Canadian diplomats in Cuba are under attack, and Trudeau doesn’t care

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Here’s some strange, troubling news from Havana, Cuba: "At least 5 Canadian diplomats and families hit by mysterious 'sound attacks' in Cuba, source says”

Justin Trudeau won’t denounce it. Because he loves Cuba with the childish love of a naive boy, intoxicated by their authoritarian regime, a regime that Trudeau, like his father, envies.

Remember Trudeau’s gross eulogy when Fidel Castro himself died?

Then Trudeau toured Cuba. Did the photo ops help Raul Castro demonstrate to his own citizens that he is a normal, well-respected leader, that democrats around the world treat him with legitimacy. Obviously Trudeau didn’t call for free speech or multi-party elections.

Tonight, I’ll review Justin Trudeau’s numerous concessions to Cuba.

And you can’t point to a single thing they’ve done to make life freer for Cubans since Trudeau has given Castro everything.

Now, our diplomats are being attacked. Trudeau doesn’t have a word to say — and the CBC itself won’t dare ask him for a word about it — they’re too busy making excuses for Cuba.

Hey, do you doubt that Trudeau is exactly the same way with other evil regimes, like China and Iran...?

NEXT: Columnist Lorne Gunter and I talk about the race for the leadership of the United Conservative Party.

THEN: I'm joined by David Bradley, O. Henry Award winning writer and retired professor who has fought the censorship of novels like Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

We talk about a story I reported this week, about schools banning Shakespeare in the name of "diversity."

FINALLY: I tease an announcement about the new talent joining us at the end of this month!

This is all thanks to you and your steady, generous support at StandWithTheRebel.com, so we're grateful for that.

I totally agree with Lorne Gunter that whoever in the UCP takes over and decimates the NDP’s in the next election is worthy, BUT! the very LAST THING either Brian Jean or Jason Kenney should do is announce pre-election that they will rid NDP 40,000+ government parasite positions (hopefully more) upon obtaining office.
This is, of course, what they should do, Just to say so aforetime is political suicide. Just look at Tim Hudak in Ontario. All he was saying that, to put Ontario’s budget on solid ground, was to eliminate 150,000 government employees, most of whom would have been eliminated due to attrition.
Tim Hudak lost resoundingly, mostly because of the influx of copious funds from unions, which we have a preponderance of here in Alberta.

Come on Ezra …. quit keeping us in suspense and spill the beans on who you are bringing into the Rebel.

Who fit’s this description?

Grandiosity is a symptom experienced by people with bipolar disorder during manic and hypomanic episodes. People experiencing grandiosity often describe larger-than-life feelings of superiority. In short, it is an exaggerated sense of one’s importance, power, knowledge or identity, which often has religious overtones.

Steve Hicken, this video was uploaded shortly after Castro’s death. Stephan Molyneux will give you much to think about.

The Cuban people are suffering, and, have been silenced by the dictatorship.

These days almost no one has the fortitude to read either the Bible or Shakespeare, yet in my former church the little children memorized large sections of the Bible and they understood clearly what it said. It wasn’t hard to teach them and they have grown up completely at ease with Old English. Did I mention they were of various “races” to…children of various backgrounds learning FROM the Bible that: “God has made of ONE blood all the nations of the earth”…sounds like God isn’t as racist as the Peel School board.

On Cuba:
Dirty, stinkin’ commie scum…yeah, I meant the Trudeaus!

On banning Shakespeare:
I guess what the state is teaching, or rather indoctrinating our children with, blatantly now, is identity politics and all the other social justice lefty propaganda – in place of English lit.
And speaking of “the English literary tradition”, I liked Bradley’s answer about why it should be taught, number one is because it is part of the English literary tradition – one example being all the words and phrases invented out of whole cloth by Shakespeare that we still use daily in our lexicon, as Ezra pointed out previously.
This coordinated assault against our traditions, heritage and base – our language – must be stopped. The ‘people’ perpetrating it must be rooted out, exposed and punished. They’ll be the 5 P’s.
Book banning? How is that not completely fascistic and totalitarian? And Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language!?
These are insane people doing this…insane!

Correction: Iqra Khalid, MP for Mississauga.

As your guest said, Shakespeare is an important literary tradition. What nerve to expect to start banning books under the premise of colour. So add to the literary stock pile don’t delete from it. What on earth do they want to replace Shakespeare with in high schools? I shudder to think. The movie Romeo and Juliette with Olivia Hussey first came out when I was in high-school, but we studied it in class before I ever saw the movie version. Merchant of Venice, Othello, why do you think they made movies from these stories? Because they were great stories. Are they going to target the Stratford Shakespeare Festival next?

Peel district, encompassing Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon is mostly brown these days. Christian, Sikh then a Muslim population, with a smattering of other minorities, in that order.
Muslims are the only group which get any consideration in that district. All the other groups are fighting to stop prayer rooms in their public school and other outrageous Islamic accommodations. It is only natural that the apologist school board would start banning books. This must be stopped. The devils who are enabling this take over should be chased out of the country. I am talking particularly the head of the school board, mayors and Iqra Khalid, the MP for Peel. They are proving a unified, formidable foe. I wouldn’t have my kid in school in that toxic district. I can only hope that the next municipal elections will modify some of their power.

Steve Hicken has never seen poverty with his own eyes.
Poverty is there when they have nothing to sell to you.

Steve Hicken then why do so many ex pat Cubans say otherwise and why do they risk their lives to get away. If you really believe that then go there and speak out publicly on a major street against the government. I DARE YOU!

There are no controlled economies that actually work and Cuba is no exception. The reason places like Cuba and North Korea haven’t collapsed is because of the Capitalist black market economy that bribes officials all the way to the top of the chain. This said, Cuban forced totalitarianism is a nightmare existence. If you attempt to question, criticize, satirize or protest the regime you can have your property seized before you are dragged to a detention center to have the crap beaten out of you. If that doesn’t shut your mouth, then a prison sentence where you live in horrible conditions, work 12 hour days and are beaten if you don’t meet production quotas. I’ve had friends who have told me how happy the Cubans seem to them, but what else are they going to seem to some western professional with money to spend?

The death of Shakespeare in the education system doesn’t surprise me at all. Education is increasingly becoming a cog-producing machine producing components for the larger economic industrial mechanism. Education has become about turning humans into instruments of utility to serve “the greater good” . So we can be a nice uniform inoffensive mass of obedient followers. Hurrah.

The reason why the individuals experience heat is because the ultrasound waves cause the water molecules under the skin to cavitate. The World Health Organization describes the effects of much higher frequency ultrasound in this way, “Ultrasound cavitation can create powerful shockwaves far above the speed of sound and cavitational bubble collapse temperatures of thousands of degrees”. WHO (1982) Is the application of lower frequency sound waves as described in the above video, including diagnostic ultrasound (DUS) a routine practice applied to nearly all pregnant women indeed safe? Although these lower frequency sound waves are widely declared to be “harmless” I question that belief. It is not that uncommon for pregnant mothers to experience fetal trauma, maternal pain and vaginal bleeding following low frequency DUS.

The following article states, “One challenge that ultrasound operators face is keeping the transducer positioned over the part of the fetus the operator is trying to visualize. When fetuses move away from the stream of high-frequency sound waves, they may be feeling vibrations, heat or both. As the FDA warned in 2004, “ultrasound is a form of energy, and even at low levels, laboratory studies have shown it can produce physical effect in tissue, such as jarring vibrations and a rise in temperature.”(9) This is consistent with research conducted in 2001 in which an ultrasound transducer aimed directly at a miniature hydrophone placed in a woman’s uterus recorded sound “as loud as a subway train coming into the station”.”

Tell you one thing, if they were under attack in Canada, turdo la doo would fly into action. He’d be just like his old man when Laporte got murdered.. He’d shit his pants, triple his bodyguard, and call in the army.

He is the fagboy.

Do not complain about what he does – as a natural arse hole he does what he wants and to hell with you.

As long as you kiss his ass you will be fine – go against him and he can and will be quite dangerous.

If you did not vote for him then your friends and family did.

So – go look in the mirror to see the problem.

If you are not working to depose this dictator then you are indeed part of the problem.

The other issue is the new Conservative leader will be another example of weak, insipid and narcissistic leadership.

In fact I do not think he will be any better and possibly could even be worse.

Time will tell.

your account of the people in Cuba is way out in left field. Maybe you should go to Cuba . They are by no means repressed or mistreated by the govt. They may not have what we have but they are doing just fine . And just as the people of Russia love Putin the Cubans love Fidel. Everyone there are great and friendly and helpful . Time to put the past where it belongs . in the past.

True turd probably never rented a car in Cuba to mingle with the local population to find out that bananas are export only.

Trudeau is a Racist, he hates Anglo Saxons so much that he is organizing their sudden demise from what used to be Canada.

When I was a Kid in the UK, you could buy Boot Polish that came in Black or Brown and was called Niggers Black and Niggers Brown, respectively. I guess things have changed for the better now.

Trudeau cannot be bothered with the health and welfare of Diplomats in Cuba.
His admiration of Cuban Communist Regime is an absolute disgrace. It is lunacy to hold a dictatorship to such high esteem.
Trudeau is not an Accidental Marxist…training began at his step-father’s knee (PET)!
Add his “friend” Gerald Butts to the equation; Trudeau’s malleable brain has certainly been greatly influenced to create a dictatorship here. Consider his alliance with Islamists and globalists, he is willing to hand over Canada without reservation!

Great interview with David Bradley, we can’t abandon literature!

Very much enjoyed Dr. Bradley and Mr. Levant discussing the value of literature. I think the discussion of literature is the the true passion of Mr. Levant, even more than politics. But literature is free speech, so one and the same for Mr. Levant. Maybe the “fall line-up” will have a show about literature? As a ‘literaturephile’ and bibliophile I would love it.

Again, good to see Mr. Gunter. Nice to know there is a PostMedia pundit with integrity.

- Is it really that big a surprise at this point that Trudeau doesn’t care about what happens to Canadians? It wouldn’t surprise me if he offered up the diplomats as guinea pigs. What does surprise me is that the CBC even reported on it at all.

- Brian Jean has been pandering to the leftists. Jason Kenny would be my choice at this point.

- Given that it’s the school board making the anti-Shakespeare move I’m thinking they would rather teach something they like better – like Karl Marx Communist Manifesto.

- Fine interview, get well, looking forward to the new folks.

You mean that a brown student can’t appreciate this passage?

“Come, gentle night, come, loving, black-browed night,
Give me my Romeo. And when I shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
~ Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare
