Bill McKibben hates the oilsands and pipelines. Which is weird, considering how much he jet-sets around, using fossil fuels.
Ten years ago, he founded a lobby group called 350.org, raising tens of millions of dollars on the global warming scam.
The Media Party would cut and paste 350.org press releases into Canadian news stories, never asking McKibben, “Who is paying you?” and “Why are you telling Canada to stop producing oil, but you’re silent on OPEC”?
But then, last week, McKibben wrote this in the UK Guardian:
“Stop swooning over Justin Trudeau. The man is a disaster for the planet.”
"Donald Trump is a creep and unpleasant to look at, but at least he’s not a stunning hypocrite when it comes to climate change.”
It’s basically the same thing McKibben said about Stephen Harper, but last week he pointed out that Trudeau says all the right things as an environmental extremist, but also approved at least one oil pipeline.
He also called Trudeau a “boy band” pretty boy.

NEXT: Should the City of Toronto continue to pour tax dollars into Pride celebrations now that that group, under pressure from Black Lives Matter, has banned police from taking part?
The Sun's Lorrie Goldstein and I look at the controversy, and the broader issue of whether or not any city should be subsidizing identity politics, especially under these circumstances.
THEN: I share my own thoughts on the French election so far — along with one of the many great reports our own Eric Duhaime has filed from Paris (thanks to all of your for crowdfunding his journey to bring you the story on the ground.)
