Liberal MP Sherry Romanado, struggled to hold back tears in the House of Commons the other day as she shared the details of a traumatic incident she suffered.
Apparently, Conservative MP James Bezan uttered something so toxic, so misogynistic, that it has negatively affected Ms. Romanado’s work environment.
Goodness! Is there a Harvey Weinstein-wannabe haunting Parliament Hill? What did the cad say?
Actually, he made a partisan double-entendre quip that was at worst a joke in bad taste, but somehow the remark left Romanado believing she had been sexually assaulted.
On that day of infamy back in May, Bezan suspected he might have said something insulting to Romanado given the icy look on her face, so he apologized - five times so far, and has taken a sensitivity course.
But it isn’t good enough. Romanado remains shaken to her core some seven months later.
Yet there’s a bizarre epilogue to this story in the department of stones and glass houses as some past social media posts have surfaced that show the uber-fragile Romanado is not beyond using some racy language herself, especially when it comes to overweight people.
The sensitive Liberal snowflake who melts at the mention of a double-entendre, takes immense glee in mocking people who struggle with weight issues.
