Trump wins, and the Media Party has no clue what just happened

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Donald Trump won. I hoped he would.

But big voices all said he was going to lose: the media, the pollsters, other so-called conservatives, including senior members of the Republican Party.

In Canada, the supposedly conservative National Post, and its columnist Andrew Coyne, were rabidly anti-Trump.

According to Coyne, 50 per cent of America — the same America that voted for a black president twice — has converted back into a racist place.

Yeah, listen black people: Some guy in Canada says you have to be worried!

This morning, after Trump’s stunning win, on the front page of the National Post: “America Divided.” It’s really a stream of personal insults, written by Jonathan Kay, not just about Trump, but about those who could support such a bigot.

I doubt they actually know anyone who is a Trump supporter. So they create these caricatures.

When the rest of America was sick of open borders and political correctness and endless wars and trade deals that shut down factories, the fancy people were shocked, because they hadn’t been paying attention. Because it wasn’t cool.

Donald Trump is something new. Most of the establishment still has no idea what he represents. And the fools in the media who didn’t see it coming are now going to try to tell you what it all means.

Ignore them.

They’re still lying to you.

And I promise you, they’ll continue lying to you, as they try to tear Donald Trump down.

Tonight's guests: Kurt Schlichter, author of "People's Republic;" then the Rebel's resident historian, John Robson, who'll discuss Obama's legacy.

Chris I’m willing to take a wait & see attitude about Trump but the false narrative that the media was in it for Hillary is almost laughable, the nothing burger email scandal, the Clinton Foundation has one of the highest ratings a charity can get, the Trump foundation on the other hand doesn’t really exist, The media crushed Hillary Clinton, she was never under investigation during the election yet CNN, MSNBC, Fox etc repeated that lie day in & day out, they never called Trump on anything. Where were the stories about the ties with the Kremlin, Leaked questions to Trump from the FOX debate, The FBI leaking information to Rudy Guliano, if that were Hillary it would have been a blockbuster news article, it was barely mentioned, come on it’s time to wake up, the media put ratings ahead of integrity, now it turns out Trump offered gifts for favorable coverage & threatened others, doesn’t matter we’ll see, maybe he’ll be a great President, maybe he won’t, Hillary would have been a disaster, if you think the Republicans obstructed President Obama, Hillary would be in inquiry after inquiry & would never be allowed to be the President…

Trump won’t do 90% of the promises he made, he won’t build a wall (that’s already changed) he won’t deport 11 million undocumented immigrants (he’s already taken a step back on that), he won’t bring American jobs back (not without reducing wages, businesses are not going to come back), Mike Pence said Trump shares his Christian values about marriage equality but Trump says that SCOTUS has already made a decision that he can live with…

I can certainly understand why people voted for Trump, not because they’re xenophobic racists but because he promised to listen, he said all the right things, if you live in a town that has a coal mine, one candidate is going to close you down & the other is promising to keep you open, if you want to feed your family, there really isn’t a choice…

The right is really good @ false outrage, using the media is part of the con…

Terry, What?? Did you actually follow the US news stations? The media apart from Fox was on an all out rampage against Trump. The US media is as liberal as the CBC, and just as bought and paid for. Commentators posing as journalists. What a joke. Where did you pull those numbers from? The Clinton Foundation scandal isn’t going away. As for the over 100 Top Secret emails found on her server, she should be in jail. Wild Bill is no doubt crying like a baby. Bottom line. Trump is Pres. Suck it up and live with it. And stop squealing. It is irritating.

Donald Trump is a con man, he played the media & he played them very well, they did all his bidding, 77% of all coverage on America media since the primaries was about Trump, only 28% of the coverage was negative, they crushed Hillary Clinton, the none email scandal, CNN, NBC, MSNBC & FOX all kept saying she was under investigation but she wasn’t, day in & day out they kept up that lie, her poll numbers started to fall, I thought a week before the election that the Media was rooting for a Trump victory, they got what they wanted, let’s see what happens, I doubt he’ll do 10% of what he pledged but we’ll see…

Obama’s legacy? An emboldened Lugenpresse!

On another note, it is always worth remembering the only poll that counts is the one on election day. Everything else is hyperbole!

Andrew Coyne and the National Post is NOT a Conservative publication. I have been saying that for years now. Finally their true colours are being exposed. I have to thank Donald Trump for creating the conditions that made that exposure possible.

The trolls are indeed predictably silent and wishing reality wasn’t staring them in the face… They’ll be back sooner o later but unfortunately for the Jay Kellys and the Sean Pensons of the world you only have to go back into the readily available REBEl archives to catalogue their stupidities… Life’s a bitch eh?…

hey! what happened to the trolls? did their backers cut off their internet? lol!

When the National Post first came out about 20 years ago, I thought it was a voice of truth against the other Mainstream Media journals. Alas, it has become a part of the whole MSM mendacious ideological propaganda machine. Andrew Coyne and Jonathan Kay are just leftist liberal puppets supporting the leftist liberal fascist agenda. Thank God for Jonathan’s much more intelligent and honest and articulate and insightful and truthful mother.

Thanks for the info. I almost bought a copy of the National Post today.

Donald paid for his own campaign. He doesn’t owe any political favors, no wall street favors, No one owns a piece of Trump. We need a movement here in canada against the likes of Notley, Wynne, PM Small potatoes and his sack of small potatoes.

KARAN SINGH commented 45 mins ago . . none of the MPs (from any political party) stood & questioned it’s language, purpose & effect on ordinary Canadians. And I’ve seen no journalistic coverage/analysis/commentary by the Media. Pretty significant action by Parliament to hide from the public !! I guess the decision by the Feds is that we shouldn’t be questioning this decision, or we could face negative legal consequences. And after all it is 2016.

EVELYN COOPER commented 1 hour ago: “Ezra: What’s this all about?”

The motion presented by a muslim brotherhood operative in Canadian Parliament reads:
“Recently an infinitesimally small number of extremist individuals have conducted terrorist activities while claiming to speak for the religion of Islam. Their actions have been used as a pretext for a notable rise of anti-Muslim sentiments in Canada; and these violent individuals do not reflect in any way the values or the teachings of the religion of Islam. In fact, they misrepresent the religion. We categorically reject all their activities. They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world. We, the undersigned, Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia”.

Yes, and not a word from our conservative MPs, the Canadian Parliament ‘unanimously’ passed this motion, none of the MP (from any political party) stood & questioned it’s language, purpose & effect on ordinary Canadians.

@dh Chaisson….Elijah has rebuked the false prophets of Baal and has thrown Jezebel out of the window.

In January Trump and his family will take up residence in the Shame on You Whitey House….where no doubt the house niggas who clean up the jizz and lipstick stained towels will be relieved that the Clintons are not coming back……..:-)

It’s strange, Ezra, how the professionals could not get their “opinion polls” right. Then again, not really. The MSM never gets the truth right. They don’t know where the real polls were all along. Most of us conservatives were NOT listening to popular polls where a sample of citizenry would be called up to see what their intentions were.

We all know that those polls are a sham – most people love to give pollsters fake answers just to tease them and throw them off. Even I have fun with them. The same is true with voter registration and exit polls. Just like those phone calls asking for political support. The same is true with demographics, trying to say that such-and-such youth voted this way and elders voted that way. Indeed! Ballots are secret, and only after the vote do even a very few admit how they voted. You cannot trust these polls, because even the infamous “correct for 95% of the people 19 times out of 20” are also fake. It is all eyewash propaganda.

The real polls we conservatives see? Well, that’s the turn-outs at the rallies. For months, we saw a few hundred paid ninnies coming to Clinton rallies (with some of the paid bullies sent over to the Trump rallies), with close-up camera work giving the impression of a big crowd. A few hundred, every time! And then those huge crowds of 20,000 or more at Trump rallies, with wide views of them all. THAT demonstrated where the majority were headed. Plus, of course, the fact that voter turn-out was lower this time for young people (they’re incredibly dense and lacking in political knowledge), while the steadfast, wiser elderly voters came out in droves – for Trump.

Yup, 59 million Archie Bunkers spoke loud and clear. We are just ordinary people who are fed up with the elitist and corporate corruption .Something we need here in Canada

DuH Chaisson……you have a comprehension problem. Ezra said he HOPED Trump would win; not that he would. Could you please enlighten us of some of the dozens of failed predictions Ezra has made.

The National post is a rag , good to start a bonfire, Coyne, Jo Kay,, fortunately not his Mom Barbara who is fair, I am staying away from that newspaper and noticing is slow downfall.

Ezra Levant finally got a prediction right after dozens of failed ones. Now he thinks he’s King Predictor, lol.

Meanwhile, as I predicted, things today even got “testy” on CNN with some commentators confronting each other rather than the usual group hug… Look to a lot more of that happening in the coming weeks as many “journalists” in the US start realizing they will never get a White House interview come January the 20th… FOX News election night coverage and audience ratings prevailed over all rivals… That obit writer’s posting at the Podunk Valley Burp & Times is starting to look more and more appealing to a lot of the news crowd now working in New York and Washington right about now…

I deliberately wrote down these two headlines from the Toronto Star, just awaiting today’s early morning results in the USA… “It’s not close; Hillary Clinton the overwhelming favourite to win presidency…” That was Monday, August the 24th… Then again on Wednesday, October the 26th, it was: – “It’s not even close; Hillary Clinton the overwhelming favourite to win”… With wonderful insight like that from Canada’s largest English language daily, why would anybody but a masochist even line their canary’s cage with it?… Let alone the quickly fading National Post…

For those Trump haters who care to address realities – ( yes pumpkins, I know reality has been full of butt hurt since you left Mommy’s basement) – look at numbers Clinton pulled 6.5 million LESS votes than Obama did 4 years previous. So the diaper-wetters and tantrum-takers today should blame their crib mates who either stayed home or switched sides. The electoral vote count also shows Trump would have beaten Obama in 2012 if he stood in for Romney.

Of course Trump would not be where he is unless the electorate wanted him there. As for Obama, his legacy will be Hillary’s stunning loss as she was stupid enough to advertise her goal as a 3rd Obama term.
