Weinstein flees, but his enablers still run Hollywood (and hate you)

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Last week, we talked about Harvey Weinstein, the powerful Hollywood producer who created film studios Miramax and then the Weinstein Company. In a New York Times investigation, actresses and staff finally went on the record to describe Weinstein’s sexual assaults and extortions.

Weinstein’s own board fired him. His wife of ten years is divorcing him.

And Weinstein has fled the jurisdiction. Except when someone is a millionaire, politically-connected Democrat, you use different language in your headlines:

I’ll play you audio released through The New Yorker magazine, a police sting recording, from a wire that a model wore in an interaction with Weinstein.

Why didn’t they act on what they heard?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the tens of thousands of dollars that lawyers associated with Weinstein donated to the local District Attorney Democrat Cyrus Vance…

I don’t believe anyone distancing themselves from Weinstein now. They were all part of it.

Remember that the next time some media or showbiz type tells you you’re “deplorable.”

NEXT: PJMedia contributor and award-winning screenwriter Andrew Klavan comes on to offer his insider's take on Weinstein.

Don't miss this fresh perspective on the entertainment industry, from a veteran Hollywood insider.

THEN: Investigative undercover journalist James O’Keefe talks about his latest Project Veritas expose — this time, YouTube and New York Times insiders reveal their censorship secrets and more via hidden camera.

So Weinstein is off to Europe for tutoring. Presumably by Roman Polanski.

I don’t know if those on the right are nicer or not…but I do know my parents and most of my friend’s parents, back in the 50’s and 60’s, taught us manners and to be polite, and they were serious because in the Canadian society of that time in our Canadian culture and heritage, people were polite, mannered and civil…well, most Canadians.
I won’t use the cause and effect excuse of blaming the left’s lies/violence/deception and wholesale destruction of my country Canada for my impolite behavior in 2017 – there is no excuse for bad behavior…I’m intolerant – as in; I have no tolerance left – towards the left now – not to mention a few other groups – cause and effect at work!
And then we got Pierre’s multiculturalism and the rest of his treason and treachery force-fed to us…and here we are today! In a worse mess with his questionable offspring – Justin…here to finish the job.
The left have torn asunder our society, culture mores, system of law, thrown down our heritage and trampled on the Christian moral principles our country was founded on, in their mad dash to self-destruction, in aid of their socialist/fascist/Globalist agenda – tear down the old to build the new in the rubble…too bad for Canada – according to our Prime Minister we’re a post national state!
Oh Canada…

Dan Mancuso commented 6 mins ago, Why is it the right that always has to take the high road!?

Actually, if you watch one of Tommy Robinson’s recent videos, people who want controlled borders and are against Muslim extremists, are now called Alt-Right in the UK. Similar in America, the Left and the MSM call the same group Far-Right, Extreme-Right and Alt-Right. The Alt-Right are people who prefer a whites-only society, so what they call us is complete BS.

In any case, whatever I am and wherever I am, I make myself be polite, not that easy when I see the lies/violence/deception from the Left. Or, maybe people on the ‘Right’ are just nicer.

Ezra, I guess your ‘statement’ on the Commenter’s use of some language that may be considered…inappropriate, or something – but not politically incorrect – was a polite request for some of us to clean it up a bit…
OK. I can see that however appropriate – and unpopular with the left – some Commenters sentiments are, some of their bawdier and precisely descriptive, but coarse, rude or inappropriate words – like retarded – could be construed as possibly damaging to THEREBEL, or at least giving a bad impression – I guess the nasty little trolls infesting this site aren’t bad enough…and even though we won’t be censored for language at THEREBEL, we should maybe use some restraint…or for some of us, more restraint. Retard is a verb too ya know…like in: ‘If you want to retard your child’s intellectual and moral development, send them to a public school, let them watch TV, then finish them off with university!’

Why is it the right that always has to take the high road!?

Janice Kay—I appreciate that information on the PM’s popularity.
Being a Westerner, I would be so interested if there were two unbiased Rebels, from S. Ontario and Atlantic Canada, who would keep us informed as to their areas attitude toward the PM and the Liberals during the next two years.

Keith Barnes—-HA_HA, You got your knuckles rapped by EZRA. You have to call Trudeau an Idiot in a nice way.

Last night I posted the following tweet by the PM:
Justin Trudeau‏Verified account @JustinTrudeau
Let me be blunt: we are not going to tax anyone’s employee discounts. Minister @DiLebouthillier has asked the CRA to fix this.

Over 600 people have replied to it so far. I’d say that at least 60% are similar to the ones I’ve copied here:

1. Justin will blame whoever he needs to to salvage this. I’d believe a Tory MP over him any day of the week!
2. I’m against everything about @JustinTrudeau
3. Let me be blunt! You SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Let me be blunt: we are not going to tax anyone’s employee discounts…after getting the latest poll results.
5. Was your plan to tax the discounts & it backfired when the public found out? CRA didn’t just dream this plan up, it came from somewhere.
6. What does your trust fund say? Let’s tax that SILVER SPOON!
7. And while you’re at it, fix all the bullshit that’s happening with small businesses. We aren’t in the same ring as large corporations.
8. Nice try This is on LPC You control CRA You cancelled FN &charity audits that were2be done CRA Don’t pretend this isn’t your responsibility
9. Let me be blunt: we are not going to tax anyone’s employee discounts…after getting the latest poll results.
10. Look forward to when you are blunt about taxing the trust funds / tax havens that you + @Bill_Morneau enjoy. #taxandspendliberals #hatebiz
11. Funny how fast u r on clarifying this…but a question about visits to the ethics commish goes months with no such direct response.
12. More of your endless MOOSE SH*T… #cdnpoli #liar #propaganda

This is what happens when humans focus primarily on and/or solely on sexual desire for pleasure and ignore its true purpose… In other words, the predictable result of an anti God, anti-scientific, neo-Darwinian philosophy that endeavours to place God and absolute morality into the dust heap of history.

Fascinating to watch the sanctimonious Hillywood (that was a typo but I sort of like it) club venting their spleen’s about the degradation of women by a wealthy leftist idol-rainmaker. It see that they’ve now embraced Eminen, the washed up mysoginist culture-appropriating rapper, as their new best friend.

A lot of people are wondering how could it go on for so long, and why did everyone look the other way, including now famous and wealthy celebs who had themselves been victimized earlier on. I see that for some of the commenters here it’s tempting to pin the blame on the victims, you know, why didn’t they just boot him in the groin and run away. A part from the shock and confusion that really is a major factor when you unexpectedly find yourself in a room with an ugly aging half-naked pigman holding a bottle of hand cream, the corrupt entertainment biz sucks in a lot of naive young women who think they’re a lot more worldly and empowered than they really are. The lure of money and fame is pretty intoxicating and getting yourself ahead becomes the priority, even if you end up getting degraded and exploited in the process. Do it once and it’s easier to do it again. As the fame and fortune piles up you come to see it as part of paying your dues. When you see it happening to others it’s easy to look the other way because they’re just paying their dues. These are the people we are encouraged to look up to and emulate and who are quick to tell us how to live our lives. The hypocritical shitshow is pretty engrossing to watch.

Nice doubleheader, the hypocrisy and corruption of both Hollywood and the New York Times exposed in one show. That is gonna leave a mark.

Robert Evans please show me all the MSM stories on Bill Clintons accusers? Far less coverage of those than Trumps accusers of course.
commented 2017-10-12 01:55:39 -0400
Robert Evans Trump challenged them to bring it to court REMEMBER? LMAO! The left is so pathetic and childish.
commented 2017-10-12 01:53:40 -0400
Robert Evans why did the Hollywood hypocrites jump on Cosby quickly? Lets see your BS excuse for that one.
commented 2017-10-12 01:52:28 -0400
Robert Evans they suddenly remembered when the election was almost done? And the one on the plane was said to be lying by a witness , and another admitted she was lying. And they tried to press charges, had lawyer in their corner. REMEMBER? LMAO! You are such a fool. And some of Weinstiens accusers did press charges , there were multiple settlements and non disclosure agreements. FOOL!

I wouldn’t even want to sit beside Harvey, but to think all these women were innocent little virgins is just fooling yourself. Girls 15 years old even in my day, know more about men than men know.

I find it suspicious that the women complaining fall into two groups:
1. They are famous, so they can say anything and not worry about their careers.
2. They are the losers that never made it, so they need something to blame.
He did it, he’s guilty, and he is a degenerate; all I’m saying is they knew what they were doing.

Al Peterson,

For the exact same reason why Weinstein’s accusers didn’t press charges.

You mean because Trump is being protected by the left wingers?
commented 2017-10-12 00:05:33 -0400
We are already seeing the seating at the liberal elites’ head table is changing.

Ben Affleck very quickly apologized for pubically groping some woman at some event that no one remembers. Affleck’s own position, he fears, is under threat. But he also sees an opportunity to succeed Weinstein.

And then there’s George Clooney. With his personal wealth exceeding $1 billion, Clooney liberal credentials assured, and his hatred for Trump and the GOP legendary, he is in an excellent position to succeed Weinstein. And with George Soros’ own longevity uncertain, Clooney could certainly move into a position of even greater prominence.

And don’t underestimate the leverage of someone like Tom Cruise in all this. Cruise and Scientology could certainly make massive inroads in alliance with Clooney.

And then there’s Gweneth Paltrow – her victim self-declaration places her in a position to find great influence among liberal elites.
commented 2017-10-11 23:45:52 -0400
Actually, the Oscar should go to Weinstein for his acting. He’s so good at keeping up the act. In fact, next year’s Oscar should go to Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Hilary Clinton, Michelle Obama for their realistic portrayal as LIARS.

commented 2017-10-11 23:15:40 -0400
Robert Evans. Seriously bros? For starters, the credibility in the Weinstein case comes from the fact that these women don’t need the money, and are of the same political tribe, and he was so prolific everybody knew about it. The Trump accusers are from the opposing tribe, and lack credibility on the face of it, and any astute reporter would never publish this “counter-weight”, and no astute reader would fall for it.
commented 2017-10-11 23:10:26 -0400
That’s nothing Robert Evans… Justin Trudeau’s best friend in BC is a convicted pedophile… but then again it comes as no surprise because all liberals and liberal supporters are pedophiles.. Any sane person with decent moral integrity would be screaming right now about the sex education program in Ontario that was written by a liberal and convicted pedophile working for Cathleen Whynn.!! More over the whole system in our society is bent and geared towards something of a sexually perverse nature and it all has to do with the liberals (progressives) Cater to one freak in the political world and you have to cater to them all.!!
commented 2017-10-11 23:06:10 -0400
So, Robert, why aren’t these women who accuse Trump filing charges? IF he did in fact do these things then he should be jailed. But an accusation comes cheap. It isn’t the same as a conviction or even evidence.

EZRA , Super show tonight , two great guests, I hope you have ANDREW KLAVAN as a regular from Hollywood - that fake wood

I liked the equation of swinestien to gamessy while his arms are around the Canadian CRIMEMINISTER

Swinestien __—- thanks BILL

- Democrats seem to have a lot of sex scandals for people who accuse others of having a war on women.

- Always great to hear from Andrew Klavan. These “progressives” are phony as hell. They indulge in transference (projecting their failings onto others) habitually.

- I’ve been following the Project Veritas videos. James O’Keefe & his team are doing great work. Exposing YouTube was a huge bonus. You just know there are many more videos to come.
commented 2017-10-11 21:17:03 -0400
Swinestein isn’t going anywhere. The Trump Justice dept. smelled Harvey pulling a Roman Polanski and bugging out on a rape indictment so he is under FBI investigation now and grounded until that concludes. If he does skip he can be extradited.

Back in 2004 a junior journalist at the New York Times already had the story of how some guy being paid $400,000 a year as an employee of Weinstein’s Miramax did nothing for his pay other than procure all manner of women for Weinstein’s pleasure. Along with Weinstein’s bullying of the NYT, Matt Damon and Russell Crowe also pleaded with the paper not to publish the story. I find this most disturbing. No morals at all. It’s amazing how the acting quality of the Hollywood elites has taken such a nosedive. No Oscar winning lying performances over this one. Also Lee Smith in the Weekly Standard makes the point that the only reason this story has finally come out now is because of who is in the WH. Had Hillary been elected president, this story would still be under wraps because it would have ended up being more about Bill than Weinstein which would have been too embarrassing for the first woman president.
