Elizabeth Warren is of little interest to most Americans. She’s a left-wing Senator from Massachusetts. She’s like a blander version of Bernie Sanders.
Whatever you say about Sanders, he’s authentic. Authentically socialist; authentically nuts, some would even say. But he’s real — I think that’s why young people liked him. Elizabeth Warren doesn't have that authenticity.
It’s likely she would not be where she is, if she hadn’t been appointed to some key government commissions a decade ago; and it’s likely she wouldn’t have been appointed to those commissions had she not been a prominent professor at Harvard.
And it’s almost a certainty that she wouldn’t have been appointed a professor at Harvard had she not said that she was a visible minority.
Everyone in the world wants to attend Harvard as a student; but even more competitive is teaching at Harvard as a professor. Elizabeth Warren is smart, but she’s not that smart.
But she got in by saying she’s an American Indian.
She didn't just steal this job from another white person. She stole it from the very American Indians that quota was trying to help.
It’s like a rich person doing their grocery shopping at a food bank.
Now, by the time Warren was entering politics, a few people asked questions. Some of Elizabeth Warren’s own family called her out for her B.S. But everyone else kept playing along.
Until Donald Trump came along. He loves saying what everybody’s thinking, but nobody has the guts to say. He called her "Pocahontas" and it stuck.
He even challenged Warren to take a DNA test — and said he’d pay her a million bucks if she was really Indian.
She actually took the bait.
And she even released the DNA test results to her friendly hometown paper, the Boston Globe. They called the results "strong evidence" that her claims were true.
"... the report identified suggests she’s between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American."
"Strong evidence"? Not half, not a quarter, not an eighth. (That would be one great-grandparent.)
But one one-thousandth.
And the geneticist didn’t even test if she’s an Indian. He tested if she has any South American DNA in her. And maybe she has one one-thousandth in her. From Peru or Colombia.
And Elizabeth Warren thought this was a good idea:
To actually take the test. And to release it. And then to put out a 30-tweet rant about it.
She is crazy.
I think Donald Trump broke her. He drove her mad. Just with a word — "Pocahontas."
I just wish we’d have a conservative in Canada who would do that — it’s not Andrew Scheer, and it’s not Jason Kenney. Maybe it’s Doug Ford. One can only hope...
