Trump tried to phone Trudeau on Monday — but Trudeau refused to take the call.

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On Monday, Donald Trump revealed that he had negotiated a very detailed bilateral trade agreement with Mexico. "Bilateral" just means two sides — the U.S. and Mexico. As in: Canada’s not part of it.

Well, Trump wanted to talk to Trudeau about it. And Trudeau refused to take the call.

Of course, I only learned about that from the foreign press — our own CBC would never report something so embarrassing, or so revealing, about our dear leader.

Trudeau’s official schedule from Monday is just marked: "Private Time." (Of course, he’s had more than 20 vacation days so far in 2018, on top of regular weekends and statutory holidays.)

And this morning, "diplomat of the year" Chrystia Freeland was invited for a meeting with the U.S. Trade Representative. And Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and the consummate Trump "fixer," was there too.

And here’s how that went:

Jared Kushner just walked in for the meeting with Canada. The Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs is not here. She is late. #NAFTA

She flew in yesterday. Did she get lost? Did she hit the snooze button?

Was this not the most important meeting in her life? And for the lives of 160,000 people working in Ontario's auto industry?

No notice, no warning, no courtesy, no diplomacy, no explanation. We’re just not showing up.

Do you think Donald Trump means it when he says he wants to put on tariffs on our auto industry?

I do. I think Trump wants a trade war, to relocate those factories to the U.S.

The crazy thing is, Trudeau is behaving like he wants a trade war, too.

Justin Trudeau already killed of Canada’ oil and gas and pipeline industry, with the help of Rachel Notley. Now he’s going for Ontario’s auto industry.

Unless something changes in the next 48 hours, I think we’re heading into a deep recession in this country, courtesy of our diplomat of the year, and her man-child boss.

NEXT: Broadcaster Michael Knowles talks about the Catholic Church scandal, and "what the Pope knew."

THEN: Regular guest T. Lee Humphrey is seeking the CPC nomination for the riding of Calgary Centre. He comes on to talk about a story Sheila Gunn Reid reported yesterday, of the cop killer whose PTSD (which he got after shooting the police officer!) is being treated thanks to funding from Veterans' Affairs.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Why would any country want their PM or President to kiss Trump’s butt? To be honest, I am actually surprised that Trudeau has some balls here.

A deep recession here in Canada will show most Canadians how stupid (….)
We’d better get used to a weak dollar and high unemployment if that happens.
Bruce, I wish that this was all we we are going to have to get used to.

“The Donald” should publicly make an announcement apologizing to Canadians for what he is forced to do as a result of their incompetent prime ministers inability to effectually negotiate which will cause extreme economic and financial hardship on the citizens of Canada.!!

I think that might be the only way to expose trudeau and his true agenda, plus all politicians that share his path…Then it’s up to a leader that will stand up for Canadians to dethrone the trudeau crew. We need a firm and decisive voice to spread across Canada.

I really think some of you are overacting.

It’s like…like…he’s just not ready or something. I’d wager that Trump ones a can o’ whup ass on him.

Whatever Trudeau dose or says, it will not be for the good of Canada or Canadians. In times of war he would be shot as a traitor but as in the present time, ‘Business goes on as Usual’.
Are we to sit back in complacence, while Canada dies?

I hear and understand all the handwringing and kvetchng over Andrew Scheer. About how wishy-washy he seems. About how he won’t take a real stand on anything. About how he’s “Trudeau-lite.” About how the Conservatives are “Liberal-lites” as long as he leads he party. Indeed, to me he seems like the Stephanie Dion of the Conservative Party. A chair-warmer. A place-holder. The interim leader who took over from the last interim leader, Rona Ambrose.

None of this is here nor there.

What Canadian voters need to understand is this. If the Liberals are re-elected next year, we are guaranteed another four years of the Gerald Butts Basic Dictatorship, under which no MP, no cabinet minister, and not even the prime minister have any say in anything. Another four years of Canada being under the absolute control of an unelected and unelectable globalist sock puppet who takes his marching orders directly from the Soros compound on Long Island.

Alternatively, we can vote out the Liberals and say goodbye to Gerald Butts forever.

I don’t know about anybody else, but personally it’s going to be the easiest voting choice of my life.

Ron… I totally understand the comparison you’re making.. both the liberal and the CPC parties think they are vibrant healthy and alive but in really they’re empty husk’s that are ready to turn to dust .

Trudeau and his Cabinet are the worst government in Canadian history. Their mutual incompetence is legendary. Holding on to the archaic and biased cartel system which is anti-consumer and anti-free enterprise will destroy Canada’s economy. It needs to go.

As a Christian and a former Catholic, the Catholic church failed when it taught ritualistic tradition and not the Gospel. Go check out a Catholic Mass. You hear a reading from the Old Testament and from the New and then the priest will preach a sermon based on whatever is on his mind and not necessarily and even rarely the Gospel. And those Christians in the pews are wondering when the church is going to answer their questions which they never do, discover to their horror it has been pedophiles teaching them morality and then their congregations collapse while the leadership turns a blind eye.
The Catholic church is similar to the churches of Ephesus and Sardis mentioned in Revelation 1 & 3; a church which actually thinks it’s alive but is long dead and has become corrupt and has fallen because Christ has removed its candlestick. The fastest growing Christian churches in the world are independent churches that teach the Gospel.

No leader has ever refused a call from the US President. It would have only been a short chat to say the negotiations will start and lets get this done. And then Freeland late for a meeting with the top negotiator after being locked out for 5 months?Their arrogance will be a detriment to this country

I miss Mr. Harper, I don’t think we would be in this situation with NAFTA if Mr Harper were still here

- It’s like living in a country run by a bunch of very stupid teenagers who are arrogant enough to believe that the short bus they ride to school means they’re royalty. The deal will end up being a “take it or leave it” deal at this point. Trudeau has botched everything else he’s touched at this point. The next election won’t be about “Trudeau vs Trump”, it’ll be about “do you want to eat or not?”

- I’m convinced that Pope Benedict was maneuvered out of place to make way for globalist friendly Pope Francis. Pope John Paul II was instrumental in bringing down the Soviet Union. The globalists wanted to undermine all resistance to their policies. It was in their interest to undermine the largest Christian group.

- The Liberals have no money for veterans who put their lives on the line. They have money for convicted terrorists, every tin pot dictatorship in the world & now a convicted murder. Reminds me of the example of the guy who kills both of his parents & then wants mercy from the court because he’s a orphan.

If Trudeau screws it up with Trump then it will be his fault. I will not snap into lock step with Trudeau out of a sense of patriotism for I loathe him far too much to want to breathe the same air. If Trudeau fails, then I want him to fail so badly that even the most thick headed and sleepy Canadian will notice. I want Canadians to see what a loser they elected under a cold hard light like a specimen in a laboratory dish…

I’ve been saying a recession is coming, fo the last six months. I already believe we are at the top of the downward slide as we speak. Trade war, high fuel prices, astronomical housing prices, yet no major localized demand (mostly foreign).

Very interesting interview with Michael Knowles. Refusing to answer is unacceptable, the Pope owes humanity transparency and a plan to deal with all this openly & honestly.

I always enjoy hearing from Lee Humphrey. I hope he’s right about Seamus O’Regan being confronted at the Veteran’s Town Hall meeting. It wouldn’t hurt for anyone else who is angered by the decision to divert funds from Veteran’s Affairs to a convicted murderer to send an e-mail

A deep recession here in Canada will show most Canadians how stupid our fopdoodle prime minister is. People care about their jobs and personal wealth, not necessarily about policy. In the event that Trudeau doesn’t blink, Trump will hurt Canada badly. We’d better get used to a weak dollar and high unemployment if that happens.

Well, well, well Konrad Yakabuski, of the Mop and Pail writes “to say that Trudeau has been out negotiated at this point would be an understatement”. OMG that leftist propaganda outlet, whose normal content is smug Liberal elitism, has finally awakened to the complete and utter train wreck that is Team Boy Blunder’s bad faith negotiations with the Trump administration, talk about shock and awe.

Everytime I see Freeland on TV, it looks as she needs another hit of meth. She’s always twitching and moving around like you see street walkers do.

Isn’t Monday generally a detox day for the PM? ….Too busy taking care of the sweats and the trots.
Gender quota ideology predictably backfired on the feminist groper, Freeland is incompetent and smug…her team is ineffectual and lack real world experience.
Her condescending message to Mexico was delivered in her slowwwwww irritating cadence.
How is it Freeland went from looking like a frumpy Granny to wearing unprofessional dresses that fit like a sausage casing?!!

Trudy has until Friday to sign on the doted line. After that Trump will take out Ontario’s auto industry, for starters.

Bill Blair never met a law he did not like. He had no problems cranking down on civil rights during the G7 in Toronto – at least with respect to women, the elderly and the unarmed. With Antifa types, not so much. He was part of police organizations that lobbied for mandatory fingerprinting. Yah,…I wonder how this will turn out?
