Ezra's election night monologue: Canadians will soon come to miss Stephen Harper, even though they won't admit it

Rebel Staff

Ezra Levant welcomed viewers to the first ever LIVE broadcast from TheRebel.media's brand new crowdfunded studio.

He called the federal election campaign "trench warfare where every day the consensus media had one goal: Stop Harper."

Ezra rounds up "lowlights" from the Media Party's biased, all out campaign to throw Stephen Harper out of office: Their wall-to-wall obsession with the Mike Duffy trial and a previously unknown Conservative heckler, for example -- while ignoring more important stories that made the Liberals and NDP look bad, including one with connections to the Chinese Communist Party.

Justin Trudeau gets compared to Barack Obama a lot, but Ezra points out that at least Obama is a Harvard educated lawyer and senator, whose election symbolized a step towards racial reconciliation in America.

But what does Trudeau's election represent? Ezra asks. Nepotism? That your last name matters? That celebrity is more important than accomplishment?

He ends with a somber prediction...

I agree with Jimmy Da Silva. Unfortunately, the biased media will obfuscate and obscure the cause of any economic problems allowing Trudeau to blame any problems on external causes. He will indeed be re-elected at least twice then I fear may consider indefinitely suspending elections as unnecessary and “wasteful of taxpayer dollars” (one of the few times he will express consideration of such).

I miss him

Canadians won’t miss Harper at all and I predict now that Trudeau gets re-elected. I am going to save this page, so I can remind you of my prediction – if the Rebel is still around by then.

Nathan stop lying. You know damn well they grinded Harper down over the Duffy affair and lobbed softballs to Trudeau. All PMs have tried to control their cabinet. Harper was not the first so please stop making shit up.

“Canadians will soon come to miss Stephen Harper, even though they won’t admit it”
I highly doubt it.
Here’s for hoping that the Conservatives can find a real leader, one who can find qualified peopel and empower them to make decisions, rather than trying to micromanage an entire country and government from his very own PMO.
As for the notion that the media is anti-Harper: give it up already. It’s a complete lie. Almost every paper in the country explicitly endorsed Harper. There is no leftist anti-Harper media conspiracy. If anything, they have bee ntreating him with kiddy gloves the whole time.

STick around Ezra! We’re going to really need you now! Lots of work out there now that Turdeau ‘s in. I pray you keep your pro-life stance! That is crucial, and I’ll be with you all along the way. Congrats on your new studio.. it looks great! and Thanks for your concern and energy in your reports, in trying to keep Canada family-minded, fair, loving, disciplined and realistic. We’re a team!

It’s been said we deserve the government we elect. For being such daft fools at electing someone who is not a leader, has a platform that will bankrupt this country and will do nothing that he promised, Canada deserves the Hell voters dropped us into.

Love it Russell. Kind of like when the Leninists took over Russia. All the under achievers, thugs and criminals got spots in the government.

You may enjoy this:

And morality is subjective, because everyone has their own view as to what is morally right and morally wrong. Someone like you might think that a Gay Pride Parade is morally wrong – but millions of other people don’t.

It’s a fucking moronic question, because Canada won’t be wiped out. Canada will be just fine and you will be doing the same boo-hooing when Trudeau is re-elected.

Diane Hoffmann – I like the blast from TheRebel videos, it really grabs your attention. Though my dog howls when it comes on!

Hi there… love all about this web site, except the super-loud speedsound noise before and especially after the videos… I had to put up the sound in order to hear what Ezra was saying and at the end of the video I jumped like crazy when the loud noise broke the speed of sound right in front of me, without warning, and almost gave me a heart attack… my ears are still ringing… no kidding the decibel measurement must have been 200. Thought you’d like to know — some adjustments are needed. But love the content of the commentaries!

Steve Martin – if you try to corner the unions, you had best be prepared to have your legs broken, or maybe you will pay with your life. I think it is a good idea though, and worth exposing these peons to the public. We need someone to infiltrate and start documenting these traitors to democracy, for the next election. One can never be too prepared when dealing with those who operate on the wrong side of the law, or who lack integrity, for that matter!

Give it six months, maybe a year…..In due time the reality of Justin Trudeau’s tax and spend, spending habits will sink in.Once people have to start digging deeper and deeper into their pockets they will start to realize that Stephen Harper’s policies weren’t so bad after all.I have known for a number of yrs that members of the media are corrupt, one sided and love using the dirty tactics. It’s to bad these media outlets aren’t investigated and be held to account.

The biggest lesson for young people, from the Trudeau win, is that you don’t have to strive to do something, learn something and do it well. Even a non-achiever who has done nothing, can be on top, directing everyone else.

“If you think Canada is doomed, then you have been drinking too much conservative fear mongering and propaganda Kool-Aid. ..I am quite sure Justin has the best intentions and wants Canada to be great….”

For some reason, Alexis Tsipras, Antonis Samaras, and Panagiotis Pikrammenos come to mind, JIMMY.

Allan I agree. I think conservatism is lost on Canadians. Future fights will be between the NDP and Liberals. Canada is not like the US. Canada is urbanizing which equates to liberal voters. Americans value self reliance and independent thinking.

Hey just occurred to me , Justin will actually have to work for the first time in his pampered life.

Jimmy Da Silva who will pay for everything if we are wiped out? You will have to get an actual job
commented 2015-10-21 01:54:30 -0400
jimmy Da silva i hate to tell you but CHinese will be the majority in about 15 years and they do not like communist type thinking buddy, and sorry but it is you progressives who will die out as you are aborting babies and marrying your same sex partners.

Conservative supporters will miss Harper, but not anybody that is left of center. Leftists have been conditioned to think that anything right wing is evil, oppressive, or insane.

Maybe things might change if one of those slutwalk protesters have a run in with a muslim extremist that came over as a refugee. Not that we will ever know, as the media would never report such a thing.

Maybe the Menzoid can show up at a slutwalk in a niqab.

Jimmy Da Silva commented _ “I am quite sure Justin has the best intentions and wants Canada to be great.”
Heh – Even if that is true it is not JT who will decide policy, it is powerful party patrons/clients with self serving interests – this is the historic reality of the party system, it serves the 1% . As history has proven repeatedly, it is unwise to “trust” the intent of big governments what with democide claiming 262,000,000 victims in the last 100 years of big statist government – doing so betrays a child-like naiveté of practical statist politics and their real world legacy.

JD then sends this zinger – "Morality is subjective " OMG!
– to answer this silly premise; morality is subjectively created, then externalized and made communicable, tangible, and therefore objective, and then internalized from the objective state making it subjective as it’s held in the mind of the individual. Morality is defined by stage. However, I think the statement was your incoherent way of referencing an age-old philosophical argument about morality being ABSOLUTE or RELATIVE. That has been answered by both classic and post modern philosophers – If morality is “relative” to situational requirements society breaks down because no one can know what is true or a lie or what is right or wrong. If OTOH you were referring to REALTY being objective or “subjective” the answer is similar to that of morality’s nature – reality can be either subjective if it I internalized in our own mind or it can be and is objective as it exists externally to our selves (imagination) and is accessible only through our senses. It is possible to create internal or subjective realities in the mind (imagination) which is not reflected in objective reality (in tangible fact external to our imagination) – those who think large powerful government hold their best interests at heart are certainly engaging in a subjective reality which does not exist in fact outside their own imagination.

The lefties and the confused, have only seen and experienced that they can take and plunder from the work, toil, production of others, seemingly without end, and certainly without morals, and encouraged by the false narratives of the MSM. Punish the MSM and cut the cord.

For all those young adults in Ontario… get ready to send more of your taxes to Quebec to pay for the promises he made them.. also open up your wallets for the another pension plan from Justins friend Wynne. She will need lots of your money to pay for … I don’t know windmills… by the way, these Govt. pension plans… never work well.. by the time you reach my age they won’t by a used hot dog. I just started collecting mine & have nice private penions as supplement so won’t be paying taxes or pensions anymore. Thinking of some place warm, & sunny with lots of sand & ocean.. Enjoy your stay with Wynney the pooh & Justin truelove.

Morality is subjective and yes, you are in the minority and that minority will only get smaller as the decades come and go. Your time has come and gone as well.
commented 2015-10-20 22:25:11 -0400
Jimmy I am well aware of what people want…. I am also aware that these things are ultimately destructive to the individuals & society. IF you think it is OK to kill unborn babies, then I am glad I don’t share your values.
I am aware that I am in a minority. Have been for a long time. Just remember this . While the bills may not get paid today, eventually they do come due… & not just the monetary ones.Ignoring moral laws are just as deadly as jumping off a cliff…. it just takes a little longer to hit the ground… but it is along way down, & bites like H….

The can’t move for clothes & garbage on the floor crowd…. guess who will be paying for more of that lifestyle… YOU the get up & go to work each day crowd.

Your views are archaic and no longer represent society today or what people want. It’s probably best that you are retiring and sailing off into the sunset, since you don’t want to join the 21st century.

That boat you saw leaving was the last Conservative Govt. that will ever be elected again. A decent man & a decent family. Shame on Canada for their shabby display. Today I am ashamed of my fellow countrymen, who have shown their lack of decency. Free stuff so lay abouts can lay about & free pot, is all it takes to buy these people. The younger generation has been indoctrinated for decades to despise anything that is not socialist/anarchist/progressive.I am retiring & will sail off into the sunset of some golden shore somewhere & collect my pensions, while there is some money left. I have been a religious Christian conservative most of my life & every value that was important has been discarded with glee by these wicked generation(s). The last 3 going back to WW2.Abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, are the negatives foisted upon us, plus Israel has lost one of its last friends. democracy & free speech have all been suborned by a culture/media that is bereft of any concept of journalism is supposed to be. The smiles & glee in the newsrooms where they discarded even a pretence of impartiality are in stark contrast to the glum faces when Harper won. Our western democracies are lost. Yes the few will fight on , only to be sued , ruined or jailed as the age of the anarchists takes hold, determined to bring the world like a blind Samson down upon itself , taking everyone with them.I have spent years supporting Conservatives(even they are tone deaf, they sure took their time getting things done).. but will be pursuing other interests now. Good luck boys you are in for a rough ride. As Marxist as Pierre was at least he had something between the ears. Gonna worry about what really counts.. how are the leafs doing?
