We had our big conference in Toronto on Saturday, called The Rebel Live. For those of you who were there, thanks for spending your day with us. For those of you who weren’t, let me show you a video of a surprise guest we had.
His name is Peter McIlvenna, and he's on the staff of Lord Pearson of Rannoch, a UKIP member of the House of Lords. Lord Pearson and Tommy Robinson had a lengthy on-camera conversation just a few weeks ago, and he has been outspoken in defending Tommy since his arrest.
I wasn’t expecting conference guests from as far away as the UK! TONIGHT I'll play you what Peter McIlvenna told us.
So that’s the news, but otherwise: There is no news.
Tommy Robinson is still in jail.
A 13 month prison term, just for reporting outside a court house.
But look who’s getting out of jail:
Anjem Choudary. An extremist who calls for the overthrow of democracy in the United Kingdom, to be replaced by sharia law. Says the queen should be forced to wear a hijab; says Westminster should be turned into a mosque.
Choudary was jailed for inciting support for ISIS and sentenced to five years. He’s been in prison for more than a year and a half, but will be released imminently.
He is only one of 193 terrorists convicted over the past 10 years, half of whom are about to be released back onto the streets of the UK.
According to British authorities, there are already 23,000 jihadis on the loose. That’s not even counting anyone who would just want to see burkas on every woman and sharia law on the streets, but wouldn’t kill for it. Here's one detail:
About 3,000 people from the total group are judged to pose a threat and are under investigation or active monitoring in 500 operations being run by police and intelligence services.
Can you imagine how many people it takes to track each suspected terrorist, around the clock? The answer is more than 20.
But look at where Sadiq Khan, the Muslim mayor of London, is putting his focus, and his budget, and his manpower:
On over 900 "specialist officers across London dedicated to investigating all hate crime."
That’s a lot of cops looking for mean tweets or un-funny Facebook posts deemed "Islamophobic." I'll show you how "Islamophobia" is defined by the London police guidelines. Did you know, for example, that it is illegal to "reject out of hand" "criticisms made of the West by Islam"? No wonder London alone apparently needs almost a thousand police officers to hunt down mean tweets about Islam.
But of course, it’s easier to throw you in jail, or even Tommy Robinson in jail, than to tackle 23,000 jihadis, isn’t it...?
NEXT: Marc Morano, president of Climate Depot, is my guest to talk about how Trump "has broken the spell of climate change mania" — the president pulled out of the Paris Accord, but CO2 emissions are still dropping.
FINALLY: Your messages to me!
