These four stories prove it: Canadian journalism is worse than ever

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Yesterday we had Dr. Tim Ball on the show. He’s a PhD in climatology and a tenacious critic of the theory of man-made global warming.

Dr. Ball was skeptical of another professor, Dr. Andrew Weaver, who studies global warming, too, and is also the Green Party leader in British Columbia.

When Dr. Ball criticized Dr. Weaver seven years ago, Weaver sued. After a three week trial — hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, and in costs to the taxpayer — the court dismissed the suit.

Tonight, I'll tell you more about this case, and what the judge said, but here's my question:

A climate activist politician suing a skeptical scientist, who wrote a column he didn’t like (that was almost immediately taken down, with an apology.) Where’s the outrage from the media?

Even today, as a mere handful of B.C. media cover Ball’s legal win, even those are full of derision not for Weaver, the thin-skinned bully.

Instead, they mock Dr. Ball.

I'll give you more examples, all from the last few weeks, of this kind of Media Party "journalism," as well as troubling statements by the Trudeau government, and by "free speech" associations like PEN Canada.

The Rebel is the last independent media company in Canada that’s not lined up at the trough.

Did you know that tomorrow, February 16, is The Rebel's third anniversary?

They’re trying to kill us, as you can see.

But I want to be your voice, a voice for the silenced people and the forgotten people.

If you want us to keep bringing you "the other side of the story," please consider chipping in three bucks, or thirty (or even three hundred if you feel like it) at ThreeYearsOld.ca.

Thank you!

TONIGHT'S GUESTS: America's leading authority on gun crime and firearms policy, Dr. John Lott, joins me to talk about the school shooting in Florida; then UN expert Claudia Rosett and I discuss North Korea and the Olympics.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Andrew, you have withdrawn your comparison because you purported a ridiculous theory, call it semantics if you like….Al clearly pointed out the flaws in your theory. You rigorously defended it until you couldn’t.
Then, on other threads you accuse others of posting without merit. I think it’s incredibly ironic you don’t recognize this in yourself, again, goes back not having the ability to gain personal insight or discernment.
Often, the “facts” you bring to any given thread are countered effectively when the whole picture is taken into consideration and you are reminded the leftist lens you use is cloudy.

You don’t like people identifying you as a troll, so maybe ask yourself if there is any truth to this label. There are some great articles which outline the characteristics of a troll, the psychology behind why they do what they do. What is your reason Andrew?

PC language in itself is offensive, ask yourself why some people insist on it, why there is push to support such language, and, why the PC language is forever changing. It’s dishonest and deceptive speech.

Again Andrew, why should you corner the market on “back handed insults”?

I’ll defer to the judge on this one. He’s the one who has actually seen the evidence, and knows the intent behind his own comments. Neither Drew nor myself can say that, and of the potential third parties, the judge is the only one that doesn’t have a financial interest in a certain outcome and is most able to provide an impartial analysis.

I stand by my assessment, however have to stop using it because conservatives become fixated on semantics – one that provides a convenient deflection whenever the actual questions get asked. Who owns a woman’s body, I ask. The response: (triggered sobbing about non-PC terminology that in no way answers it). Such is the conservative way.

My other favourite, incidentally, is when I am accused of being a “troll” for daring bring facts into the debate. Of course, when asked to refute me with supporting evidence, the response is: ((triggered sobbing about non-PC terminology used in a completely different argument). Oh, wait, like you just did! LOL.

EZRA—-A new strategy for The Rebel receiving Government money.
Apply, we know that there is not a hope in hell that Trudeau would give you a nickel. (You should never have repeated what that magazine said about Trudeau’s mother.)
When they don’t give you money like they give the other media, sue them!

Hey Andrew…

What do you have to say about this?….

Look at this picture you liberal globalist goofballs..

While the fake #feminists in West celebrate the oppressive #Hijabday, this happens to #IranianWomen when they remove their forced #hijab on the streets.
She was arrested in Shiraz & was brutally beaten & tortured by Islamic regime’s interrogators in Adel Abad prison, #Shiraz.

And why is that, because you agree with Ball? It’s possible for you to both be wrong, isn’t it?

Andrew sorry if you hate science. And the judge knows nothing of climate. "

Do we actually know that? I’d like to see the evidence you used to make that conclusion. Do we even know that that’s what the judge’s comments about badly written and factually inaccurate content refers to? Some things are easily refutable, even without extensive background – I’ve seen Ball’s arguments, and they’re often pretty superficial, often taken from papers that directly contradict his own claims on the findings. That he had to resort to character assassination tells us his primary argument doesnt’ stand on its own.

Your last sentence is particularly ironic given your own posting history, which is itself notably thin on merit-based arguments.

This from the guy who tries to equate unborn babies with parasites. Lots of merit there all right. "

Oh, look, a backhand insult that doesn’t address anything that was actually said. It fascinates me as to how your fixation on that one term allows you to completely evade the hard questions, like who owns a woman’s body? I don’t recall you ever answering that one. Oh well, more triggered babbling is inevitable, I am sure.

What does the NDP have to say about Trudeau buying off the rest of the Media? They can’t continually agree with the Liberals or they will go the way of the dinosaur.
Its a waste of time asking what Andrew Scheer thinks?

- Any news organization that takes money from the government is not to be trusted. It’s said that people living under communist dictatorships had it better than people in the West in that they knew their news organizations were lying to them. Dictators need to take control of the media for 2 reasons. First, they need to silence opposition. Second, they need to maintain the illusion that the majority of people back them.

- Disarming law abiding citizens does not make them safer. France has strict gun control laws, Paris is a gun free zone – it didn’t stop 150 people from being butchered in that night club a few years ago. What if this shooter couldn’t get a gun legally or illegally? So he uses an improvised bomb instead, or a car, or a truck. Maybe we need to have a #NotAllGunOwners movement now. Katie Hopkins wrote an excellent article on the leftist hypocrisy going on with this shooting.

- The mainstream media shows it’s true colors once again with their hero worship of the murdering North Korea dictators. To be fair, there have been a few journalists who have not gone along with this disgrace but most seem to look like they would fit in quite well with the rest of North Korea’s propaganda machine. It should be noted that there were plenty of journalists in the West who were pro-Nazi, pro-fascist & pro-Communist before World War 2. (See Dinesh D’Souza’s “The Big Lie”) The left loves dictators. The more oppressive the dictatorship, the more they love it.
  • Happy Birthday Rebel. Here’s to many more.

“If news corporations accept taxpayer dollars then their employees are all government workers and they have no claim to being unbiased .”

True, that MUTTA. And then there’s the ethical side:

Neighbour: So what’s your oldest son doing these days?
Father: I’m ashamed to say it, he’s in Toronto begging and sucking for a living.
Neighbour: Darn, that’s too bad. Well don’t be too hard on yourself – it’s not your fault he’s a prostitute.
Father: Prostitute? Hell no, it’s worse than that – he’s a Canadian journalist!

What North Koreans hear everyday from Ri Chun- Hee (Pink Lady) is coming soon to Canadian cities everywhere. All dictatorships control the media.

The Weather Channel " has more credible news than the LEFTIST LAME STREAM Canadian news sources. The CBC is in The Clown Prince’s pocket so they lead the list of propaganda sources as far as I’m concerned.

I try to educate people every day on what news sources are the best for accuracy. The four you list are only a hand full of news sources not to frequent.

Putting the Justin-loving MSM on the taxpayer dole can only be described as corruption, not only of the government, but of the media as well. When they accept it, they have lost all moral authority, having sold their journalistic souls to the devil they are supposed to be keeping honest through their reporting. I guess that is one reason there is so little honesty in the current Liberal government. Is there no media organization left in Canada that isn’t utterly tainted and beholden to the Liberal machine?

Ezra, thanks again for starting therebel.media, the one media outlet that we can still trust to report the news without worrying that it has been tailored to ensure incoming taxpayer funds from the Liberals. And thanks for hanging in there in spite of all the crap thrown at you and therebel.media by the whores in the MSM. I’ll be sending in a birthday gift to help all of you folks at therebel.media to keep reporting the truth. Someone has to, and it sure isn’t the MSM, which are now just the taxpayer-paid propaganda arms of the corrupt Liberal government in Ottawa. Long live therebel.media, the outlet that doesn’t take taxpayers’ money and isn’t beholden to yet another corrupt Liberal government.

Climate Change is about Money, Power and Control. Not science, it’s all a HOAX.

Patrick Brown crying, now he knows what it was like when he did a 180 turn and betrayed us all and we cried.

That school shooting, the death toll could have been a lot less if someone (like a Teacher) had been carrying a gun. And the perpetrator. Why is he even alive? The police are IDIOTS, they gun down unarmed people that in some cases are not guilty of anything or just some minor offence. But when they have somebody before them that needs Killing they take them into custody unharmed. Same situation with the guy in the truck incident in New York.

The Olympics, I couldn’t care less, it’s corrupt, much of the competition is simply ludicrous, athletes from home compete against us to win medals for other countries. In some cases they are originally from there, some have been Hockey Players. I wouldn’t let them back into the country, I call them Traitors. Many of the Athletes are just Drug Enhanced Competitors, some get caught, many get away with abuse for years. Allow the North Koreans to participate and afterwards they will continue to threaten the world with their Nuclear ambitions.

When Animals like Kim Jong Un and his sister are raining nuclear missiles down on the west and wiping out humanity. I can’t wait to see how our Corrupt, Traitorous Media spins it into a story of triumph for the Left Wing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REBEL
