Doug Ford to lead Ontario Conservatives — Why that's important, no matter where you live

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

In seven weeks, the PC Party of Ontario has been transformed:

From supporting a carbon tax to railing against it. From supporting wind turbines to threatening to rip them out of the ground. From bending the knee and submitting to the mainstream media’s idea of what an acceptable conservative is — to bashing the media and ignoring them, Trump-style.

From Patrick Brown to Doug Ford.

I can’t believe it. And I’m so hopeful, for a bunch of reasons that I’ll tell you

It was a hectic leadership contest. Patrick Brown was the leader just seven weeks ago — and then a CTV attack on his alleged sexual misconduct — some allegations of which have been recanted; and Brown says he’s going to sue them — Brown was leader less than two months ago, with a boring, soft-left, Red Tory platform, including a carbon tax.

What’s the point in having a Conservative Party that is indistinguishable from the Liberal Party on all core ideas?

Sure, Kathleen Wynne is corrupt and has ruined the economy. But that was true before. Running another focus-grouped, artificial candidate against her, and her Big Labour war machine, doesn’t work.

Well, that’s gone now. And I think Doug Ford's got a real chance to be premier, too.

The media is hostile — of course, but I don’t think that works as well as it used to.

So are other groups. I'll show you an outrageous attack ad, published by... the Canadian Civil Liberties Association! An allegedly non-partisan charity, and they're campaigning against Ford.

But that’s a good sign — the degree with which Ford’s enemies hate him shows the degree to which they think he is a real force for change.

NEXT: Our own David Menzies comes on to talk about being barred from covering the leadership election on Saturday — and who was behind that decision!

THEN: Toronto Sun columnist Anthony Furey and I look to the future: Does Doug Ford really have a chance of beating Wynne in the upcoming election?

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Anyone on the left with any brains knows that Doug getting in is the beginning of the end for their ‘movement’ to destroy the country. There will be a resurgence of sanity and pride for the resource rich bountiful country we were all blessed to be born into or chose to be a part of. This resurgence will grow, gain momentum and spread across the provinces like a fresh breeze, sending all the globalist cultural Marxists running to the hills with their hair on fire. Much of our populace has been poisoned with this hyper socialist, eco nazi, globalist sickness and they will remain enemies of our, freedom, liberty and sanity. We have to stop our educational institutions from indoctrinating our children, and we have to foster some patriotism and love of country and people in its place. That is absolutely crucial to maintaining any effective change.

No, Tammie just wants her own views repeated back to her. Opposing view isn’t welcome here.

You seem to forget what a punch line Rob and Doug Ford were in Toronto. Doug Ford will now be the sequel if he beats Wynne.
commented 2018-03-13 12:46:48 -0400
Okay Bobby, maybe Peter and I agree. In fairness though, from what I’ve seen, Tammie loves an argument.

Bob/Vinny said in part, " even if he does beat Wynne, I will have much entertainment to look forward to with Doug Ford saying stupid shit, fucking up over the easiest of things, comedy shows making fun of him as the jokes will write themselves and the media tearing him apart."

You have allowed Doug Ford to live rent-free inside your skull….I realize you have a lot room in there…why waste so much time on wishful thinking!?
commented 2018-03-13 12:33:19 -0400
And there you go right from Tammie.

I have told you to leave after a barrage of comments which include vulgarities and name calling. There are days where I would like to tell you to go play on the 401, but, I show some restraint.

You remind me of a monkey who flings poo!
commented 2018-03-13 11:55:49 -0400
Bob, in light of recent events, I think they may have reconsidered their opinions.
commented 2018-03-13 11:29:32 -0400
Yes, that’s why they both have told me to leave.
commented 2018-03-13 11:17:03 -0400
Oh come on Bobby, Peter, Tammie and I all think you’re a lot of fun.
commented 2018-03-13 11:15:07 -0400
Oh yeah, and Chantal, we currently do have both a Federal and a Provincial government here in Ontario. The high water mark of liberalism has been reached.
commented 2018-03-13 11:09:39 -0400
Flat Earth,

If I was so entertaining, you would never want me to leave. The reality is that you hate that I am here and wish I would drop dead, because you have seething hate for me.
commented 2018-03-13 11:07:14 -0400
Panicking? LOL.

I might be if Doug Ford wasn’t such a clown and a complete idiot.

Truth be told, I would be panicking a bit if Tanya become leader, but with Doug Ford as leader – even if he does beat Wynne, I will have much entertainment to look forward to with Doug Ford saying stupid shit, fucking up over the easiest of things, comedy shows making fun of him as the jokes will write themselves and the media tearing him apart.

I also look forward to the ferris wheel he promised and the neon sign saying ONTARIO IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS that he spoke about during the debate.

Over at the Red Star, Chantal He’bert in her article “Federal Leaders would have little to celebrate with Doug Ford as Premier” is wringing her hands over the fact the election of will likely put the kybosh on the plans of the Liberals. She consoles herself with the knowledge that the people of Ontario rarely, if ever, vote for the same party both provincially and federally. Au contraire, Chantal, never before has so much damage been done to the Liberal brand and Wynne and Jr. have been so closely associated with each other. Time to throw out the rule book.

We need a major change of direction in Ontario. We are drowning in a liberal swamp. What’s that nonsense about underage children coerced into transgenderism and their parents may not intervene? How many genders are we at right now? I lost count when we passed a hundred. “Some men have vaginas and some women have penises”. Please lock up these lunatics but at least remove them from our schools. Why are we rescuing public sector pension plans with taxpayers’ money? It’s unacceptable. What’s that carbon trading nonsense? What’s with the out of control deficit that just spirals higher and higher? Where will it stop? When will Ontario declare bankruptcy? What’s with Wynne sitting like an idiot in the back of a radical mosque with all the other sidelined women? We don’t treat women this way. This province is so screwed! We need to end this nightmare soon. Btw, some time ago I visited Andrea Horwath’s FB page and under Gender it said “male”. That field is hidden now for some reason. I would like Andrea to explain this gender fluidness, so that at least we know how to address her. Geez…. We need a conservative government very badly.

Rachel Notley must be defeated in the next election because she cannot be rewarded with a solid gold pension for the wilful damage and destruction she has caused to the people and this province..
It is very unfortunate that Kathleen Wynne will walk away a winner no matter what the outcome of the next provincial election.

The liberal’s MSM/Union hornets nest has been stirred up and everything and anything will be thrown at Doug Ford. Wynne was out of the gate trying to tell the public what Doug Ford will do. I think that he is strong, and having witnessed the constant harassment that his brother faced will only strengthen his resolve.
commented 2018-03-13 09:15:58 -0400
I agree with Peter, I think Butt Hurt Bobby is lot of fun. As far as trolls go, he is really quite harmless.
commented 2018-03-13 09:04:08 -0400
From now until the election, left wing rags will publish the same thing over and over….with a word changed here and there!!
Peter, yes, the panic is hilarious to watch.

Bob Who..?? lol
You are still a crybaby and our “pet troll”.. I feel like you’re getting close to the place where you might need a hug… You might have to ask some of the other posters here for that because I could never wash that indelible skidmark out of my mind..
Lol. I think Doug Ford said one of the first things he was going to do was look at that sickening sex education program that you’re so fond of..
You know the one… The one where are you paedophiles are grooming children from kindergarten up… The one that you say is so popular with the parents but elected Doug because one of his platforms was to change that..
You really have been an entertaining little monkey but I think now it’s time for you to go someplace else because you have become tiresome, repetitive and boring as well as disingenuous.

Aside from a request for a donation,I have not received any explanation or apology of an official nature from the PC Party regarding the fiasco that took place at the Convention on Saturday.
I was lucky enough to receive my registration information ,register and vote but many were unable to complete the process. They deserve a mea culpa directly from the party ,not just words in the media.
Irrespective of my disdain for the word “progressive” , I still joined the party, attended rallies for Mulroney and Ford and completed the voting process.
I’ve done my part to rid this once wonderful Province of the socialist spendthrift Wynne and her Liberal Party
Ford has to run a different campaign than the PC party has run with losers like Hudak and Brown. I wasn’t the least bit impressed by the dorks that got on stage on Saturday as well as the idiots that barred THEREBEL from the hotel.
The party executive is clearly out of touch with the new and more vocal base. They better get on the train fast because we have too much at stake for a status quo campaign.

The Red Star this morning lead with Ford’s promise to scrap the sex-ed curriculum. Seems that terrible man wants to consult with parents and teachers. The horror……the horror….

The more Bob “head full of” Rock (and the MSM) complain about Doug Ford, the more sure I am that Doug is the right choice.

They are panicking … and it is a hilarious thing to see.

Keep up the comedy, little Bobby. Did you lose your soother? I’ll buy you another one.

The mainstream media CBC, CTV, Global, etc. aired the news about Ford, most no doubt have read the reports. But it is interesting how this news has gone viral. The Libtards no doubt are afraid because change is coming.

For those that are interested, I noticed that PJW’s new meme is out. “The Truth About Broken Britain”. Sad

Doug Ford’s win was not a victory over his rival candidates, his victory was over the elite of the PC party. They set the rules, they put of the big money and Ford triumphed. That he was able to win by any margin in such a short period of time was truly remarkable. His victory was a victory for the grassroots of the party who finally said enough is enough.

Little Bobby Troll you have proven that you indeed are the troll of many monikers. Your style always gives you away, your deflection is not working though you think it does each and every moniker you use. Too bad the site doesn’t post the IP addresses. This newest moniker of yours will be banned eventually as well because at some point you simple lose it and become more than vulgar. Until then keep those laughs coming, no one takes you serious at all, you are the site’s pet troll. It would get boring without your stupidity showcased daily.

I am cautiously optimistic now that Doug secured the nomination it’s like Katie Hoptkins column can you feel it , the populus uprising …..May he succeed this June !! ( I’ll jump on that bandwagon)
The denialism by the “bob rocks” of Canada to this movement prove my theory of our dumbed down society facilitated in part by the MSM these sheep will cut off their nose to spite their face because they’re told to by their MSM & globalist masters . While I have little sympathy for the pathetic liberal NDP socialist supporting "peoplekind " they should understand we don’t hate them we the like minded “mankind” just want freedom & prosperity and lower taxes & regulations for all especially to those willing to get their hands dirty & make it happen !

If you want a good interview, check out the one with Andrew Lawton this past Monday on the third hour.
commented 2018-03-13 04:01:17 -0400
I watched the Cynthia Mulligan interview of Doug Ford just now. Typical, I’m sure, of what can be expected from the MSM going forward. Not what you would call a friendly, or even objective, interview. It was like she got her talking points straight from Kathleen Wynne. Doug just calmly answered them all.

Mulligan came off as I would expect a typical MSM personality to do these days, trying to focus the interview on anything and everything but the issues that matter to normal Ontarians. For example, Doug had to bring up the catastrophic debt that the McGuinty and Wynne governments have saddled Ontario with, since Mulligan’s seemed to have no interest in going there. Yes, why worry about the negative effect that has on jobs and the government’s ability to fund programs that people need? Why worry that Ontario’s debt is costing some $12 billion a year? It’s like denial of reality has become an MSM obsession. I suspect people are beginning to catch onto this, which is why an ever increasing number don’t take the MSM seriously any more. Why should they, when the MSM’s priorities are leftist propaganda and taxpayer-paid child sex indoctrination programs, and not the bread-and-butter issues that matter to people, especially working people?

I hope Ontario can literally survive another few months of the Wynne swamp before Doug becomes Premier.
