What is Premium Content?

Answer

Premium Content is a subscription service which gives you access to our TV-style shows and featured content:

We offer three types of membership plans:

1. Monthly Plan: Get full access to all Premium Content - for only $8 a month. 

2. Yearly Plan: Get full access to all Premium Content - for an annual fee of $80 a year - that's the equivalent of 2 months free!

3. The Producer's Club: Get full access to all Premium Content for a year as well as amazing extras like private get-togethers in cities like Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa. A special welcome gift, and a wallet-sized producers club membership card. Even discounts on special Rebel merchandise. All for only $250 a year.

Please note that we do not send Premium Content videos by email. To access our content simply log into your account and select the video you would like to watch. For details on accessing Premium Content videos please click here.

How do I subscribe to Premium Content on The Rebel?

Please note that third party cookies must be enabled in order to subscribe.

Please check that cookies are enabled before beginning. If you need help checking this please email support@therebel.media with your internet browser type and device.

Steps for first time subscribers:

To subscribe go to any Rebel page with Premium Content or to the shows page.

 1. Click Subscribe.

 2. Choose your plan and click Select.

3. Enter your full name, email address, and create a password. You will use this email and password for the future to sign in to Premium Content. Passwords must be 8 characters. Click Next.

*If the information entered clears itself please make sure that third party cookies are enabled in your internet browser.

 4. Enter your credit card number and expiry date. CVC is the series of three numbers on the back of your VISA or MasterCard or four numbers on the front of an American Express card. Coupon can be left blank unless you have a promotional code from us. Click Pay.

What is CVC and coupon code?

Answer

CVC is the three numbers on the back of a credit card.

You do not need to input a coupon code to subscribe, that section can be left blank. It's for promotions that the Rebel may launch.

How do I use a coupon code?

Answer

Please note that third party cookies must be enabled in order to subscribe. Please check that cookies are enabled before beginning. If you need help checking this please email support@therebel.media with your internet browser type and device.

To use a coupon code from us please follow the steps below:

Go to the  Subscribe page here.

Click Subscribe.

Select the appropriate plan type. Please refer to the code details for what the coupon can be applied to.

Create an account by entering you full name, email address, and a password. Passwords must be at least 8 characters. Make sure that you have entered your details correctly. If there is a typo in your email address you will not be able to access your account.

Enter your credit card number, expiry date, and CVV or CVC. This can be found on the back of your Visa or MasterCard, and on the front of your American Express.

Enter the coupon code into the box that says Coupon.

Be sure to type the code as it was given to you. If it was listed in all capital letters for example, it must be entered the same way. If the coupon is invalid you will get an error message. Otherwise click Pay. The coupon will not be applied until clicking Pay.

You should receive a confirmation message of your subscription completion. Click OK.

You should now get a an email from subscriptions@therebel.media with your receipt. 

 

How do I resubscribe to Premium Content?

I had a Premium Content subscription but it is no longer active. How can I resubscribe?

Answer

To resubscribe sign into your account on the My Account page here.

Can I pay for Premium Content by PayPal?

Answer

Premium Content is played on a video player system called Zype which uses a credit card processor called Stripe. 

Stripe is a trusted and secure credit card processor used by thousands of businesses around the globe. 

Zype is not compatible with PayPal. 

Can I pay for Premium Content by cheque? 

Answer

We can accept cheques for annual or Producers Club Premium Content subscriptions. We are unable to accept cheques as payment for monthly subscriptions.

Please put "Premium Content" in the memo section. Please accompany cheques with a note listing your name, address, phone number and email address. 

*Cheques sent without an email address and a request for a subscription will be processed a a general donation. In order to create a subscription for you we MUST have your email address. Once your information has been received we will email you with a temporary password. 

What is the Producers Club?

Answer

If you are a super fan join our Producers Club for $250 a year. That gives you access to all of our Premium Content shows plus extras — private get-togethers in cities like Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa. You also get a special welcome gift, a wallet-sized Producers Club membership card, and discounts on special Rebel merchandise.

How do I sign into my Premium Content account?

Answer

You can sign into your Premium Content Account by going to the My Account page here.

Enter your email address and password where you see this box:

If you need to reset your password click the forgot password link below the sign in box. If the information you enter clears after clicking sign in, make sure that third party cookies are enabled in your internet browser.

 

I am unable to sign into my Premium Content account

Answer

Premium Content memberships are separate from a free Rebel account.

To sign into your free Rebel account click here.

To sign into your Premium Content account click here and click Sign In. 

Use the login information you used to subscribe to Premium Content. In order to view Premium Content you must be a paid subscriber. If you have forgotten your password you can click the Forgot Password link below the sign in box.

Third party cookies MUST be enabled in order to sign in or play our Premium Content videos. For steps on checking this type "enable third party cookies" into your search engine as well as your internet browser - for example "Mozilla Firefox".

If you still need assistance ensuring that cookies are on, email support@therebel.media. Please mention which internet browser and device you are using. 

Where can I watch Premium Content?

Answer

Premium Content can be found on our website by clicking the Rebel Shows tab at the top left of the page. 

All of our current, upcoming, and archived show pages can be accessed here.

Click on which show you would like to watch - for example The Ezra Levant Show. 

The episodes of that show will be listed in date order. Select which episode you would like to watch.

If you are already signed in, the episode will begin playing automatically. If you are not signed in, a sign in box will appear on the video screen to sign into.

You can also sign in on the My Account page here. 

To access your account information, or to watch our Premium Content videos, you must be signed in. Otherwise you can browse our site freely. If you would like to check if you are signed in, or if you would like to sign out click the My Account tab at the top right of the page.

You can watch Premium Content on most computers or mobile devices. 

Some older versions of internet browsers are not supported by our video player. You may need to update your internet browser to the newest version in order to play our videos. Older operating systems such as Windows 7 will not support certain internet browsers. For a list of which internet browsers and operating systems we support click here.

In order to subscribe, sign in, or play our video, third party cookies must be enabled. If you need help doing this please email support@therebel.media.

How can I watch Premium Content on my Smart TV?

Answer

We currently have an Apple TV app and Roku app.

You can also stream the internet from your computer to your TV using a Google Chromecast.

Why isn't the video playing?

Answer

Premium Content videos can be played on most devices, however we do have system requirements.

Most often video playback issues can be solved with one the following steps: 

1. Make sure that third-party cookies are enabled in whichever internet browser you are using.

Cookies must be enabled to use our website. 

2. Clear the cache and cookies. 

3. Try watching our video in a different internet browser to see if the same error occurs.

Internet Explorer users please try another browser as Internet Explorer is outdated which will cause videos to play poorly. Again, cookies must be enabled in your browser. We cannot guarantee service in Internet Explorer.  

4. Update your internet browser to the newest version. Restart the internet browser (and computer if prompted) and try playing the video again.

5. Try watching the video with the lowest quality resolution. You can adjust this by clicking the settings icon on the bottom right of the video and selecting 240p.

Click here to run a speed test to make sure you have enough bandwidth to support streaming. 

Video streaming typically requires around 500 kbps for low quality, 3 mbsp for medium quality, and 5 mbsp for high quality. 

*Instructions for these steps can be found online by searching for the instructions specific to your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.)

*Our video player does not support the use of VPN.

Who can I contact for help with my Premium Content membership?

No playable sources found?

Answer

If you are using FireFox you may get the error message "Error loading player: No playable sources found."

In that case simply download flash player by going here, https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and then restart FireFox once the download is complete. 

This could also be caused by Flash being disabled in Firefox.

To check if Shockwave Flash is disabled on FireFox, please follow the steps below.

1. Go to the FireFox Menu 
2. Navigate to "Add-ons" 
3. Select "Plugins" on the right hand menu 
4. For "Shockwave Flash" make sure the right drop-box is set to "Always Activate"

This will enable Flash. Please refresh the page and the video should now be playing.

If it does not play, Flash may need to be re-installed.

Is there a phone number that I can call for assistance?

You cannot post comments from your Premium Content account as commenting is not exclusively available to paid subscribers.

What are the rules for posting comments?

Comment Rules

Unlike some websites that preview comments before they are posted, we rely on you the reader to let us know when a comment is offensive or inappropriate in some way.

You can do that by clicking on the "Flag This Comment" link, which is just below and to the right of each comment. Flagged comments go into a queue that is then reviewed by an editor, who decides whether the comment should be removed or not.

Reviewing all of the flagged comments on The Rebel website can take some time, so comments may not be removed immediately.

In some cases, the editor may decide that the comment doesn't breach our terms and conditions, and will allow the comment to remain.

Our rules are as follows:

  1. No threatening language.
  2. No profanity.
  3. No spam.
  4. No personal attacks on each other.

Commenting is a free service and unrelated to Premium Content subscriptions. To create a free account or sign into your free account click here.

In addition to the donations we receive to the keep The Rebel going strong, we also raise money for causes we feel passionately about. 

Contribution Policy

1. To respect and maintain privacy we will not disclose personal information about our donors.

2. Surplus funds raised for specific initiatives will be used for other costs associated with that particular project, such as website development, website hosting, mail, and other such expenses. Additional funds will be used towards other similar initiatives in the future.

3. Please note that contributions are not tax deductible. 

What is your refund policy?

You will not be charged a fee for a Service unless you subscribe to that Service. You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence to subscribe to a Service.

The Rebel Media does not guarantee service on all devices. Please note that third party cookies must be enabled in order to access Premium Content. For a list of internet browsers and operating systems supported, and necessary bandwidth requirements please click here.We offer mobile apps for iOS versions 10 and above, and for Android 7 and above. We offer Smart TV apps for Apple TV and Roku.

The Rebel Media makes no guarantee as to the availability of any particular episode or content on The Rebel Media, the total number of episodes or amount of content to be broadcast. Talent is subject to change without notice. The Rebel Media is not responsible for views expressed by any of our talent.

The fees for Service (plus any applicable taxes or other additional charges, such as administration, transaction or access fees), accepted methods of payment and accepted frequencies of billing (such as one-time, every four weeks, monthly or annually) will be specified at the time of subscription. All fees, unless otherwise specified, are in Canadian dollars.

If you purchase a periodic subscription to a Service, your subscription will continue until it is cancelled.


Promotional code:

When using a promotional code to subscribe to Premium Content at a discounted price, the discount applies only during the initial subscription period and does not apply to renewal periods. All renewals will be charged at the then-current subscription price.

Monthly subscription:

Monthly subscriptions will automatically renew every fourth week commencing from your purchase date. You must cancel your subscription before the renewal date to prevent the next charge to your credit card.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancelling your monthly subscription:

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time by emailing support@therebel.media, or by signing into your account on the My Account page and clicking Cancel Subscription. When cancelling in your account settings, you will lose access to your subscription immediately.

All charges for monthly subscriptions are non-refundable.

Yearly subscription:

Your yearly subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription year commencing from your purchase date. You must cancel your subscription before the renewal date to prevent the next charge to your credit card.

Canceling your yearly subscription:

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time by emailing support@therebel.media, or by signing into your account on the My Account page and clicking Cancel Subscription. When cancelling in your account settings you will lose access to your subscription immediately rather than at the period end.

All charges for annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
