Canadian media declare Halloween costumes “racist.” But what’s their real agenda?

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The Toronto Star is furious:

"Racist Halloween costumes still abound in Toronto stores”

We have terrorists in Canada, open borders, a finance minister hiding his secret assets — and the Star has found a worthy subject of investigation: a Halloween costume called “Dream Catcher Cutie.”

But if you were racist against Indians, you wouldn’t want to dress up as a beautiful Indian princess. It makes no sense.

Half-way through this breathless article, they sort of admit: it’s not really racist at all.

So what’s the problem here again?

It's that the outrage industry needs something new to be outraged about.

The CBC is all over this “news,” too:

"What not to wear: Poster campaign highlights offensive Halloween costumes”

So one branch of the state — the state broadcaster — is backing up what another government agency, a Canadian university, is doing.

The Globe and Mail doesn’t want to be left out:

“What not to wear: Ontario school board targets offensive Halloween costumes”

Costumes like… “terrorist.” No, don’t stereotype terrorists — they’re people too!

But it’s easier for a school board to focus on this than to, say, focus on spelling tests or the times tables, isn’t it?

And it’s easier for a scolding journalist at the CBC to scream at everyone instead of looking at the flaws in their own rotting organization...

NEXT: Candice Malcolm joins me to talk about her exclusive front page story in the Sun today:

Morneau Shepell — the firm founded by the father of Finance Minister Bill Morneau — has a contract with the Bank of Canada worth over $8 million.

THEN: Sheila Gunn Reid will be returning to the UN Climate Change Conference this year, this time in Bonn, Germany.

The Rebel will do what we did last year:

Pulling back the curtain on the virtue-signally globalist elites, and bringing you stories no one else will report.

FINALLY: I read your messages to me!

Can you look in the mirror?

It’s like some sort of bizarre koan thinking about “white supremacist shoes”.

I live in the Cowichan Valley and our First Nations people sell Cowichan Tribes related garb all the time and love it when they see non First Nations people wearing their art. If a little Caucasian girl dressed as Pocahontas they’d smile and give her candy. The First Nations peoples don’t care about this stupidity anyways, they care about feeding their families and having clean water, a decent place to live and regular garbage removal. Reserve housing is assigned after application by the band and so are reserve housing repairs; and poorer bands and/or more corrupt bands have little resources left over after the more powerful of the tribe or those with certain family connections have taken their "entitlements"and diverted the rest through family business and overpaid administrative positions. As a result, a lot of families are stuffed into rat-infested slums that make some First Nations communities look like the third world. But it’s a little girl in fake knee-high moccasins they’re worried about over a need to revise the existing system. Okay.

I actually also wore a form of hijab when I drove a Fiat Spider convertible with the top down twice, but that was to protect my hairstyle. I’ve worn everything from every culture likely, or at least influenced by other cultures. I’ve never had someone from the culture I was “appropriating” give me anything but praise.

Only the annoying pseudo-intellectuals with their algae-eating, essential oil curing, aura-seeing, bandwagon-jumping ways take issue. The ones that take part in every viral challenge or cause aujourd’hui même with their attention deficit intellect. They replace psychology with self help, science with new age, and medicine with magic. Studying any one thing beyond a superficial skim takes time, patience, and sometimes (most times) does not come with any sort of definitive answer. Or the answer isn’t what you like so you change the narrative.

And this translates into misunderstandings across the board from economics to climate science. And here we are.

Sheila Gunn Reid as a “Bulldog”? Hmmm. Tenacity and stubbornness, yeah. But when I think of a Bulldog I think of Winston Churchill with a big fat stogie sticking out of his mouth.
I think of Sheila Gunn Reid more as a shepherd, like a Border Collie, lithe, athletic, sensitive, highly intelligent, and doesn’t take any crap from anybody!

Amazing promo for The Tommy Robinson Show!

Good to see Candice back! Well to be honest, good to see someone other than the same three reporters over and over and over. I thought Rebel was getting a new team of journalists? Instead the “Archives” section has grown and nobody new has taken their place. Laura and Claire are gone. Jay, Eric, Candice, Lucy, Tanveer, and Alexander barely ever pop up. Too many articles from the mysterious “Rebel Staff”- we need fresh faces!

I think Jack Lemon dressed up as an Indian man in the movie, The Party. It was hilarious!

The “agenda” (unstated, cloaked in pretzel justice) is always bigotry against one culture – western culture. Time we did a little cultural re-appropriating ourselves and remind the radicalized elements exactly which culture allows the the freedom to be wrong.

As alternative costume that is not racist :
A long Pinocchio nose and a name tag the says " CBC news reporter" . Also comes with a large bag labelled ‘bullshit’ and has a shovel.

Attacking children over their Halloween costumes!
A new low for the Liebral /Left think tank.
This cultural appropriation nonsense is yet another example of how the Liebral /Left seek to divide and weaken society through their multi-cultural policies so they can gain more power for themselves over all.

Drew, that is hilarious. I also wonder how many Hillary or even Justin costumes will be out there, or should be. You know there will be Trump masks, why not Hillary and Justin. Halloween should be a time we are allowed to be irreverent. Nothing should be off limits.

Tommy’s trailer is really well done. Perfect soundtrack(that is one of my bugaboos with the rest of the shows, strange theme songs/sounds. Menzie’s is good)
I give it 5 years in Canada, max. Already our cities are changing at a rapid rate.
Mosques are a territorial statement,
Niqab/burka’s are a political statement and
Islam’s modus operandi is to infiltrate and conquer any country that will let them. Canadians who are so tangled up with their political correctness and their ‘white Christian’ guilt and revulsion don’t even smell the threat. Canada has already rolled over to Islam. Islam knows we are an easy mark, and they are doing what Islam does. Time to find your pride and strength Canada. This infiltration completed, is going to feel a whole lot worse than being called a few bad names by the morally corrupt left and the pillaging ideology of fundamentalist Islam.
Islam and the globalists are attached at the hip for the time being. The fight is against that combined threat.
Tommy’s work could not be more important to us.

The problem is that years ago the government closed down too many Mental Hospitals now those that should have been institutionalized are running society. Another problem is choosing to live in Toronto where this stuff is bred and fed. This stuff doesn’t happen in small town Canada. I’d rather have my right arm cut off then live in Toronto!

ROBERT MCCLELLAND… Interesting observation re The National Post… I also have noted some items in the past few weeks that do not seem to reflect the standard “Bash Harper” spirit it displayed so readily going into the last federal election, and since… I would love to know what’s happening on the newsroom floor and if maybe “the penny has dropped” about why their traditional readership is abandoning them…

There must be some Harvey Weinstien costumes out there, or you could just wear a shirt that says I am a Rapist , but i am a left wing Hollywood Rapist so it is not a big deal.

I found it interesting that the politicians who were so opposed to granting Quebec distinct society status have so readily assumed the position for the newest group of “special” people.

Ezra, Morneau hold the shares of Morneau Shepell through a numbered company to avoid immediate taxes on dividends paid or other revenus from the operating company. That’s tax avoidance. Do not forget, Canadians voted for the Libranos.
The one who always disguises himself is Justin. He never loses an occasion to wear cultural clothing of Hindus, Arabs, and so on. This past week, he was disguised as an Hindu and it’s not Halloween yet. He must be racist.

Time for the all these so called grown ups to leave the kids alone and let them enjoy their childhood as they were left alone to enjoy and dream and have fun. Childhood doesn’t last very long and too soon all the pains of growing up come at you from every angle. Yeah leave those kids alone and go bother another grown up.
commented 2017-10-20 22:14:42 -0400
So the super shallow Lefty’s at the Toronto Star are accusing children of being too shallow (insufficientLy appreciative) ? They’re projecting their feelings of guilt onto children now? Yeah, tell me to get lost!!

The Left can not rise above politics even for an instant. They have to push their agenda into every situation whether it’s something that’s just plain fun like Halloween, or any cultural event or any religious event or anything else. They live to promote their agenda and that makes them sooooo boring.

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt commented 1 hour ago, " Sheila, please pack some disguises when you attend the next Climate Change Cult gathering in Bonn."

Maybe she can buy a blonde wig and go as Climate Barbie.

On the subject of Bill Morenow, Rex Murphy of the Nasty Post has an excellent article entitled “Liberal A Team works diligently to seem obnoxious, evasive, out of touch”.
Also what the hell is going on over at the Post? Check out these headlines from their site.
Christie Blatchford: “How is it that McGuinty Staff had not a single document on cancelled gas plants.”
Lawrence Solomon: “Trudeau stubbornly Keeps Canada with Paris while others bail”
Conrad Black: “Quebec is now the beacon of astute economic policy in this country”
Then there is “How Bill Morneau went from political star to Liberal liability because of loopholes.”
Is it just me or has the Post had a come to Jesus moment since they launched their six page Death Star against the Rebel? Call me crazy.

EZRA , great show tonight
SHEILA , I’d pay to see you go to the global warming climate conference and report back
TOMMY, I expect you in my living room next week
I think I’ll go as the CRIMEMINISTER , but first have to find a heavy duty shop vac to suck out my brains to get in character

- People who see everything through the lens of race are the real racists. The Toronto Star is the most racist rag in Toronto. They want the Liberals pet hand picked natives to go to environmental meetings in Europe & put on the headdress & dance around & act the part & condemn Canada’s energy programs & the rest of the time they want them to disappear. How many natives have issued complaints? I’m guessing it’s all been race baiting white Liberal useful idiots. None of this is news. It’s a distraction. The Liberals have dug themselves into a hole & the mainstream media is looking for squirrels to point at.

- So now that Morneau has been found out he’s willing to do the right thing but not really. He’s a crook. He knows he’s a crook & while he was being a crook he’s been calling Canadians tax cheats. No wonder the Liberals have been so “transparent”.

- China as an environmentalist super power is as hilarious as Trudeau as a master negotiator. The UN doesn’t want journalists in Bonn. They want cheerleaders posing as journalists (& they have plenty to choose from).

- Looking forward to Tommy’s show. Big, big fan.

Bonn Germany is one of the “MOST EXPENSIVE” cities in Europe. When I was there 25 years ago breakfast in a 3 star hotel was $35 for buffet. We bought a baguette and cheese on the corner for our meals the rest of the day. In those days, the military per diem was only $35 per day. I have no idea how expensive it is today. Perhaps Sheila could take a photo of a menu at a conference hotel.
Won’t need as many bodyguards this time. Maybe only one!

If putting on a traditional Indian nehru outfit on Halloween is offensive then how about me putting on coats and ties and shoes everyday for the past 7 years of my life!! Have I been offensive so long!!! I would on the contrary consider it as a symbol of deep inter-cultural respect…. it seems Canadian MSM is either trying to make a mockery of cultural diversity or create a deep rift.
