“The most shocking video I've seen in a long time”: Canada’s NAFTA negotiator hasn't talked to U.S. counterparts since G7

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

At first I was delighted to learn that Trudeau's team, including his foreign minister Chrystia Freeland, had brought in a professional negotiator named Steve Verheul as part of the NAFTA negotiation team.

But then I saw a shocking video, which I'll show you tonight:

While sitting next to Freeland on a panel, Verheul is asked a pretty obvious question:

How are negotiations going with the U.S.?

And he admits that there have been no active negotiations for weeks.

In other words: There hasn’t been any progress at all in getting a trade deal since Trudeau and Trump had their Twitter battle at the G7.

We’re falling off the rails. The train is derailing. Our biggest trading partner — who’s going to war against China, against the EU, against Mexico — we’re getting swept up in that.

We shouldn’t be. We pretty much have trade parity with the U.S. We’re not like China or Mexico. But Trudeau won’t give up his Quebec dairy farmer cartel, or a few other things that most Canadians don’t really care about.

(Oh, and Trudeau took his 16th “personal day” off work today. Like he did the day after the G7 itself.)

This is a crisis.

Don’t take it from me. Take it from every single Canadian bank, that’s panicking right now, like  Scotiabank, warning that the worst recession in a decade may be on its way.

And they aren't the only ones, as I'll show you tonight.

So how did the CBC treat this news? They giggled. I'm serious, and I'll show you that too.

But the 160,000 Ontarians who will lose their jobs — none of them will work for the CBC, will they...?

NEXT: Manny Montenegrino, President & CEO Think Sharp Inc., comes back on the show to talk more about this looming crisis.

THEN: Guess who is on the SPLC's "hate watch" list now? Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum. He joins me to talk about these accusations, and the left's insistence on calling people they don't agree with — and who know more about topics like Islam than they do — "bigots."

FINALLY: Your messages to me — and a note about what to expect from me and The Rebel as some of our team heads out on our mission to Israel tonight.

Greenwald and Snowden say that these agencies and their work-for-hire contractors are willing to sink to disgusting lows to control public view. They include two primary tactics:

“(1) to inject all sorts of false material onto the internet in order to destroy the reputation of its targets; and (2) to use social sciences and other techniques to manipulate online discourse and activism to generate outcomes it considers desirable. To see how extremist these programs are, just consider the tactics they boast of using to achieve those ends: “false flag operations” (posting material to the internet and falsely attributing it to someone else), fake victim blog posts (pretending to be a victim of the individual whose reputation they want to destroy), and posting “negative information” on various forums.”

This is the last time I am responding to you because paid trolls are not worth the effort “Jimmy” You claim to be debating and here to add to a conversation, proof that you are just spamming is on this thread, on all threads you post to, i.e.: “Canada is doomed Trudeau is Satan”, you are a spammer plain and simple. Spam away, that is what you are being paid to do, deny, deflect all you want, the proof is littered on dozens of articles on this site. Kindly refrain from addressing me in the future or I will flag you as harassing me.

Hyacinth,

I am responding to comments and posts. That is what a discussion board is for. You have already posted those links numerous times – they have been seen. This particular thread is pretty much dead now anyway. So maybe you should go spam all of the other threads with the same links that people have already seen.

Back peddle about what? First of all, I don’t think Justin is awesome and I do think he needs to do a much better job, but I still have a rational and reasonable response to him. I don’t react like you and think Canada is doomed. The hyperbole, fear mongering and overreaction from people like you is off the charts.

It is only a matter of time, it will be interesting to see you back peddle in the weeks to come Jimmy. Spam away, the more you do the more you prove the links to be spot on.

“The truth is surfacing and the left cannot keep it hidden”.

That is beautiful. Almost like a movie tagline.

I am quite sure that people can see your repeated posts/links that say the same thing over and over again to the point of spamming. Are you suggesting people don’t have the brain capacity to scroll through a thread?

You having the top post in a thread doesn’t make it any more valid.

The truth is surfacing and the left cannot keep it hidden as in the Trudeau Sr. days. The troll intends to continually flood this thread along and other threads on this site with nonsense in effort to bury pertinent postings.
Pertinent postings the troll is trying to get lost in the thread:

What became evident within the exchange is the Canadian government trying to hide the lack of NAFTA progress from concerned citizens inside Canada. In essence, the Canadian government is lying to their citizens about the possibility of a NAFTA agreement

Council Question: “Do you still meet your counterparts? Do you still have committees that are working? What is the status of the negotiations?

Steve Verheul: “We don’t have any active negotiations. I haven’t talked to them in a little while.”

Council Question: “Since, …since?”

Steve Verheul: “Two or three weeks. Um, I’ll have the odd conversation, but no real engagement, no real negotiation session.”

Council Question: “And when we hear that you were close to a kind of MOU [Memo of Understanding] what was the basis of that?”

Chrystia Freeland: awkward interruption in French.

Good.

Maybe conservatives can stop relying on liberal creative visionaries and start their own social media that takes over the world. Liberal private companies don’t owe a thing to conservatives, especially helping to push a conservative agenda.

“Media Matters and its partners will pressure Google and Facebook into banning right-leaning sites, which they refer to as “fake news sites and propagandists.” Conservative social media activism campaigns will be “punished and halted.” The group will develop new technologies to spot the early stages of articles they call “fake news,” which seems to mean articles they disagree with, and “quash” them.”

“Whoopsie – During a debriefing session between Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, Canadian politicians and business leaders, the chief NAFTA negotiator for Canada Steve Verheul accidentally told the group, while cameras were rolling, there were no actual NAFTA negotiations taking place. When a seemingly shocked participant then asked a follow-up question about how could Steve Verheul reconcile that admission against earlier statements about an upcoming Memo of Understanding (MOU), Ms. Freeland quickly shut down the discussion in french until the cameras left the meeting. … What became evident within the exchange is the Canadian government trying to hide the lack of NAFTA progress from concerned citizens inside Canada. In essence, the Canadian government is lying to their citizens about the possibility of a NAFTA agreement.”

Freeland prevented high ranking NAFTA negotiator from answering the second question posed to Verheul. It was a follow up question after Verheul confirmed there have been no active negotiations since the G7. Naturally, the reporter wanted the government to clarify their position that there is a MOU
(Memorandum of Understanding), “what’s that all about?” Freeland shut it down and CBC coverage of this was laughable. Nothing to see here folks….notice we don’t report accurately when the government is lying to Canadians.

“Have you ever come across someone on the Internet that you suspected was a paid government troll? Well, there is a very good chance that you were not imagining things. … in Canada, it has been publicly admitted that the government uses paid trolls to warp Internet discourse. The following comes from Natural News…
You’ve probably run into them before — those seemingly random antagonizers who always end up diverting the conversation in an online chat room or article comment section away from the issue at hand, and towards a much different agenda. Hot-button issues like illegal immigration, the two-party political system, the “war on terror” and even alternative medicine are among the most common targets of such attackers, known as internet “trolls” or “shills,” who in many cases are nothing more than paid lackeys hired by the federal government and other international organizations to sway and ultimately control public opinion.
Several years ago, Canada’s CTV News aired a short segment about how its own government had been exposed for hiring secret agents to monitor social media and track online conversations, as well as the activities of certain dissenting individuals. This report, which in obvious whitewashing language referred to such activities as the government simply “weighing in and correcting” allegedly false information posted online, basically admitted that the Canadian government had assumed the role of secret online police.”

Hyacinth,

I am glad you are bored. Hopefully that help with your lack of willpower to ignore me. Why not spend your time finding a man to keep yourself busy or do they call you a shrew in person as well?

Flagged.
