What Quebec mosque attack means for free speech

Faith GoldyArchive

Is the CBC doing the Liberal government's bidding? I break down how their coverage of the Quebec mosque attack hints at a larger campaign to ready Canadians for a limitation to their most sacred right to free speech.

Then MP Garnett Genius joins me to talk about his formal complaint to the CBC Ombudsman about one of our state broadcaster's most cringeworthy recent pieces!

Plus: We've got your weekly top headline and Quote of Honour!

Glenn Craig: I take it that your comment about not one Muslim in the world being gay was sarcasm. I hope that it was. There are enough reports around to indicate that homosexuality is definitely existent in the world’s Muslim population. Who is ISIS throwing off buildings? I have also read reports about what goes on at truck stops in, I think it was, Pakistan.
Thank you for that info, Gilles. It will be interesting to see what comes from this, if it ever surfaces. If it is true, there will be some VERY embarrassed faces having to answer some difficult questions. But I guess the Liberals, Muslims, and MSM will all put some twist on it all that will exonerate them in the eyes of most brain-dead Canadians.

Faith, you’re so brilliant and i appreciate your take on those issues, but would you talk a bit slower so that we could grasp all the details of your analysis…thank you rebel!!

@gilles Mercier…thank you Gilles I do speak french and that was very enlightening. Please note that there is an estimated 1,250.000,000 moslems in the world and not one of them is gay.

What he talk about is that one serious leak or info that he has receive is about a love affair between bissonette and the son of one of the person kill in the mosque . He was in love (gay ) with a man but the father of this man didn’t like this an force his son to quit Bissonnette . Liza Rosie,

Subscribers have zero baring on facts that are provided. Is that how you determine if a media source is accurate or not or reputable – by how popular it is? Canadland is more of a media watchdog than a daily news source.

In case you didn’t know, it was Jesse Brown that broke the whole Jian Ghomeshi scandal – pretty damn high profile in Canada. Not to mention that your lord and savior Ezra Levant has used Canadaland as a source himself and has even been interviewed by Jesse Brown.

If Canadaland is good enough for Ezra, certainly Canadland should be good enough for you – unless you choose to remain ignorant and in denial if anyone speaks badly about The Rebel.

Enjoy this interview with Ezra:

The question asked to Mr. Genuis regarding M103 needs to be asked of every ‘conservative’ M/P, particularly the leadership candidates.

I have never been in any political camp consistently, but the one camp I have been in is free speech. Currently, I thought that was the C.P.C. and the W/R in Alberta.

I said times before, the doctrine I’m leaning to is the true Fremen of the Land. Not the fake Fremen, who use it to try and screw others out of rent, etc., but true natural law. Those 10 commandments were pretty simple until the political elites decided to codify them. Then Christ’s simplification to His two laws was even better, until got ahold of by bureaucratic elites of established churches.

Back to simple basics, and willingness to protect those basics.

The God of the Bible and Christians has a son who came to earth as a man and then returned to heaven to take his place at the right hand of God. His name is Jesus the Christ (the messiah). To become a Muslim one has to deny that Jesus is God’s son. How can they possibly be the same God. What Jesus told the Pharisees could also be said to the Muslims when he told them that they served the devil.

Yup, Liza, excellent reply to Jack. He just blathers on and on.

- The job of the CBC is the same as that of Pravda in the Soviet Union or any government mouthpiece in any dictatorship. The CBC needs to be defunded. Shutting down the Rebel won’t be an easy task for these elitist parasites. The Rebel has a bigger audience & it’ll be hard for the Liberals to pretend they’re anything more than petty despots.

Sharia creep is on a slippery slope in Canada. Give them an inch they take a mile. The demands will never stop until Canada is a full on Islamic country. Except that won’t happen completely because Justin is getting the bums rush very soon. There will be tons of damage done but the damage won’t be complete.
Ya know why?
Because Conservatism is the NEW Counter-Culture, and the pendulum is swinging back into our court. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avb8cwOgVQ8 Paul Joseph Watson
The left are shrivelling up in basements across the country. A Darwin’s law dream come true. Justin’s days are numbered in this country and sanity will prevail.

Peter Netterville,

You refuse to listen to Jesse Brown, because you choose to remain ignorant.

Obviously if you did listen to the factual proof that is provided, The Rebel and Faith will look bad and you will look like the idiot that you are. You cannot have that, so better to bullshit and play these back and forth games instead of maybe learning something for once and realizing that maybe The Rebel isn’t the best source for the truth.

Oh well. If you enjoy being ignorant and a mindless sheep – don’t let me stop you.

Ron said, “you are saying that “they”, Kenney, and presumably Genius as well, do not believe that Muslims and Roman Catholics worship the same God.”

No, I do not know what Kenny or Genius say on any subject and I would not presume to interpret what their beliefs are on any subject.

All I am saying is that the God of the Bible and the god of the Koran are not the same.
commented 2017-02-10 14:12:11 -0500
I know Kenny is a passionate advocate of multiculturalism. Why doesn’t he consider living in Europe where he could experience all the diversity he wants. Close enough to the middle east when he wants to hop over for a dose of Islam.
I have no doubt that Kenny and many others may take offense to my comment but I feel it is a balanced sentiment in response to Kenny’s comments which were an insult to more Canadian Christian and non Christian, than he would be willing to admit.
commented 2017-02-10 14:03:31 -0500
When I read that comment of Jason Kenny’s I was gobsmacked, but not really surprised. I want to assume these politicians are ill informed, don’t go the extra mile to research Islam. However I suspect that politicians are so focused on their own agenda that letting a little thing like the truth about Islam or ruining the country with mass immigration, is but a mere detail. An aggravation to be pushed against, either with persistent dismissal or by law if need be. I too thought Garnet Genius did not answer the question. To ignorance of the facts and dismissal of the facts, I would like to add, fear of acknowledging the facts. The fear of being labelled a racist, xenophobe, Islamophobe or white supremacist nationalist is another excuse for their inaction or correct action from those we thought we could count on.

If our politicians weren’t making decisions based on one or more of these flaws, we wouldn’t be talking about religious blasphemy laws, accommodating prayer rooms in schools, allowing identity masking face coverings and full body burkas on our streets, banks, and establishments not to mention sexual emergencies in pools and school yards. Why are Canadians being forced to accommodate one ‘religion’ (theocracy)above all others. Why are Canadians already second class citizens in their own country?

I agree that Trump will be polite, but unlike our politicians he respects the threat, and he will have no respect for Canada, as we exhibit no common sense regarding Islam. Therefore we pose a threat to America and indeed the western world. Canada is shirking it’s responsibility.

PETER NETTERVILLE commented, “No. The Muslims may think they do, but they do not.” With respect to “they do not”, if I I understand correctly, you are saying that “they”, Kenney, and presumably Genius as well, do not believe that Muslims and Roman Catholics worship the same God. I would like to share a Statement made by Kenney in the aftermath of the shooting at the Quebec mosque:
His Statement, knowingly or unknowingly (I hope the latter) contains misleading information that will deceive people. He cites a segment of a verse (5:32) from the Koran, namely, “whoever kills a soul… is like one who killed the whole of mankind”, which he describe as a “teaching”, according to which, would be construed that Muslims are ‘taught’ that Islam generally condemns violence. However, that is NOT what that verse ‘teaches’, if one considers the whole verse (5:32) and subsequent verse (5:33) as explained by Robert Spencer (Jihad Watch) commenting on such misrepresentation (deceit) by Obama:
Note that this is not a general moral principle (a “teaching”) applying to Muslims, but one ONLY for the Children of Israel, the Jews. Nor is it is not a general prohibition of killing. That phrase was plucked out of context to convey a false meaning. That verse applies to Jews and in the subsequent verse (5:33) in the Koran specifies the punishment for Jews (that is, “transgressors”) who do not abide by verse 5:32. Therefore, this passage is explaining what must be done with Jews who reject Muhammad, not dictating lofty moral principles.
Furthermore, Kenney makes reference to the murderer having “sought out peaceful Muslims, shooting them in the back while they were praying to God in a sacred place of worship”. Praying to God?
Finally, he refers to those murdered as being “martyrs for their faith” and offered up a strange prayer, “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon them.” Through Googling, I found that that prayer was a Prayer for the Poor Souls in Purgatory, that is, Kenney is presumably preaching salvation for the Muslims who were ‘martyred’ for their faith.

In the Koran it says believers may lie to non believers. That about sums it up. Trudope your an idiot.

So, am I going to be targeted by either Muslims or the government for that last comment?
commented 2017-02-10 12:52:49 -0500
Ron asked, “Again, I ask, does Mr. Genius believe, like Jason Kenney, another Roman Catholic and former Immigration Minister in the Harper government, that Muslims and Roman Catholics worship the same God?””

No. The Muslims may think they do, but they do not.

The Koran and the Bible are diametrically opposite to each other. The Koran teaches hate and death to all that do not believe in the Koran

The Bible teaches love and life to all people. Christians are not to kill, they are to “turn the other cheek” … “love your enemy”. Precisely opposite.

Who is opposite to the God of the Bible? That is who the Muslims worship.

Friends, I still agree with DONALD ALLAN that "responding to these drones which I think diminishes the overall effectiveness of this site”. I can understand how one can be annoyed by their inane posts and thereby feel compelled to answer. However, a troll being a troll does not “actually want a debate”, but laughingly to just deflect the conversation, to "diminish the overall effectiveness of this site”.
With respect to “it can become an echo chamber in here. Booooorrrrring!” for Rebel supporters. Not so for me! I value the perspectives provided (including the humour) and the provision of beneficial information that I was not aware of (including links to good videos and articles), which help to to keep our “tools sharp”.
I come back, what say you Rebel supporters (don’t care what the troll has to say) to my previous post?: “According to Wikipedia, Mr. Genius is a Roman Catholic. Again, I ask, does Mr. Genius believe, like Jason Kenney, another Roman Catholic and former Immigration Minister in the Harper government, that Muslims and Roman Catholics worship the same God?”

Jack Carter proves my argument in accusing me and defaming me instead of making counter argument to my argument – which was ignored for a slanderous response.

I listened to your screed and I responded with a valid argument – IE Goldy/Rebel are not exploitive but investigative and the facts on this case as we know them back that argument up. The exploitaing is ocrring with anyone attempting to make this a “terrorism” or “Islamophobic” case before the motive is revealed. The charges revel the motive was neither terrorism nor hate, but criminal intent. All the finger pointing and factional accusatory rhetoric do not change the facts or invalidate any argument based in the facts.

Yet the only come back you have is a slander – that is not an argument. You have none. Therefore it is you who are ignorant.

Jack Carter said in his original comment, “Jesse Brown just called you out for the liar that you are.”

Jack recently said to me, "If I was personally calling Faith a liar, then I could see your point, "

Clearly you were agreeing with Jesse Brown, so yes, you are calling Faith a liar.

No Jack, I am not trying to deflect. I am trying you to think for yourself rather than just agree with Jesse.

This is the problem with the left/socialists like you. Someone says something and you all just echo it without look up the veracity of the person’s comment. The original comment takes on a life of its own.

If you provide the video and/or text proof that Faith has lied, then I will look at that, but I refuse to look at Jesse’s video because that is just you echoing what someone else said. And enough said on my part. You are not interested in proving your accusation.

I guess Donald Allan and Ron Voss are correct.
