After Infowars purge, list of next targets includes two former Rebels — which means us, too

Rebel Staff

Alex Jones and Infowars. You can love them or hate them. They’ve published more than 10,000 videos. And YouTube just deleted them all. Jones and his company were also kicked off Facebook and other giant social media platforms, all on the same day.

Why all of Jones' videos? Not all of them were controversial, let alone possibly breaking some rule or law.

Because Alex Jones is sometimes rude or wrong? We all are sometimes.

Because he promotes conspiracy theories? You mean like... Hillary Clinton's lie about Benghazi?

We still haven't been told the exact reason.

Plus, when we prosecute someone in court, we are suing them for an action they did. It’s not the very human being himself we oppose. Even after a public trial, with charges and testimony and a sentence — we don’t just make someone disappear. But that's in effect what happened to Alex Jones.

Even Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, expressed these same concerns yesterday, as I'll show you tonight.

But the purge of conservatives isn't over. The left-liberal website Vox is pretty mainstream — it’s actually partly owned by NBC, which poured $200 million into it. Tens of millions more from venture capitalists. Here's what they wrote today:

"It's not just Alex Jones: YouTube's most extreme creators are pushing the platform into a tough debate and censorship and free speech on the internet."

And their handy list of people they think are “extreme” includes two Rebel alumni: Lauren Southern and Gavin McInnes, both of whom have moved on from us, but their Rebel work is listed as "extreme.

I can guarantee you that The Rebel Media itself is on a hit list, too — if our alumni and our friends are on one.

We’ll keep fighting. You know we will.

And if one day you simply stop seeing us — well, you know that it won’t be because we’ve decided not to fight.

It’s because, like Alex Jones, we’ve been de-personed...

NEXT: Manny Montenegrino, President of Think Sharp Inc., joins me to talk about Saudi Arabia picking a fight with Justin Trudeau and Canada.

THEN: Lorne Gunter, Senior Columnist at the Edmonton Sun, comes on to discuss the unsurprising fact that, since the government took over, the TransMountain pipeline is behind schedule and over budget.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

For the better good please do not feed the trolls by referring to them directly but if you must, please refer to them in a 3rd party context only.

Sonny Crockett so the hijab hoax was not disgusting then?

Most phone companies are also private businesses. Would Sonny be OK with them closing someone’s account for things they didn’t like the customer saying on their “private” phone system? Only if the person saying it is a conservative, I ’d guess.

Allan Peterson,

I am fine with it, because Jones has said absolutely disgusting things and makes up things most of the time, because that’s his bread and butter. Crazy conspiracy theories.
Why would Sonny be “fine with it”? I guess it is because he is also a hypocrite. Alex Jones ain’t the only one who says disgusting things- like the journalist with the NY Times. She is not punted but Sonny is apparently OK with left wing hatred.

Instead of retyping much of what I have already said on this topic.

Let me introduce you to a fantastic summation of what all of us have been pointing out since Big Tech conspired to remove Alex Jones aka Bill Hicks from social media.

It is not a stretch at all.

Do you acknowledge that NO ONE has a right to be on Facebook or YouTube. That as a private business, they can let whomever they want in their house or not allow certain people in their house that don’t meet their standards?
True. But those rules do not apply consistently. That is the issue. Some animals are more equal than others.
This is known as hypocrisy.

If Trudeau had any berries, he would close all mosques in Canada built with Saudi money, receive funding of any kind from the kingdom, and, send Wahhabi Imams back to SA.
Ditto for our “Conservatives”. More progressive than conservative, that’s for sure.

Now Andrew, you know as well as I do, treason and sedition are serious offenses.

There’s no basis for legal action.

I love how all the evidence of how people are rallying around Alex Jones are simply quotes from Alex Jones himself. I saw one yesterday linking to Infowars itself, more or less, Alex Jones, quoted on Alex Jones’ website, saying Alex Jones is pretty great. heh.

No, Infowars is not #1 on either app store. It’s #3 in “news” on Apple, and #301 in “entertainment” on Google’s. Google publishes statistics – 12,500 have subscribed, vs (let’s say) just under 300,000 for Grindr, a gay hookup app.

I never trusted O’Toole. I tell ya, with a conservative party like this one ……..

Hey Sonny, the families are suing Alex Jones. He is fighting back, because what he actually said has been misrepresented ."

Oh, and what was the intended interpretation of his comments? That one;s a bit brazen for the standard “plausible deniability” defense so favoured among the alternaive media.

“The horrible Omnibus Bill President Trump signed earlier this year will have many in the deep state very worried by this particular line item: funding military tribunals. "

Interesting comment, first for the not so subtle criticism of Trump, but moreso of the implications that people are scared of military tribunals. There are some pretty interesting consequences to using the military to terrorize your population, which seems to be the intended goal of such a policy.

Defamation suits are won each day, the parents suing Alex Jones have sought a remedy with the court.
I wish them success. If the verdict of the court is he is guilty, I hope the judge awards the families generously & orders him to do a show focusing on the evidence which the conviction was based on; additionally, he is to publicly apologize for what he said.

The comparison of Big Tech to someone’s home is a huge stretch and Sonny, your arms must have come out of their sockets.

Any chance this coordinated effort by Big Tech to deplatform Alex Jones is one big distraction?
Big news coming re: FISA warrant and subsequent renewals…20 pages will be declassified and the various departments of the Obama Administration, DNC, HRC and the former President will be exposed. Add to that, Julian Assange has been asked to testify, behind closed doors.
Seems to me corrupt players and bad actors are in panic mode and want to shift the focus away from these major events.

- Well, lets see. Prime Minister Groper’s brother Alexander Trudeau made propaganda videos for Iran. Trudeau wants closer ties with Iran. Iran & the Saudis hate each other. I’m thinking this has been coming for a while & has been triggered by our incompetent, corrupt Liberal government. Interesting how the various middle eastern countries Trudeau has been pouring taxpayer money into sided with the Saudis.

- The Liberals don’t care about how much taxpayer money they throw away. They have stupid little games to play & are busy pretending they’re fooling everyone.

Ron, don’t be snowflakes because I refuted the look video. The guy doesn’t understand law like I do.

Who cares what a “useful idiot” has to say spewing out his leftist batshit nonsense.

A clever comment someone made on Facebook re Saudi Arabia’s fight with Canada: “Trudeau continues to stir the shit with his virtue-signalling, SJW rhetoric, and now it is time for him to lick the spoon! Bon appetit!”
I understand that the guy and his sister that Freeland has felt obliged to step in to defend because they are feminists, are not even citizens of Canada!
commented 2018-08-09 11:58:00 -0400
Ron, I watched the video and he is wrong on so many levels. Leftwinger HAVE been banned from social media platforms. On Twitter, Canadian Cynic called See. Denise Batters a “twatwaffle” and was banned. Even Rebel Media targets those on the left and bans them.

But in all these cases, nobody has lost any rights. You cannot sue for loss of privilege unless a discriminatory law has been broken and since those on left have been banned then there is no case.

Liza, yes I agree, the use of Omnibus Bills should be outlawed. Lawmakers often don’t know exactly what they are voting yea or nay for; and, it opens the door to sneak in unconstitutional measures.

The horrible Omnibus Bill President Trump signed earlier this year will have many in the deep state very worried by this particular line item: funding military tribunals.

During his breaking rules and conditions and being banned, Alex Jones has not lost a single right. If Gavin McAnus and Lauren Southern are banned, they too will have not lost a single right.

Years ago friends sent me links to some of Alex Jones conspiracy theory videos . I watched a few ,got a laugh out of them and then advised my friends not to forward any more links because the guy was a kook.
Don’t we all belong to a censorship board with me ,myself and I as members?
I don’t need some punks at Facebook to tell me what’s good and bad for me.
Alex Jones is the first and admittedly the worst but he is just the beginning .The censorship will widen in scope to capture even the most sublime aspects of conservatism and libertarianism .
