Facebook data mining: Obama did it first — and “to a greater degree” than Trump

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

By now you've probably heard that a former Facebook employee stupidly went on Twitter and detailed how her former employer teamed up with the Obama campaign to help him win the presidential election.

However, the international media is more focussed on the Trump campaign's use of a similar data mining process, leaving out the fact that Team Obama did it first, and far more extensively — because Facebook wanted Obama to win.

(PS: Ezra Levant explained "everything Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg doesn't tell you about privacy" back in September...)

More left wing hypocrisy , they are the champions of it.
Glad to see FB is being damaged by this. I see tweets by spoiled SJW’s saying FB owes them something , enjoy reaping what you sew Zuckerberg.
To be clear i disagree with the spoiled SJW’s , FB does not owe them anything , they agreed to terms of service and ignored so much evidence of this happening , so they can get bent.

Bob Rock she did, she said they both did it. It is the media that is being hypocritical, she is pointing that out. That does not make her the guilty party.

Facebook’s value plunged after the news of long term data breaches…no sympathy! The last I heard, the value dropped by 37 billion!

I dumped Facebook about 11 years ago. Didn’t trust it.

By the way, Amanda, your complaining about the cold in southern California doesn’t enlist any sympathy from me.l Here in Houston, BC, we just got about a foot and a half of snow overnight.

The only reason I’m on Facebook is because friends and family keep sending me stuff I can only access through Facebook. I wish it were a completely neutral platform, but I don’t think such a platform exists.

I don’t use Facebook or Twitter but after reading Facebooks privacy policy. It appears to me, that by agreeing to it, you give Zucky full reign to give or offer any of your data to anyone.

Oh Amanda – conservatives really love whataboutism.

They never just attack their own for wrong doing – it’s always what about Obama or what about Hillary or what about George W. Bush or what about Kennedy.

As much as you are in love with Trump, how about you show some objectivity.
