Andrew Scheer, the Conservative MP who got just 22 per cent of the party’s vote in the first round of its leadership race last year, is campaigning on global warming.
As in: he’s worried about it, and he has a plan to solve it. He’s not doing what other conservatives are doing: ignoring it, campaigning against it and mocking it, or just railing against global warming’s main scheme, the carbon tax.
Nope: Sheer told Evan Solomon on CTV that Canada needs reduce carbon dioxide emissions to meet the UN’s global warming requirements. (The UN also demands that Canada pay in to a $100 billion slush fund for every lobbyist and corrupt bureaucrat and politician around the world.
It wasn’t a gaffe or a case of mis-speaking or mis-understanding. He's endorsed the UN’s global warming scheme before. He didn’t do so before his leadership campaign, though. Do you think that Conservative Party members across Canada would have voted for him?
But one of Scheer’s first acts as leader was to force every Conservative MP (including those in the oil patch) to vote along with a Liberal motion to support the UN.
What irks me the most is how Andrew Scheer is so clearly terrified of every journalist he meets. Remember when Wendy Melsey and Paul Wells asked Andrew Scheer to denounce us here at the Rebel? He wants to please, avoid conflict, get along, to be one of the cool kids.
It won't work.
The Media Party hates him because he is the leader of the Conservatives, who wants to dethrone Trudeau.
But what’s so unfathomably stupid about it all is that it’s all so unnecessary.
Canadians are furious at Trudeau right now. There are a dozen real, hot issues to talk about — issues that conservative people care about.
Instead, he’s reading from a tired old script that Gerald Butts and his media echo chamber have handed him.
He’s going to lose, people...
NEXT: Sheila Gunn Reid, the Rebel's Alberta Bureau Chief, joins me to talk more about Scheer's embrace of UN global warming talking points.
THEN: Allum Bokhari, Breitbart's Senior Technology Correspondent, comes on to explain a new report on how Google manipulated of search results, to swing votes.
FINALLY: Your messages to me!
I am also disppointed in Scheer, because I would like the Conservative leader to attempt not only to win elections, but also to change the culture, for example to challenge AGW assumptions and point out its numerous failed predictions, and the fact that its many failed predictions invalidate it as valid science. I think Scheer doesn’t have the cahones to do that, or else he isn’t aware of the scientific fraud of AGW. Either way, we need the truth put out and the culture changed in order to move Canada from leftard delusion to conservative reality-based politics, and Scheer clearly isn’t the leader for that. but then, neither was Harper. Scheer is in fact following the Harper playbook: make nice with the MSM, don’t challenge their delusions, and hope they won’t get angry enough to come against you full force. Well, I think it could work electorally, and if so, we will at least get rid of Socks Clown and his traitor regime. But unless we overthrow the leftard delusions in the minds of Canadians, it won’t last. We will just have another Harper-style government that will tinker around the edges and never take any real action (i.e. on immigration, abortion, etc.) to move Canada away from demographic and cultural catastrophe and back into Western Judeo-Christian civilization. The slide downhill into catastrophe may be slowed, but it won’t be stopped unless that happens. So I wish that a social conservative with some understanding of that had won the leadership. That’s why I voted for Lemiuex first (social conservative and veteran), and Trost second (social conservative). Unfortunately, we are where we are, and we have to get Socks Clown and his traitor regime out of office asap, or it’s game over for this country as a civilized nation. So, as the saying goes, half-full is better than nothing. If Scheer is still leader come election time, we have no alternative but to try to make him the next PM. That will at least give Canadian patriots time to work on alerting Canadians to the grave danger this country faces and possibly to save Canada.
I get it. I’m even preaching it now. Here’s how I see it : If they want to have a rational conversation on-topic, I’ll engage, because that’s part of what I am here to do, i.e. debate ideas. When they try to divert the conversation to off-topic nonsense, to insults or to mega-profanity, I’ll respond in kind, call them on it and hang up.

It can be compared to some Politicians from different Parties having a serious discussion on Immigration, then Elizabeth May joins the discussion and talks about nothing except Climate Change. We all end up spinning our tires and get no where.
What do you think about Scheer?
Lol
The Trolltard is back under the moniker of ‘Jack White’ (formerly ‘John Wick’) and having a bit of fun with you. The Trolltard, as we all know, is an effing moron who delights in leading the Rebel comments off-topic, which he is doing with you now. I suggest you take your own advice to me and stop feeding this particular Trolltard.
They will shut the Border though. I can’t wait for Trudeau supporters to lose half their pensions, as hard times or a Recession is a quick way to get the Idiot out of office.
On my way home tonight, I saw my first 2019 Election Bumper Sticker. It said, "LETS MAKE TRUDEAU A DRAMA TEACHER AGAIN’
With Politicians’, one should learn to never hold their breath in waiting!
I didn’t say “under any President”, dimwit. I said under a leftard President like Obama or Hillary. Obama, for example, would happily help the Shariization of Canada, since he was doing just that when he was President, not to mention his traitorous efforts at doing the same to the U.S. and Europe.
You don’t even have the brain wattage to get out from under your denial of the gathering storm. You’re like a Jew in denial in 1930’s Germany, lashing out at other Jews who were trying to wake up the ones in denial before it was too late. Unfortunately, too many didn’t listen to the aware ones and we know what happened to them. If only they had come out of denial while there was still time, and if only your ilk would come out of denial now. But more likely you won’t and when the sh!t hits the fan big time, just remember this conversation, leftard.
When another Obama or Hillary or other demented leftard fool is elected President, they not only won’t intervene to save Canada, they will actively work to Shariize Canada, just as Obama was doing to the U.S. and Canada and Europe when he was President. How have you managed to miss the perversity of the U.S. left?
How does your brain generate enough power to even wake up in the morning?
Besides being delusional Wacktard also has a math problem.
I am extremely discouraged that there is no federal conservative party left in Canada to vote for.

Johnny, there is. The Christian Heritage Party. They actually use the “M” word.

They see what Drive-By-Johnny refuses to see.
By some definitions, Scheer is a Millennial himself. There’s a pretty good chance that he actually takes a direct interest in environmental stewardship, which includes not recklessly dumping industrial byproducts into the atmosphere without knowing what the long term consequences of that may be.
“Robert Mcclelland commented 4 hours ago
If Doug Ford wins in Ontario, it will finally put to rest the myth that a true conservative is unelectable”
How is Doug Ford a “true conservative”? He’s ideologically inconsistent at best.
“All the candidates pledged their opposition to a carbon tax during the campaign. Asked whether he believes human activity is causing climate change, Ford said: “Absolutely, to a certain degree. I’m not a denier.”
While he opposes what he calls an “unfair tax” because it would put businesses at a disadvantage against competitors from markets without one, Ford could not offer an alternative that would encourage the offsetting of carbon emissions.
“We’ll sit down with our team and come up with a strong platform on that,” he said."
Which is to say, vague undefined waffling, identical to Scheer.

Ron, I agree that climate change is partly a diversion. Immigration is the real threat.
