Canadians (and people around the world) donated millions to a Gofundme crowdfunding page to raise money for the families.
A left-wing Canadian journalist and activist named Nora Loreto tweeted a picture of the Humbolt Broncos' Gofundme page, which had raised millions of dollars, and she said:
This is a lot of money. I'm trying to not get cynical about what is a totally devastating tragedy but the maleness, the youthfulness and the whiteness of the victims are, of course, playing a significant role.
The bodies were not yet buried, but Nora Loreto thinks people are being so generous out of... racism and sexism?
Thousands of people criticized her tweet, but she reacted by turning herself into the real victim, of "how the far right manufactures hate online."
Nora Loreto has written for the Globe & Mail, is a star at Maclean’s magazine, and a regular at an unreadable but mainstream magazine called The Walrus. Subsidized by the Liberal government, of course.
My point is that Canada’s scolding, censoring mainstream media — who marginalize anyone who dissents about any real controversy — they’re just fine with this gross woman, because she’s on the left...
