The truth about Cambridge Analytica — and what should be done about “sociopathic liar” Mark Zuckerberg

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Pink haired Cambridge Analytica "whistleblower" Christopher Wylie claims the Trump campaign harvested Facebook data to influence the election, to the tune of $1 million.

That evil Trump! No wonder he won!

Except Google and Facebook advertise to you based on what you like and don’t like. That's how they make money. When you sign up for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Gmail, they’re not the product. You are. And they can buy and sell you, your info, and you agree to that.

So what Christopher Wylie says he was doing does sound discomforting. But it’s not really news.

The New York Times still went huge with the story. But as citizen journalist Mike Cernovich pointed out, the NYT app does the same thing. Even if you delete the app, the New York Times keeps your friends list.

So maybe the New York Times can do an investigation into themselves...

If Cambridge Analytica actually used that Facebook user data in a way that broke their contract with Facebook, that’s one thing. But Wylie left that company years before the 2016 election. What he’s describing is pretty much how all apps work. But just with a bit of drama. And pink hair.

Then it came out that Wylie hadn’t just worked for the company that two years later did work for Trump. He had worked with — the Liberal Party of Canada. A lot. In fact, he was born in Canada, interned with the Liberals as a teenager, then worked for Ignatieff, then Trudeau.

Whereas, according to Obama's former media director, Facebook was once "on our side."

So was any law broken? Trump didn’t even use Cambridge Analytica in the campaign, it turns out. Not sure if the Obama campaign broke the law. But what about Facebook?

Would Mark Zuckerberg, the narcissistic Facebook CEO with the God complex — would he ever lie...?

Look at how closely linked Zuckerberg and his number two, Sheryl Sandberg, are with the Democrats. Just like Google and Twitter are.

Just like Justin Trudeau and Sandberg are. And whether it’s Facebook helping Trudeau because they like him, or because he’s threatening them if they don’t, it’s happening.

Facebook shut down 30,000 Facebook accounts that supported Marine Le Pen, the right wing candidate in the French election. Because those accounts were "fake." Trust him.

But Mark Zuckerberg is a liar. A sociopath.

He’ll say or do anything.

So what do we do?

Trump really should look at a trust-busting approach to these Facebook monopolies.

I also think Zuckerberg should be sued.

I’m not mad at Christopher Wylie. I’m mad at Obama, Trudeau and Macron for what they did with Facebook, and I’m mad at Zuckerberg for thinking the world was his toy.

TONIGHT'S GUESTS: Edmonton Sun Senior Columnist Lorne Gunter and I examine the Alberta NDP budget; then Behnam Ben Taleblu, Research Fellow at the Foundation for Defence of Democracy, on the Saudi Crown Prince's visit to Trump.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

‘Are the Saudis just anybody’s whore?’
I suppose in reality it could be the other way around. I’m sure I don’t know.

I agree Al. I looks to me like the Saudis are bullying everyone, and America and Russia are in competition kissing butt to win the most favour. Saudi money has big influence in the west. Canada has been relegated to boot scape and dumping ground, and not allowed to play at the resource table. I think that is part of the dealings between Russia and Saudis Arabia, to keep us out for sure, and attempt to knock America down the pecking order. I wonder how long Saudi oil will be traded in American dollars?

“Saudi King Bows To New Middle East Zsar Putin And Brings Billions For Joint Projects With Russia”.
This vid is at least 6 mos. old/young. New guy now but…….

Russia and Saudi Arabia have oil in common, and Russia needs pretty well any trade it can get and wants to weaken the relationship between the Saudis and America, for multiple reasons———but its not like they don’t have completely different enemies.
Why do these big powers, America included, sell arms to countries which they are fighting against in proxy wars? I know it is for more than just war for wars sake or sales for sales sake. Its also strategic. However it gets so convoluted that I wonder if it even makes sense to any of the war mongers who choreograph this nonsense.

Are the Saudis just anybody’s whore? How can we trust Wahhabi’s, the most radical Islamic tribe in the world? Look at how they treat their own people and who they fund.

Liza the Saudi’s are financing all the mosques in the West and thereby the terorrism that flows from them. They ain’t our friends.

Interesting interview with Behnam Ben Taleblu. I would like to hear more from him as this unfolds. I don’t know what to think about Saudi Arabia and our relationship with them or this new king.

…and don’t forget Wiley’s connection with the liberal party? Man, somebody needs to get the skinny on that story.
In this day and age what chance is there of having a fair or legitimate election. Are those days over?

Most people who haven’t had facebook from birth, are more suspicious of the potential for big brother insinuating itself into our lives. I would love to see Zuck go down and facebook crash and burn. As you mentioned he is probably sounding positive to the ideas of regulations as a way to secure his monopoly well into the future. He has way too much power, and his political interference is obvious. Look at what politicians meet with him in public, including Merkel and our own Justin. I can imagine what he does in private.
The dems just won’t give it up about the Russians, and now Zuck is running defence for the dems calling all who have opposing opinions Russian bots.
All of this has highlighted the dangers of these types of monopolies. Zuck has created a monster, and become one with his creation.
Too bad technological progress isn’t always a good thing or used for good. Rather than elevate us I believe it will be mankind’s demise.

Big surprise , Christopher Wylie is from Canada, the land formerly of the crusty lumberjack alpha, now the land of the beta male and the gender fluid. I know which one most women prefer. The ones who still have a decent level of testosterone!
They must be putting more atrazine in the water here than in America.

Hey Mckenna how about addressing that pollution problem. Its more of a threat to man kind than any climate warming by a long shot!!

Tammie, you are exactly correct with your post about the DNA Mapping Scam, that’s being advertised on TV, Radio, the Internet, etc. What you said about Gov’t, Insurance Cos. & whatever else in the future, has access to this Personal Data, will use this info. against us… Guaranteed! As guaranteed as.. “most of the problems in the World are caused by Liberals Policies!”, because they are based on “feelings” not Common Sense! Look at where we are here in North America, after 50+ years of indoctrination by the education system, the lying MSM & our “elected” leaders.
IMO, the people behind this Scam are the same people that are behind the Man-Made Global Warming Scams!

Space Moose FB is selling the info , not just keeping track of it.

I dumped Facebook approx. 11 years ago. I didn’t download Apps such as Instagram, Snap Chat, Periscope etc…as I disagreed with terms. I didn’t trust any of this technology and with good reason.
I use my smartphone for texting and having a phone in case of emergency. I take photos and store them on my laptop, backed up on an exterior drive.

If you are tempted to send your DNA to be mapped, as is being advertised quite frequently, IMO don’t do it. Over the past couple of years, I have discouraged a number of people who thought this would be “fun” and “informative”. They didn’t think of how this information could be used, or sold. Willingly giving a third party access to your genetic makeup is problematic and could be used in the future to disqualify you from health benefits and health care should legislation be changed, or insurance companies looking to exclude by reason of genetic make up, going far beyond pre-existing conditions. Data breaches and selling your information for profit are not worth what you get from these companies.

Space Moose, when you sign up for any App the terms and conditions are presented & it’s up to the person to agree to the terms or not. I guess you agreed without having read the terms. That’s on you.
Do the research yourself to figure out what you agreed to, then, changed your mind about.

On Global Vancouver Noon News today, we heard that the NDP Government may fall as the Green Party Weaver said he was withdrawing support as he holds the balance of power.
Premier Horgan offered a Natural Gas Company a tax break and no Carbon Tax, if they would invest in BC. Weaver went nuts and called the NG Company and said that he would withdraw NDP support, and therefore bring down the NDP.
So far Weaver has backed down, as Horgan called his bluff.
Possible election coming after only 6 months.

Tax, borrow, spend, run up debt. And erode your freedom. The NDP and Liberals are so predictable.

Seems that many people never had a damn clue how the internet worked before?

- If the Cambridge Analytica story was supposed to be a Trump smear I think it missed the mark. From what I’ve seen the outrage has been directed at Facebook. I give as little info to Facebook as possible & have never taken these surveys or downloaded these aps. Take a good look at Mark Zuckerberg & ask yourself “would I let this guy handle my personal finances?” He’s rigging elections on behalf of the far left & lying about it. The big social media companies need to be regulated like utility companies & / or broken up.

- It sounds like the Alberta NDP & Ontario Liberals are pretty much interchangeable. Same running up of the debt. Same delusions. Fortunately for Alberta they have an actual conservative party in the waiting so they won’t have to wait 15 years to oust them.

- If you want to deal with these situations in the middle east without nation building or putting boots on the ground then you need to find common cause with those that are already there. Preventing Iran from starting a nuclear arms race in the middle east seems like a good cause (though I’m sure the Democrats will disagree).

Class action. Sounds classy to me. I have never and will never be a facebooker but if I was I would want to show some class at this point and redeem my good name. We all make mistakes but no one likes to be made a fool of. Zuck is clearly making fools of all who buy his schtick. Don’t be a zucker, make him pay. Having to give up his filthy lucre is likely the only thing he feels.
commented 2018-03-23 21:30:00 -0400
What do the terms and conditions say? I deleted the app.

Zuckerberg was vibrating he was so nervous. I hope he gets sued because he deserves it, and all those that he allowed to tap in to personal information should be sued too. I keep telling my kids to get off facebook but it seems to be an addiction. It’s certainly not healthy to be exposed to global snoops, who are manipulating the information they receive, and blocking other competition, or more importantly, those with other ideas and opinions that they don’t want you to know about.

Interesting financial concept: spend your way out debt. Cecinomics.

Zuckerberg is a greedy liar. I hope he faces a class action lawsuit.

Notley and Wynne have created so much debt and destruction, there is a special place in hell for these women.
