Ezra Levant: The big loser in the Israeli election? Obama

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Obama's minions tried and failed to prevent Benjamin Netanyahu's reelection in Israel yesterday.

It's true: A bunch of Democratic Party operatives actually went over there to undermine Netanyahu's Likud campaign.

With "allies" like that, who needs enemies?

Now that Obama's operatives have failed miserably, how has the rest of the world reacted to the Israeli election results? You might be surprised.

It doesn’t matter who is in power, there will never be peace in the middle east. God warned His people in the OT about being stiff-necked and disobedient to His way and law and warned against adopting the ways of the heathens they were to conquer and destroy. If they transgressed they would be punished. Under God’s allowance this punishment will continue until the time comes that He will destroy 2/3 of the world and bring the remaining 1/3 through fire. The Lord put Benjamin Netanyahu back into power. The Jews are His covenant people and once the salvation of the Gentiles is full (Roman 9-12), He will open the blind eyes of the Jews to see Him Whom they have pierced.
Obama is just another tool to fulfil God’s Counsel. It’s all dirty politics.

Eileen, as you note, “The greatest threat to western democracies sometimes comes from ***within*** the democracy itself”. Lawrence, as you say, “To understand Obama’s often bizzarre and seemingly inexplicable behavior, you have to *understand who he is*.” I have highlighted before, this thought-provoking documentary on the socialist subversion of America, “Agenda – Grinding America Down”, which, in my mind, does an excellent job of connecting the dots; putting the pieces of the puzzle together:
Wanda, you said, “I don’t understand Obama. If I was a conspiracy theorist (which I’m not), I’d be jumping up and down about now”. This documentary called “Agenda” means precisely that in that there is no hidden agenda as far as explaining the cultural transformation that has occurred in America since the 1960s.
The documentary is an hour and a half long, but drop in at: 23:43 minutes where New Zealand author Trevor Loudon, who maintains a blog entitled New Zeal, explains that the Fabian Socialist Society, which holds to “socialism by evolution instead of Marxist socialism by revolution”, has beget in America the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), which, beget the Weather Underground, and, in turn, has “beget basically the social changes that happened in America in the last 40 years”. (Stop at 24:06 minutes) The narrator then explains that “Many of the SDS members from the 1960s still have an incredible influence on the direction our country is heading”.
Subsequently one is introduced to two of those former SDS members. One is Rev. Jim Wallis, currently a spiritual adviser to Obama with whom Wallis has been friends for many years; going back to the Chicago politics crowd. Another, Bill Ayers has been a long-time friend and neighbour of President Obama. It came out in 2009 that Obama’s book “Dreams from My Father” was even written by Ayers. In 1969 Ayers co-founded, as a faction of SDS, the Weather Underground (originally called the Weatherman), a self-described communist revolutionary group that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings (including police stations, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Pentagon) during the 1960s and 1970s in response to U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. With those credentials, Ayers went on to be an academic career as a professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The narrator concludes at 25:02 minutes, “So the influence from the Fabian Socialist Society goes right into the White House”.
Check out the chart occurring between 35:20 and 35:47 minutes, a snippet of the charts featured in the documentary which extensively trace the connections between the people, groups, and institutions of influence which link to President Barrack Obama.

People that back this utopian idea of a Palestinian State are basically clueless . Take the case of Quebec. If Quebec did decide to cede from Canada, of course there would be consequences. But Quebec is a strong civil society with adherence to criminal and civil law. They would survive .Palestine has no civil society , no democratic values that equate to even the weakest of democracies. There would be no lasting “peace” because “peace” is not been and never will be the objective. You need a lasting and proven governing body to form the other side of an agreement. In the case of those representing themselves as Palistinians, it would fall to the radicals the minute an agreement was signed. Of course they would feel entitled to keep what they had gained through negotiation, the main thing being some level; of legitimacy at the United Nations. The United Nations is another mess that should be disbanded. It is nothing more than a forum for the radiucal Muslims and tin pot dictators. All of whom want Israel to cease to exist.
So today we have the Chavez of the North, Obama leaking trial balloons. Go to the United Nations and create the State of Palestine. There will be cheering in the streets for a day or two – if it happens- and then the fighting will begin. Technically we are in a state of war, the incipient stages of the next world war. Some may scoff at this, but I doubt Churcill would be sceptical of that possibility.

Ah the LEFT. It’s hard to understand how a gradual move toward peace can be accomplished when the other party has publicly stated over and over again their goal is your total destruction. It seems one is the aggressor here and it is not Israel.
commented 2015-03-19 13:06:21 -0400
Yea. Or maybe it’s more like the U.S. didn’t want Nutty-Yahoo re-elected because he undermines the U.S. “veto” position which is based on the idea there is some sort of gradual move towards peace.

As Haaretz points out:

*The first was Netanyahu’s comment about “Arab voters coming out in droves,” which some in the administration view as racist. There is little President Obama considers more loathsome, administration officials note, than stoking racism to win votes. “Given our own history we have a unique perspective on the idea that minorities’ voting is not something to be condemned or feared,” said one administration official. The analogy is significant because the civil rights movement is Obama’s moral compass. For an administration official to compare Netanyahu to George Wallace or Bull Connor, even obliquely, says a lot about which side of history they believe he’s on.

The second comment that enraged Team Obama was Netanyahu’s boast that he built the settlement of Har Homa as “a way of stopping Bethlehem from moving toward Jerusalem.” Bibi, said a senior administration official, was “confirming that settlement policy has been a means of undermining a Palestinian state.” Which is to say: Netanyahu was confirming that by continuing settlement expansion, he had knowingly sabotaged John Kerry’s peace negotiations. White House officials believed that already. But they didn’t expect Bibi to publicly rub it in their face.

Thirdly, of course, Bibi said he would not allow a Palestinian state. Administration officials expect their Israeli counterparts to parse Bibi’s words in an attempt to downplay their importance. In private conversations, top AIPAC officials have already tried. But people inside the administration find that effort laughable, in part because they never thought Bibi wanted a Palestinian state even when he was on record as supporting one.*

The U.S. has known the entire time Israel has never been interested in peace, Netanyahu is a threat to that narrative which the U.S.’s consistent U.N. vetos of human rights violation investigations ride on.

Wrong again, Ezra, but then it’s the same old from “Sun News” and now “The Rebel”: BS partisan campaign propaganda.

The greatest threat to western democracies sometimes comes from within the democracy itself. And, in my opinion, Obama is the greatest threat citizens of North America face. Beware of the silver-tongued orator!
commented 2015-03-19 01:46:33 -0400
To understand Obama’s often bizzarre and seemingly inexplicable behavior, you have to understand who he is. To do that, you have to watch the DVD “Dreams from my real father” ( which details American Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis, who Obama described in his book “Dreams from my father” as his “mentor”. Also, do a search on Obama and Soetoro, who was Obama’s stepfather, and read on. Without this background info, you cannot understand who Obama is or what his motivations are. Once you have this information, it will become horrifyingly clear.

Before Congress, Bibi praised Obama. He took the high road of conciliation while Obama turned his back. Now, by not congratulating Netanyahu, Obama shrinks to an even smaller stature than before. He is an embarrassment to the west.

Obama still hasn’t proven he’s even an american citizen, let alone a natural born citizen… he sure acts like a foreign plant on a mission to destroy the U.S. I have researched the whole “birther” controversy, and it was never resolved. The official investigation by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his team of investigators (called the Cold Case Posse) from Maricopa County in Arizona found them to be computer generated forgeries. Additionally, the Posse’s six-month-long review included an examination of President Obama’s Selective Service card and contended that it, also, is a forgery. Their claims were presented at that press conference, and at a second press conference held on March 31, 2012. The allegations regarding the birth certificate were repeated at a July 17, 2012, news conference, where Arpaio stated that his investigators are certain that Obama’s long-form birth certificate is fraudulent. The mainstream media refuses to report this to the public and be-littles anyone who mentions it. The long list of scandals during his administration illustrate a complete disregard for their constitution and the rule of law. Members of the senate and congress also refused to address this issue. When brought before various judges, the charges against Obama were dismissed, usually claiming that their Courts had no standing to hear these crimes. Scandal after scandal has been perpetrated by his administration : 1. IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.

2. Benghazi: This is actually three scandals in one:
The failure of administration to protect the Benghazi mission.
The changes made to the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video
The refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack

3. Watching the AP: The Justice Department performed a massive cull of Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.

4. Rosengate: The Justice Department suggested that Fox News reporter James Rosen is a criminal for reporting about classified information and subsequently monitored his phones and emails.

5. Potential Holder perjury I: Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when in fact he signed the affidavit that termed Rosen a potential criminal.

6. The ATF “Fast and Furious” scheme: Allowed weapons from the U.S. to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. The ATF lost track of hundreds of firearms, many of which were used in crimes, including the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

7. Potential Holder Perjury II: Holder told Congress in May 2011 that he had just recently heard about the Fast and Furious gun walking scheme when there is evidence he may have known much earlier.

8. Sebelius demands payment: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

9. The Pigford scandal: An Agriculture Department effort that started as an attempt to compensate black farmers who had been discriminated against by the agency but evolved into a gravy train delivering several billion dollars in cash to thousands of additional minority and female farmers who probably didn’t face discrimination.

10. GSA gone wild: The General Services Administration in 2010 held an $823,000 training conference in Las Vegas, featuring a clown and a mind readers. Resulted in the resignation of the GSA administrator.

11. Veterans Affairs in Disney World: The agency wasted more than $6 million on two conferences in Orlando. An assistant secretary was fired.

12. Sebelius violates the Hatch Act: A U.S. special counsel determined that Sebelius violated the Hatch Act when she made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” during a speech in her official capacity last year. During the remarks, Sebelius called for the election of the Democratic candidate for governor of North Carolina.

13. Solyndra: Republicans charged the Obama administration funded and promoted its poster boy for green energy despite warning signs the company was headed for bankruptcy. The administration also allegedly pressed Solyndra to delay layoff announcements until after the 2010 midterm elections.

14. AKA Lisa Jackson: Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used the name “Richard Windsor” when corresponding by email with other government officials, drawing charges she was trying to evade scrutiny.

15. The New Black Panthers: The Justice Department was accused of using a racial double standard in failing to pursue a voter intimidation case against Black Panthers who appeared to be menacing voters at a polling place in 2008 in Philadelphia.

16. Waging war all by myself: Obama may have violated the Constitution and both the letter and the spirit of the War Powers Resolution by attacking Libya without Congressional approval.

17. Biden bullies the press: Vice President Biden’s office has repeatedly interfered with coverage, including forcing a reporter to wait in a closet, making a reporter delete photos, and editing pool reports.

18. AKPD not A-OK: The administration paid millions to the former firm of then-White House adviser David Axelrod, AKPD Message and Media, to promote passage of Obamacare. Some questioned whether the firm was hired to help pay Axelrod $2 million AKPD owed him.

19. Sestak, we’ll take care of you: Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used Bill Clinton as an intermediary to probe whether former Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) would accept a prominent, unpaid White House advisory position in exchange for dropping out of the 2010 primary against former Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.).

20. I’ll pass my own laws: Obama has repeatedly been accused of making end runs around Congress by deciding which laws to enforce, including the decision not to deport illegal immigrants who may have been allowed to stay in the United States had Congress passed the “Dream Act.”

21. The hacking of Sharyl Attkisson’s computer: It’s not clear who hacked the CBS reporter’s computer as she investigated the Benghazi scandal, but the Obama administration and its allies had both the motive and the means to do it.

22. An American Political Prisoner: The sudden decision to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula on unrelated charges after protests in the Arab world over his anti-Muslim video is an extraordinarily suspicious coincidence. “We’re going to go out and we’re going to prosecute the person that made that video,” Hillary Clinton allegedly told the father of one of the ex-SEALs killed in Banghazi.

23. Get rid of inconvenient IGs: Corporation for National and Community Service Inspector General Gerald Walpin was fired in 2009 as he fought wasteful spending and investigated a friend of Obama’s, Sacramento Mayor and former NBA player Kevin Johnson. The White House says Walpin was incompetent.

24. Influence peddling: An investigation is underway of Alejandro Mayorkas, director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, who has been nominated by Obama for the number two post at the Department of Homeland Security. Mayorkas may have used his position to unfairly obtain U.S. visas for foreign investors in company run by Hillary Clinton’s brother, Anthony Rodham.
Enough said… this guy should never have even been nominated for election.

I don’t understand Obama. If I was a conspiracy theorist (which I’m not), I’d be jumping up and down about now. Apart from everything else that’s troubling about this man, he has no class at all. It’s a given that there is going to be tension between leaders of nations, it being a complicated world, but to give the newly elected President of a nation with which your country has had a long and, until 2008, supportive relationship the “I’m not talking to you and I’m going to cross the street if I see you coming my way” routine is kind of childish.

It would almost seem quite apart from political philosophies, Obama has an especially visceral dislike for any western leaders that have approximately the same or more “time in” high office as he does himself.
Very strange person.

I’m unable to validate this, but I hear they even spent some of the State Department’s tax dollars on the old “Hope” and “Change” slogans.

Also, I know my short term memory isn’t so good any more, but wasn’t it just last week that Obama was telling us all how “embarrassed” he was that some Senators signed an open letter to Iran, and that many Democrats even wanted them prosecuted for treason?

Harry S. Truman was US President when I was born. Since then there have been 12 Presidents, including Truman. Some of those have been good, some not so good.. most have been a little bit of both. But President Obama has done more to destroy the international reputation of America, and more to undermine the economy and infrastructure of America than any other President in American history. Even Jimmy Carter had the Camp David Accords between Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin. Obama has done nothing positive to further world peace, and he has a Nobel peace prize!! Obama has undermined Americas founding principles by being a bully and a tyrant domestically, and being a sniveling butt-kissing coward internationally; kowtowing and sucking up to all the world’s most totalitarian regimes, and alienating all liberal democracies and traditional friends of America. After Obama is gone, even with the right President, it’s going to be a long, hard crawl back up.
