Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg reveals how they’re going to censor news in the next election

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Mark Zuckerberg is the name most people think of if they think of the executives at Facebook.

But there’s another senior personality at Facebook who is increasingly important — COO Sheryl Sandberg. She was the architect of monetizing you — turning you, and Facebook’s other two billion users, into the product that’s bought and sold.

Here’s what Sandberg told National Public Radio (NPR) a few days ago:

QUESTION: Are you prepared for the 2018 congressional elections, which are essentially upon us?

ANSWER: We are doing everything we can to be prepared, and I can talk about some of those specific steps. Fake news — fake news is a really important part of what people are concerned about...

Now, a lot of people talk about "fake news" and what they mean is:

Biased news; in Canada, the CBC shilling for Trudeau, that sort of thing.

But have you ever heard of anyone real say they really wish Facebook would censor it for them, so they didn’t have to worry their pretty little heads themselves?

No, that’s a politician’s answer — usually a politician on the left.

TONIGHT I'll tell you more of what Sandberg said, like about Facebook "proactively" "responding" when someone posts something "that looks like it might be false" — by "dramatically decreasing its distribution" on Facebook.

So, you have 100 or 1,000 Facebook friends. And if you share the wrong opinions, Facebook won’t let you.

Sheryl Sandberg controls more media than the editors of the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Toronto Star and CBC combinedtimes ten.

And she just decided that to put her finger on the scale, to tip the balance.

Have you seen a single story about this in Canada?

And do you doubt that, in Canada, we here at The Rebel are the number one target for Trudeau and Sandberg and their left-wing censors?

TONIGHT'S GUESTS: Candice Malcolm joins me to talk about Trudeau's plan to welcome immigrants with serious health problems; then Aaron Wudrick, Federal Director of the Canadian Taxpayer's Federation, discusses Notley's proposal to nationalize the Trans Canada pipeline.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Ron Voss, very interesting post.

Trudeau is pushing Canada toward a collapse; a totalitarian state is appealing to him.

- I just got my first comment banned for “violating community standards” the other night. The only people who don’t believe Facebook, YouTube/Google & Twitter are censoring people are people on the far left. When people know they’re being lied to & manipulated the censorship becomes less & less effective.

- Sorry Canadians but the healthcare line just got longer so the Liberals can virtue signal. Are they trying to collapse the entire system or are the just really stupid? That always seems to be the question when dealing with the Liberals.

- If I’m not mistaken it was Reagan who said of government “if it moves they tax it. If it keeps moving they regulate it. When it stops moving they subsidize it.” We seem to be entering the third part of that when it comes to the Canadian energy sector. The last thing that Canadian’s need is government control of the energy sector. What we need is to get rid of the Liberals & NDP.

Good Comment John! Why is The Rebel dancing around the fact that this immigration policy has nothing to do with immigration and has everything to do with invasion. The problems you are bringing up at The Rebel are exactly the fruit that was intended by our globalist controlled government. THIS IS BEING DONE BY DESIGN!!! To bankrupt the country, To create a dangerous environment requiring more gun control and surveillance laws, and to plant operatives for future terrorist activities.

The more they try to create an orwellian society the more people hate them. They will not succeed.

Nationalizing the pipeline is just the beginning step in a revision of Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Program. NEP v.2.0

Hopefully Albertans still have a memory of that “bend Alberta over and rape it” program enough to notice Trudeau in cooperation with Notley is subtly moving to take Alberta’s oil and gas revenues for Ottawa.

Jason Kenny does not seem to be bright enough to notice … or maybe he is complicit.

The government absolutely sucks at providing English classes to newcomers. There is a huge wait list. It is so bad, that newcomers have to go to volunteer run private organizations that sponsor refugees over, in order to learn English there.

Fck Facebook. I don’t get news from them

Liza Rosie—All of Canada has had enough of Justin’s Immigration. According to Ezra’s number, 92% of us have had enough. Last I heard 85 to 90% aren’t working after 2.5 years.
I’m being generous by saying that if they aren’t working after 3 years, deport them and their families.
Why do we never hear how the Refugees are doing in their English-French lessons ?

Canadian Patriot—If you think that’s bad, ask Jason about his Immigration Policy. If not held in check by someone strong like Fildebrandt , Alberta will have more Mosques than the Middle East.
Aside from that, he is the best Politician in Western Canada.

Cross the floor and join the Commie NDP, Jason Kenney. Let an ACTUAL Conservative lead the party in Alberta. Nationalization of energy in a democratic, free market economy is a total violation of Conservative principles, the BNA Act, and the Canadian Constitution. Jason Kenney, do you have shit for brains? Unless you re-chart your political course and get back in line with CONSERVATIVE values, you will lose your support entirely. Albertans were counting on you to end this Marxist NDP hell. You are a serious disappointment.

re:immigration. I already have had enough of JUSTIN’S immigration, and I don’t want ANY more of it. Actually its been awhile now.

Gov’t should stay out of business, especially the energy business.

Regarding Ezra’s letter from John inquiring why no one does a ROV (Underwater video) of Victoria and Montreal’s sewage in the St. Lawrence?
The TV Stations and City Newspapers were close to being Politically Neutral 25 years ago. I will never forget a True CBC 5 minute documentary on Halifax Harbor where the City’s live (untreated) sewage was floating in the Harbor. They even described the smell. Their solution was to increase the pipe length by 100 meters. They even mentioned that Cruise Ships docked there.
The big story at that time was Victoria. California and MEXICO (of all places) officially complained that Victoria put their sewage straight into the Ocean. Some BC Government Scientists responded that there was no harm as the waters were so rough in that area that the sewage simply broke down and disappeared.
The lesson is Scientists will say anything for their employer, especially a Government. That’s why I don’t believe these Scientists and their Climate Change BS.

Gerry

ROV (remote operated vehicle) such as Drones

Thanks for the information on the the legislation proposed by Notley’s NDP. On one hand I think the only way for Horgan from BC to get the message is if his own people speak loud and clear (I understand the majority of BC residents are in favor of the pipeline). As all governments know the best way to influence people is to either hit them in the pocket book or pad it. The NDP/Liberals know this game all to well. However, your synopsis of the Alberta law that would give the government the right to dictate how a company could market it’s product scares the hell out of me. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

Ron, you beat me to it with your observation that this is like Cloward-Piven. This strategy works best in a capitalist society with a very generous welfare system…like ours.
commented 2018-04-17 22:44:03 -0400
The plan to overburden our health care system seems like a case of implementing the Cloward–Piven strategy. First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Cloward and Frances Piven, the Cloward-Piven Strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

The health system is already crumbling in my province. Half of the provincial budget and you have to wait a minimum of 10-12 hours at the emergency room before seeing a doctor. Do not forget that our immigration policy is now managed by Soros and the Muslim Brotherhood Immigration Minister. If Trudeau is re-elected in 2019, I will be walking south, crossing the HIV fake refugees coming in.

Why doesn’t Trudeau fix his own integrity issues first? And the rest of the lying politicians? And the msm?
The Star has been putting opinion on the front page as if it’s news for years and defends the practice!

Immigration. Our gov has a Duty of Care to it’s citizens, not to citizens of other countries, and it’s a misappropriation of funds to burden them with unnecessary costs.

Notely / Trudeau’s approach to solving Kinder Morgan is easily understood. Communists always make communist decisions. It’s how they think. Just like Wynn chose to be the sole owner of Pot stores in Ontario, it’s how communists think. Communists think the Gov should own all businesses, as they do in China. Communists think in terms of wage and price controls. In short, they’re super control freaks.

In all my years I’ve never seen a party make such a mess of everything!!

Mike Lavigne said, “Use MEWE and GAB – Facebook sucks”

Bitchute.com is a YouTube competitor. One of my favorite “tell it like it is” pundits, Pat Condell, has moved to that platform.

And yup, Facebook does indeed suck.

Regarding catastrophic health care for the world’s sickest people, Trudeau wants to crash the system. Then he can ride in on his white horse and rescue us poor peons from the mess through marshall law. Marxists want to crash capitalism so they can take over. Trudeau admires China and he wants to topple our free system of government in favour of dictatorship. And those rich Marxists don’t care because they can afford to pay for their health care needs.

I hope Canadians are not foolish enough to re-elect Trudeau and the Liberals in 2019. I would hate to see Canada after another 4 years of this nonsense.
