Taking on Alberta’s government and media bullies (Guest host: Sheila Gunn Reid)

Faith GoldyArchive

(Sheila Gunn Reid guest hosts for Faith Goldy:) A charity golf tournament organized by a local oilmen’s group features a light hearted protest sign

Students who want to show a video that expresses another side of an issue send an email invite that includes a cheeky catch phrase.

A group of farmers, rig hands and frustrated Albertans from all stripes blow off a little steam on a Saturday afternoon at a family rally.

What do all these regular people doing normal things have in common?

They have had their personal reputations put through the wringer, first by their government and then by the media.

There’s a new phenomenon happening, and it’s like nothing I have ever seen before here in Alberta:

The government and their media enablers are coming after normal folks who dare to speak truth to power. It’s a new culture of “shut-uppery” that attacks anyone who disagrees with the NDP, and I have had enough.

Tonight, it’s a special Alberta based “On the Hunt,” where I take on the bullies in the NDP government and their media party shock troops.

Then Wildrose MLA Derek Fildebrandt joins me to talk about all the news from under the Legislature dome in Edmonton, the Conservative Leadership race and how the Conservative movement can appeal to younger voters.

PLUS I have a exclusive news to share about a new project I’m working on, and a special Easter edition of your “Quote of Honour.”

If Derek Fildebrandt led the Wildrose ……
I can think of a few people to send your new book to Sheila.
Great show.

Thanks Sheila. In difference to MLA Derek Fildebrandt, us old conservatives are still relevant. While I agree that we must appeal to younger voters, we oldster still remember a Canada that held our Canadian values to heart if not sacred. Most importantly we remember a Canada without the political correctness culture that is ruining this country and being used by politician and libtards to sell us out. The younger voters we need, were raised in this culture and that must be taken into consideration. They need and deserve a voice in this country and find the courage to stand up to the libtards and snowflakes peers who for now are speaking on their behalf. As for the rest of Canadians too many are afraid to speak up in fear of offending the politicly correct masses. If they truly love this country they need to remember that if you are afraid to offend someone then they already control you. Look around need I say more.

So nice to see you do a full show SGR. Great show!
I think Rachel Notley should focus more on the colours RED & BLACK, instead of PINK! In other words, bring the Alberta economy back to black & out of the red.

- Political correctness was designed specifically to shut down any opposition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrt6msZmU7Y&t=3s

- Leftists are always talking about transparency when in opposition. That goes out the window when they form a government.

- The CPC needs a Conservative leader. Look to the Ontario PCs to see what happens when you elect a leader who is nothing more than a watered down Liberal. It’s kept the Liberals in power since 2003 & will likely hand them the next election as well. I’m supporting Kellie Leitch for leader of the CPC – there are some others I wouldn’t be too sad to se win but if O’Leary or Chong were to win expect another Liberal win next election.

That monologue that Ezra did in regards to the lock her up rally, should be shown to everybody. Ezra was absolutely right in that the politicians that should be standing up for the conservatives, let us all down.

Good job Sheila!
Snarky is a good thing when it comes to Notley.
Congrats on your new book, hope it becomes a best seller.

Sheila – I really do love your “snark”!!
I think it’s time for Alberta & Canada to adopt some new laws – laws regulating the IQ level & Liberty & Economic sensibilities of any political hopefuls. It’d been painfully apparent that Nutley, TruDope, & Wynnie Wynne have an IQ less than their shoe size. …and a propensity to being big bullies like no other.
Oh! FYI – Nutley & TruDopes photo caricature makes for some very satisfying target practice! Many Albertans have found this practice alleviates the need for Prozac or heavy doses of rye!!

How can these people be in charge?
We’re not praying enough.
God bless Canada. Happy Easter. Christ is risen. Hallelujah.
Except for Judas

A very decent first show as a guest host Ms. G-R.

While I very much respect Mr. Jean and Mr. Kenney for the work they have done, as an old guy, I do hope Mr. Fildebrandt runs for the leadership of the potential united party. I think he has the moral clarity needed to lead the right and attract the youth vote. A good interview in this show to demonstrate that, but also when he slammed The NDP in the legislature for following Wynne’s failed policies with Wynne sitting there…that was clarity, when other ‘conservatives’ ducked and hid.

Fildebrandt for our next Premier.
