Conservative YouTuber Mark Dice recently had his Facebook account suspended for sharing his opinion about a controversial Dove ad featuring a “transgender mom”.
Dice posted an article about the ad and wrote that, “Excuse me now while I go grab some Irish Spring to clean up my puke.”
He was then given a notification from Facebook saying he violated their “community standards” and blocked him from posting for 24 hours.
After reports from Heat Street and other outlets, Facebook reversed the ban.
“A member of our team accidentally removed something you posted on Facebook. This was a mistake, and we sincerely apologize for this error,” Facebook said in a notification to Dice.
If it wasn't for Dice's influence, one has to wonder if Facebook would have corrected its mistake. It wasn't long ago that the site faced criticism after it was revealed to be suppressing conservative opinions while promoting left-wing ones.
