FEED OUR TROOPS: Help raise $10,000 to give to the Christmas Hamper for soldiers at CFB Borden

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Cheque delivered to veterans charity Grow Calgary

December 20, 2018: That old saying, “better late than never” comes to mind in the Rebel’s year-long quest to find a military charity that would gratefully receive the generous donations of Rebel viewers. Watch as David shares a gratifying “mission accomplished” cheque drop off to a veterans-focused charity, “Grow Calgary.”

UPDATE: Bureaucrats “fret” over Rebel’s charitable donation to military families

December 3, 2018: Around this time last year, Rebel’s crowdfunded donations to military families in need was rejected by CFB Borden. We suspected political interference and now we have the freedom of information documents to prove it. Watch as I share some of what we found in the over 100 documents we received.

UPDATE: Another charity accepts than rejects our donation for "mysterious" reasons

April 4, 2018: After CFB Borden refused to accept funds Rebel viewers raised to support military families, we tried to deliver the funds to Canada Company but were rejected again. Why? Watch as David explains what he thinks is behind the rejected donation and what we plan to do about it. Sign the petition!

Do you know how badly Justin Trudeau is treating our Canadian Armed Forces?

A story was published in an official publication of the Canadian Forces Base in Borden, Ontario. The story is called "Seasonal Sharing Basket Campaign”.

Here's the first sentence:

It is once again that time of year with the colder temperatures and the kids back in school, the base will be kicking off this year’s Seasonal Sharing Basket (SSB) Campaign for 2017.

That sounds great — our soldiers give so much to us, and now they’re even giving to Christmas hampers for the poor. Amazing. But read the next sentence:

The goal of the SSB campaign is to assist those members of the CFB Borden Defence Team, residing within the confines of CFB Borden and local area, who are experiencing a time of need during the holiday season. The privacy and confidentiality of individuals utilizing the support provided by the SSB will be respected. Individuals in need of support and interested in further details can speak with their unit Padre.

So this isn’t to help some strangers down at the homeless shelter. This is to help CFB soldiers who are so poor, they literally can’t afford to feed their families.

Justin Trudeau pays our soldiers so little that they are forced to ask for charity.

Trudeau just gave $10.5 million dollars to Omar Khadr, a convicted Al Qaida terrorist, who murdered a soldier. But Trudeau won’t even pay our troops enough to feed their families. Trudeau has social programs to help ISIS terrorists coming back to Canada — with art, and poetry — Trudeau’s got millions for Islamic terrorists, but not enough for our troops to feed their families.

So we want to raise $10,000  for the CFB Borden food hamper. Please donate here

Justin Trudeau hates our troops. He’s pushing them into poverty, while making terrorists into millionaires.

But let’s you and me do the right thing — let’s give to the Christmas Hamper for soldiers at CFB Borden.

Space Moose, “pretty sure”!
Quite mewling already and send your complaints to Ezra directly!

Fraser McBurney – thanks for the update. The campaign greatly exceeded the goal, well done Rebels!

I am pretty sure the admin staff of the rebel read the comments.

Space Moose, did you not use an e-mail address to get a screen name and the ability to post comments?
Take Liza’s advice and get help. I too think it’s preferable for you to send your administration complaints to Ezra directly; posting them here is pitiful. Nothing more than mewling…

Don’t be deceived by the petitions. THey are only there to promote the website and to get your email address for fund raising.
commented 2017-12-13 17:15:10 -0500
Space Moose, just because you don’t like petitions won’t make them stop. There will be more, and you can either continue to bitch about it or you can walk away, which is what we all wish you would do. The petitions are for causes which are important to many people and by your hijacking every blessed one you disrespect the cause and the people who support it. If you have issues with administration or with Ezra why don’t you send private emails? Incessantly complaining here just makes you look like an attention seeker, a drama queen. Then you end up being the recipient of stern comments. Is that it, do you welcome the abuse?

Comments like this, “I am going to bed now. I hope god will take me in my sleep.” Can only have one of two meanings. Which is it? You have admitted you were not in the military. and would never be in the military. You say you have PTSD. If you are being authentic with that comment then seek help. It does sound as though you could use some guidance. Go get it.

That’s what I thought Moose. Revert to your default position and argue nonsense. You have no credibility in my opinion. None.

My repetition of petitions is just a mirror of the petition requests here at the rebel.

As for Ezra, there are some things I agree with him on, and some that I don’t. I typically agree with Ezra when it comes to his opinions on things related to the news. I disagree with Ezra when it comes to how he runs his business.

And I was never in the military. God forbid.

Space Moose I posted what I did without seeing your last post. I meant what I said about your previous posts on this page and Rebel/Ezra bashing. However your comment below is one that I would never mock. Not that I agree. If you do have ptsd, can I surmise that it is not from a stint in the military?
commented 2017-12-13 03:12:22 -0500
Space Moose you are a bloody drama queen, Have you got your attention fix for the night? There is a term for people like you, I mean aside from, drama queen.‘Wrecker’ you are a wrecker, so is Jay Kelly but in a different way. If you are unhinged you should seek help somewhere else, You are just repeating yourself here. I doubt it is doing you any good. Your misery is your comfort, and sharing it is what you seem to love to do.
We don’t care if you don’t like petitions or about any of the other things you obsess about and repeat and rehash and regurgitate .We don’t care about your suppositions.

Why look, Drew only posted two consecutive posts, as opposed to his usual three or four in a row. Military is only an essential service when you need it. If we ever get invaded, then I will say we need to have a standing military. Besides, we live in Canada. We can always pay the AMericans or mercenaries if we need it. Canada needs to adopt a neutral or non interventionist stance. We don’t need to be blowing money on what is happening half way around the world. It is not essential, so therefore, I don’t think raises are due. I would be perfectly content if our military is limited to coastal patrol.

I do indeed have PTSD. It also turns out that I don’t have to or want to give you any proof of my medical condition. You can believe me if you want. I have no idea why you are so fixated on it.

False statements Jay Kelly, false and untrue. I think they call it defamation. You might want to stop it now.
commented 2017-12-13 02:23:00 -0500
Space Moose. I am calling you a liar on your statement that you have PTSD. Provide some details of your symptoms and what treatments you are receiving. Hurry, you are on the clock now.
commented 2017-12-13 02:11:12 -0500
Space Moose what if no one bothered to join anymore and the time came that you needed their help, not just as fighters , but for disaster services, and no one showed up to help?
commented 2017-12-13 02:09:56 -0500
Space Moose why shouldn’t they? They have been stripped of other benefits while lazy government hacks have not.
commented 2017-12-13 01:57:36 -0500
And just what am I lying about?

I don’t think the military should get a raise. You are forgetting conservative principles 101. Higher government employee pay equals higher taxes.

If you want to donate your own money or a can of turkey, then that is fine. But don’t expect me to want to fork over any of my tax dollars.

It is the Privates who truly deserve a pay raise to match their work and commitment. Maybe then these food banks for military will turn into food hampers from the military. It can be done because it has been done in the past but sometimes the big boys and girls in Ottawa need to step out of their bubble and see what’s going on at the bottom level.

Space Moose. You are nothing more than an unhappy, whining, complaining, arguing, bitter and twisted bullshiter. I bet you don’t have a friend in the world because nobody would put up that crap. Karma truly is a bitch ain’t it Moose.

Jay Kelly, once again you intentionally misunderstood the report!
Merry Christmas!
commented 2017-12-12 23:10:04 -0500
As I mentioned 24 hours ago, Ezra Levant should be ashamed. The men and women of CFB Base Borden have a pre-Christmas fundraising campaign to help out any families who may have special needs during this holiday season.

Across Canada such campaigns are held. It helps families who could really benefit from food and monetary donations at Christmas.

Also, at this time of year, people have a desire to help their neighbours in need.

How shameful that Ezra Levant singles out this particular fundraising campaign and makes it sound like the very organizers are trying to raise money for themselves. And he is accusing military families!

Shame, shame, shame. For the rest of us, a good reminder that if we charitably donate money or food we do not identify the recipients.

Space Moose, NDP Sucks called you on your claim, doing so doesn’t say squat about his true feelings about PTSD. I think you are a liar, it seems he does too.
commented 2017-12-12 20:50:52 -0500
I never asked you for a pledge. Nice to see how you truly feel about PTSD. I am sure your soldier buddies are thrilled to hear about it.
commented 2017-12-12 13:10:10 -0500
Why would you set up anything? Because of your perpetual whining and claim that you have PTSD. You seem to have a problem remembering your own BS which is part of your personality disorder. I withdraw my pledge as it is better in my pocket than yours.
commented 2017-12-12 11:45:28 -0500
Why would I set up anything? You can keep your one dollar. Sounds like you need it more than me.
commented 2017-12-12 10:26:55 -0500
Space Moose. Why don’t you set up a go fund me for yourself. You can probably use the Rebel as your platform as you have already stated you have PTSD. May I suggest you also get checked out for your personality disorder. You have my pledge of one dollar.

In case you have not noticed, news is always presented in hyperbole. So when I speak in hyperbole, it is meant to match the tone of the news, especially that of the rebel.

I think there is a lot of truth in what Caolan Robertson said. The only part that I disagree with him, is when he claimed that Ezra wanted to sue somebody into committing suicide. On that point, the only thing Ezra said was that he wanted to ruin that person’s life with a lawsuit. At a later point in time, Ezra did admit to firing Lauren Southern. He did not say why, but I think it has to do with the fund raising for the Iraq trip.

Ezra already makes enough money off me from you tube ads or the advertising that appears on this web site. I don’t need to go out of my way to donate to the rebel or any of their causes. The more you donate, the more incentive you give to the rebel to keep asking us for donations.
commented 2017-12-11 23:44:26 -0500
Ezra Levant should be ashamed.

The men and women who serve in our Armed Forces at Base Borden, Ontario, have a Christmas fundraising drive for Christmas hampers. They are hoping to gather food items but primarily cash to help families in need this Christmas.

There are many families in the area around the base who could genuinely use the help. There are also some military families who could use the help.

Ezra Levant is trying to make this a political issue.

Better to consider those who are actually in need of help this Christmas.
commented 2017-12-11 18:38:13 -0500
Space Moose said in part, “Being open about something does not mean you are doing the right thing. A killer who is open about having murdered somebody does not make them a better person.”

Another moronic post Moose.

“your rights” are you kidding!?

You believed Caolan concerning Lauren Southern, Wow! That lie was addressed by Eitan Gilboord some time ago. The video was not behind a paywall, guess you didn’t pay attention.

Anyway, your incessant mewling about petitions & causes is another indicator you are a very immature person, in addition to your hyperbolic posts.
