Trump tried to phone Trudeau on Monday — but Trudeau refused to take the call.

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On Monday, Donald Trump revealed that he had negotiated a very detailed bilateral trade agreement with Mexico. "Bilateral" just means two sides — the U.S. and Mexico. As in: Canada’s not part of it.

Well, Trump wanted to talk to Trudeau about it. And Trudeau refused to take the call.

Of course, I only learned about that from the foreign press — our own CBC would never report something so embarrassing, or so revealing, about our dear leader.

Trudeau’s official schedule from Monday is just marked: "Private Time." (Of course, he’s had more than 20 vacation days so far in 2018, on top of regular weekends and statutory holidays.)

And this morning, "diplomat of the year" Chrystia Freeland was invited for a meeting with the U.S. Trade Representative. And Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and the consummate Trump "fixer," was there too.

And here’s how that went:

Jared Kushner just walked in for the meeting with Canada. The Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs is not here. She is late. #NAFTA

She flew in yesterday. Did she get lost? Did she hit the snooze button?

Was this not the most important meeting in her life? And for the lives of 160,000 people working in Ontario's auto industry?

No notice, no warning, no courtesy, no diplomacy, no explanation. We’re just not showing up.

Do you think Donald Trump means it when he says he wants to put on tariffs on our auto industry?

I do. I think Trump wants a trade war, to relocate those factories to the U.S.

The crazy thing is, Trudeau is behaving like he wants a trade war, too.

Justin Trudeau already killed of Canada’ oil and gas and pipeline industry, with the help of Rachel Notley. Now he’s going for Ontario’s auto industry.

Unless something changes in the next 48 hours, I think we’re heading into a deep recession in this country, courtesy of our diplomat of the year, and her man-child boss.

NEXT: Broadcaster Michael Knowles talks about the Catholic Church scandal, and "what the Pope knew."

THEN: Regular guest T. Lee Humphrey is seeking the CPC nomination for the riding of Calgary Centre. He comes on to talk about a story Sheila Gunn Reid reported yesterday, of the cop killer whose PTSD (which he got after shooting the police officer!) is being treated thanks to funding from Veterans' Affairs.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

As Manny Montenegrino told Ezra the other night, Trump is counting on Trudeau not yielding on supply management so that he can bring in tariffs on Canada’s auto industry. Trudeau on the other hand is betting that a Hate Trump vote, whipped up by the media party, will be his pathway to re-election. And Scheer is helping to whip up such anti-Trump sentiment with tweets like, “At this critical time in the NAFTA negotiations, it has become clear that Mexico and the U.S. have come to major agreements while Canada was not even at the table. It is unacceptable that Canada has been presented with a take-it or leave-it deal on major aspects of this deal.”

Yup Trudeau and Notley killed Alberta’s oil and gas industry and the a bunch of corrupt judges just buried it. The same corrupt judges that killed the northern gateway.

Nuttall said, “You also have to remember that I was elected by 86 votes and the reality is without having the Conservative brand there, I would not have been elected." What do you think Nuttall’s chances are of being re-elected should Bernier run a candidate in his riding? Nuttall and other conservative MPs should have done more to push Scheer to bring Bernier into the fold.
commented 2018-08-30 10:59:56 -0400
From Robert’s link.
“Bernier’s closest caucus ally says he has no plans to join the renegade Quebec MP’s new party. Conservative MP Alex Nuttall played a key role in Bernier’s unsuccessful Conservative leadership campaign last year that saw him lose by the narrowest of margins to Andrew Scheer. …. “I would have to go and speak to my electorate about it and that’s not something I’m going to do,” Nuttall said… “You also have to remember that I was elected by 86 votes and the reality is without having the Conservative brand there, I would not have been elected. "

Nice excuse, plausible even but … read between the lines … why would a “close[st] ally” suddenly become a tailcoat to the person he greatly supported before (played a key role)? Loyalty to the party? Something doesn’t pass the smell test.

Recall the article posted in another article:
https://nationalpost.com/opinion/np-view-andrew-scheers-conservatives-are-as-fake-on-free-trade-as-trudeau
“… The few thousand dairy and poultry farmers who signed up as instant Conservatives during the party’s last leadership race to give leader Andrew Scheer his razor-thin margin of victory over a vocal opponent of supply management, Maxime Bernier, must consider their one-time membership fees the best investment they ever made. Scheer has ensured that there is no Canadian federal party that will stand up for genuine free trade, or even for consumers. Trump would seem to be the only one demanding a better deal for Canadian families.”

Allan, Daryl Herman proves my point. Plenty of Trudeau Derangement Syndrome here at the Rebel.

Actually , it doesn’t prove your point. Dare is not hysterical, he is not yelling and crying and shouting. Again, dislike and strong opinions are not derangement.

Who would you rather have working on this deal Cryin’ Chrys or Mackay?

Doesn’t much matter to me Amy. You obviously want to stay in the dark.

I’m calling BS on this until somebody provides a link.

Sorry Amy, if you are going troll, pay for the privilege!
Ezra did provide Tweet with source (2) during his monologue.

I’m sure you can understand why I won’t do you any favours.

There’s a paywall on this. Did he tweet the source. If so can you find since I’m blocked.

Amy Lynn, actually, I do mind. Listen to Ezra’s monologue, pause on Tweet provided and go from there.

Tammie, do you mind providing the specific news link for me?
commented 2018-08-30 06:37:23 -0400
Amy, obviously you only read the description of the report. Ezra did cite his source during his monologue and showed the Twitter message.
You are really bad at this Amy!

So far, not one poster is able to confirm this story as true. Need just one source, folks. You can do it! In the meantime, shame on Ezra.

To have derangement syndrome one must have no rational reason for detesting a politician. On one hand, Trump is a success story, on the other hand the Boy Blunder pretty much fails at everything it does.
Of course there is one very prevalent type of Junior Derangement Syndrome. It is suffered by the left stream media. These poor misguided soles actually think that Junior is a success story. Sad.

Too much of that high flying, all expense paid, spare no extravagance, taxpayer funded Liberal lifestyle I guess.

The way I see it, the problem with Cryin’ Chrys is that she is a frumpy granny in a sausage casing. Ewwwwww.

Nicholas, that is odd. I would seek professional help.

Amy… For Christ sake girl grow up… Take your glasses off have a look around and ask yourself some questions. A good question to start with is why is there so many homeless in our streets hungry and dirty while we are giving away millions of dollars to convicted murderers and terrorists as well as bringing literally tens of thousands of people from countries that hate us and are only here for the welfare benefits and perhaps we are getting sleeper cells as well.. have you noticed that the media focusses on families but primarily it’s military age males that are coming into the country. at well over 30,000 crashing into Canada every year. Our vetting policies could not handle those kind of numbers and guarantee we are not getting the dregs and the criminals and the diseased, uneducated past basic reading and writing in their own language and over 25 years old. as well as soldiers waiting for orders.

At 30,000 migrants a year that is almost 120 people a day to be processed and deemed safe through background checks and fingerprinting health checks and so on… That’s an impossible task, Just threw the sheer numbers alone our infrastructure cannot stand up to the weight of that and even if our taxes were to double overnight paying over 80% on our paycheques that still would not cover it and that’s just to process them let alone feed and house them forever … We can save a few but we can’t save the world. Don’t you get it.??
That’s the problem with idealism is it doesn’t blend with reality…

How many more “stupidities” does our Boy Blunder have to perform on the international stage before we accept the fact that we, in Canada, have “a sputtering, inarticulate teenager” purporting to be our Prime Minister???

Doreen Kranz – re:-“The question is will Donald Trump fall for Trudeau trying to set him up as the bad guy?”… It really, really does not matter what the Boy Blunder, or Buttskie, or Krystia With The Red Dress On try to do!… Donald Trump had our Boy Blunder figured out the FIRST TIME he met him and nothing has changed since!…. Our “high school debating club” team in Washington are scrambling re NAFTA likes rats on a static wired lab floor cage, and have about as much chance of swaying THE WORLD’S BIGGEST ECONOMY to their infantile demands as me asking my bank to “trust me” with a loan to buy lottery tickets…

Most comes from Ezra since he made this up. He can’t even link a specific source for this fake story since Trudeau called Trump Monday.
