More media layoffs, while the CBC keeps hiring. That’s no coincidence.

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Big news today from Rogers Media: Their magazines Canadian Business and MoneySense are ending their print editions. Maclean’s will now be printed just once a month.

A group of 146 newspapers in Quebec are looking for a bail-out from the government.

The Toronto Star says they used to have 470 reporters. Now they have just 170. The Globe, the Post, all are cutting back.

And every news article I’ve referred to in the last five minutes except one all came from one source: the CBC.

How can anyone compete with the CBC, that gets a $1.2 billion a year taxpayer hand-out. Now that everything’s merging on the Internet, the CBC just destroys everything in its path — even though the Broadcasting Act, that creates the CBC, does not extend to the Internet.

Today, more than 50 per cent of working journalists in Canada work for the CBC. I’ll show you their hiring page. New journalists being snapped by the CBC, with your tax dollars.

And the tax dollars paid by Rogers. And the Star. And all their other private sector competitors…

NEXT: Broadcaster Dave Rutherford talks about the Notley NDP’s carbon taxes, and the minimum wage increase that goes into effect tomorrow. Meanwhile, more candidates have entered the Conservative Party leadership, but only Kenney is the unity candidate.

THEN:'s Candice Malcolm joins me to discuss plans by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship to spend as much as $250,000 for new studies on how best to integrate Syrian refugees into their new community.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Why is anyone surprised???

Prime Minister Cuck gave the CBC a substantial budget increase of $675 million!!! How many bought and paid for liberal sheep does that employ???
Liberals are master manipulators are are very quick to reward the media for their biased and one sided agenda!
For instance… "Mike Duffy’s $90,000 moving and residence expenses as a Senator require criminal charges… meanwhile, Gerald Ass (aka Butts) $125,000 moving expenses from Toronto to Ottawa are completely reasonable!

Canada is a joke!!!!! We have voters that want to crucify Duffy over $90,000 worth of moving and living expenses from PEI to Ottawa… meanwhile, the same people look the other way when Gerald “asshole” Butts spends $125,000 to move from Toronto to Ottawa!

Politicians are no longer the problem in democracies like Canada… it’s the completely uneducated, uninformed and hypocritical electorate that continually demonstrate their inability to differentiate between “liberal” crimes and “conservative” crimes!
Liberals seem to be the biggest perpetrators of hypocrisy in this day and age. In fact, the vast majority of liberal voters can not even articulate a complete sentence without using the word “ah” or “like”.

… liberals, ah, are like totally retarded, and, ah, can’t even like come up with, ah, their own, ah, single, ah, independent thought.

I mean like, Trudeau is just so cool! Harper is just like, ah, some sort of like dictator.

The next generation of Canada.

Poor Sean, he honestly believes that his beloved Trudeau is a Liberal. Think again , my old Son, Your darling leader is a fully paid up, card carrying Marxist. Wake up Kid and smell the roses. You like the rest of us have been right royally screwed.

The only reason that your hero is PM is because the Islamic controlled UN arranged it that way.

Gets my blood boiling thinking that Harper and the Conservatives did nothing to dump the CBC from the public purse.

I think Dave Rutherford is wrong when he says the Wildrose Party can’t win an election in Alberta! The Wildrose Party won overwhelmingly in rural Alberta in the last two elections! It is the cities in Alberta and Canada for that matter that lack the ability to separate the true conservative candidates from the fakes.

What a joke, of course the left hates monopolies unless they have them. Will never give the CBC the time of day , nor will i help if i see one of their people getting attacked.

- I recently finished reading Brian Lilley’s book “CBC Exposed”. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to take a closer look at what horrible things have been going on with the state broadcaster. (I also loved Ezra’s “Ethical Oil” & Sheila’s “The Destroyers” – Other books are on deck.

- The Alberta NDP’s experiment seems to be to see how much it takes to send Albertans into full revolt.

- What is it about the Liberals & fake refugees? They can’t get enough phony Syrian refugees into the country & now it turns out they have a fake refugee in the cabinet.

- I watch the member’s only content here & everything else on YouTube (& sometimes Facebook as well, though I’m not on Facebook all that often.) I don’t block advertisements on the YouTube videos – I think the work The Rebel does is important but to keep getting the word out means you have to keep the lights on as well (so to speak.)

When Conservative candidates start getting interviewed on MSM, I’d love to hear them ask questions of THEM! Hey, how come you guys keep trying to hide the truth? How come you keep claiming terrorists are just mentally ill? Do you have a doctor’s record to prove that? Or, simply give some zingers. When the media try to imply they’re racist they can simply tell them to get out more often, and they’re out of touch, and shouldn’t be aiding the Islamists by trying to hide the truth. It’s why everyone is turning to TheRebel (haha, give you a plug).
