There’s been a lot of noise about Trump ever since he won the election 365 days ago. But don’t confuse the sound of the Media Party grieving, and the Democrats raging, with real activity of government.
Almost immediately, Trump signed an executive order limiting immigration, and even visits, from several terrorist-infested countries.
And the idea of illegal immigrants self-deporting — which used to be a joke — it’s coming true. (Unfortunately for us, they’re just marching into Canada…)
Other things seem murkier to me, like health care; tax cuts. Both are tied up in Congressional games, left and right. But those aren’t as important to Trump supporters as new jobs and border security.
Other victories too:
The two major cities held by ISIS were liberated. All along, the U.S. military could have defeated the Islamic State within weeks. But Obama didn’t want to. Trump just did it.
He's had a good year.
America has had a good year, if you measure things that really count, rather than things journalists count.
And when you contrast America’s year with what it would have been if Hillary Clinton would have won — America dodged a huge bullet, one year ago today...
TONIGHT'S GUESTS: Andrew Klavan of PJMedia comes on to talk about "How Leftism Makes Us Stupid;" and UN expert Claudia Rosett on Trump and North Korea (who is optimistic about the president's policies.)
FINALLY: Your messages to me!
