If you got all your information about world events from the fake news pedlars in the mainstream media, you might believe that Israel is a heavy-handed bully, targeting innocent Gazan protestors for death and brutality.
That’s because the formulaic fake news we are force-fed every day was tested and then perfected on the State of Israel. For example, the tactic of using narrative-forming deceptively edited videos, like the one that painted the Covington Catholic High School boys as smug aggressors, was born in "Pallywood" — the Palestinian propaganda industry.
Thankfully, with the ease of social media communication, it’s getting easier and easier to debunk the lies, not only about Israel but about everything the mainstream media wants you to believe. We can now hear on Twitter from Israelis in their bomb shelters in real time, as they spend night after night, huddled with their families as hundreds of Hamas rockets rain down.
But the ability to use social media to bust narratives and tell the other side of the story is exactly why social media giants, like Google, Facebook, and Twitter, are now silencing and purging the truth tellers on their platforms.
My guest knows a bit about all of this:
He suspects he had his pro-Israel facebook page deleted because he supports Tommy Robinson.
Joining me from his home in Tel Aviv is British-Israeli blogger and activist, Brian of London.
