Finance Minister waffles on promise to keep deficits below $10B

Brian LilleyArchive

Get ready for even bigger deficits than promised by the Liberals.

Harper warned us about this, and he was right.

Just a modest deficit, the Liberals said, and only for three years, they said.

When Finance Minister Morneau was asked to confirm statements made about deficits during the election, he wouldn’t.

Instead, he said they were focused on growth and when Liberals say they’re focused on growth, what they really mean is, they’re focused on spending.

As for certainty and straight answers, it’s not likely we’ll get any. The only thing we can know for certain is that we’re all going to be paying for Liberal plans for a lot longer than expected.

He also cancelled his dinner date with anyone willing to give the Liberals cash. The most amusing thing is that the CBC reported it but did not allow comments! The bias of the Mother Corp continues!

The PBO is only a good thing when it criticizes those damn Conservatives, not us pure as the driven snow liberals. Kind of the same attitude expressed towards the AG in Ontario. Shoot the messenger until you get the the chance to replace it with one of your puppets. Forget about stifling science, how about stopping stifling truth and honesty. For a little levity

Actually, a couple weeks ago they already said the books were worse than expected, the economy is deteriorating, and they’ll have to spend more! You think it’s deteriorating, you think maybe it has anything to do with the provincial Lefty’s like Wynn and Notley?

golly gee beav, just how the hell did we get into this mess? was the campaign of hate in the last election that successful that the CBC actually brainwashed an entire nation. don’t tell ma or pa or we’ll really get in trouble.

Watch what CBC does with their new found wealth. The top 10 will receive huge bonuses in six figures for having done nothing other than prop up the Selfie PM. How anyone qualifies or receives a bonus as a crown corporate executive in a monopoly is mind boggling. (Their should be a law against crown corporation bonuses.) The only thing one needs to do is sing from the Liberal Mafia’s song book. All hail the Selfie PM.

In four years time Canadian’s should be asked again the same question Trudeau asked are we better off under Harper or the selfie PM? I’m betting we’ll be paying much more in taxes to prop up the criminal party of Canada (The Liberal Mafia party) This time it won’t be $250 million it going to much higher and I’m suggesting in the double digit billions. Our government bureaucracy will be bloated with more Liberal partisan employees all seeking their entitled entitlements. Corruption will expand in huge proportions as the bureaucracy will attempt at every turn to hide the truth and size of Liberal Mafia corruption. The Quebec and Ontario mafias will see the largest share of this corruption as these provinces are well known for their corrupt politicians and arrogance. Let’s hope we still have a Canada given our selfie PM has no life experience what so ever. Prancing around stating “Canada is back” is growing old fast as this clown has done nothing other than give himself fully funded day care and offer 3 billion to none other than the unelected corrupt UN. 7 billion more and we hit double digit. His sunny ways are nothing but optic and grand standing to say the least. Today’s throne speech will not be his as he’s incapable of putting a single sentence together let alone write a speech. Canada is in deep trouble.

By the time the next election is due, Canada will be so deep in debt that it will take fifty years to pay it off. The only people working will be card carrying Liberals. Muslims will be making a lot of money on Welfare, claiming four wives and fifty kids, to be paid for by the government. A bleak future indeed, for real Canadians.

Yup, right out of the gate we see the Liberal corruption machine spinning up. We are going to see corruption to a level that has never been seen before. And the CBC along with their puppy dog followers, the CTV will ignore every corruption if they can and what they cannot they will jump into full spin mode for their “king Justin”. The main stream media, especially the state media, in this country make me physically ill.

Thank you Brian, no surprise here but you only scratched the surface. The PBO reported Tuesday this week that the shortfalls in this years fiscal year (2015-2016) that were announced by the finance minister (“structural deficits” somewhere to the tune of $3.6B) were not corroborated by the PBO; in fact the PBO still projects a $1.2B surplus (thank you Mr. Harper), however it did state that the Liberals haven’t disclosed the source of there so-called structural-deficit, and thus the numbers “do not take into account the fiscal impact of any measures in the Liberal government’s election platform.” The PBO also states that the Liberal deficit spending will exceed the planned $10B per year for 2016-2017 (by $3.6B) and 2017-2018 ($6.9B) and 2018-2019 (by a whopping >$16B)! A total excess of at least $26.5 billion on top of the promised $30Billion in the same period, or almost DOUBLE what was promised. And it all starts with sending 300 delegates to the climate change summit, double the contingent sent by the USA (150) and triple that of the UK (100). I hope you’re able to update viewers with the PBO’s numbers, but thanks Brian for bringing this to light.

proving they are going to keep their promise and more…

No surprise. Lieberals always do the opposite of what they promised once in power. Higher deficits simply means a lot more entitled Lieberals out there with their hands out expecting their “entitled to their entitlements”!

A little deficit what could that hurt? Greece said the same thing but for some reason The media is strangely quite about how that country is fairing. People are so desperate in Greece that reports say the sex trade is flooded and people are selling themselves for the price of a sandwich to try and make ends meet.
The liberals better ban the NDP and carbon taxing if they don’t want to see the deficit grow. How will they quickly beat down debt if Alberta is no longer there to bail them out?

Have you forgotten Brian that soon after being elected the Libs were already doing damage control before their spending even started due to the fact that the cupboard was bare they said & therefore the deficits would be much higher like 12-13B in 2016-17 & 15-16B in 20118-19. Their low informed voters believed all this crap & now they are going to pay for it, but unfortunately, we all will because don’t you know Trudeau has nice hair so isn’t that a good enough reason to have voted for them.

Liberals will try, but it is impossible to spend out of a global deflationary depression.

Get ready for a 25% HST folks. And get ready for Ontario to default on its debt.

Now all the lefties who ranted about the deficits when Harper was in power will see them as a good thing and a sign of good governance on Shiny Ponies part of course.

Finance Minister Morneau, liar liar our economy is on fire (like burning out of control). Just watch our Canadian dollar continue to nose dive.
commented 2015-12-03 20:45:22 -0500
‘everyone was warned but listened to the media instead’, yeah they did, but they also listened to all of the LIES coming out of Turdeau’s mouth. His whole campaign was built on LIES, LIES and nothing but LIES. Which the media picked up and ran with.

Our Grandchildren will be paying for this governments debts. Remember all the money that could not be accounted for, the last time Liberals where in power. This time around, things will be a lot worse, they have all their Muslim friends to pay for. It is going to take years and years to pay for them this time.
commented 2015-12-03 18:50:30 -0500
Well obviously, the fact that the Liberals will not be able to keep the deficit below $10 billion is obviously Harper’s fault. Like DUH! Everything is Harper’s fault … unless it goes well, then it is all Justin’s doing.

When will the Liberals grow up?

Dear Diary;
I wish Gerald would hurry up with my lines for my speech from my throne because this nanny thing has taken legs. Even my best buds across the pond at the BBC have now reported that someone thinks I’m a hypocrite. At least they mentioned that I may have mentioned that I might possibly give my baby bonus cheque to charity. I’ll get a tax receipt for that, right?
I’ve told people that daddy raised us to step toward trouble rather than to step away from it. Well, so much for that crap. I’ve been laying low for a day or two now hoping for a whole pile of shit to blow over. And apparently it’s just all about me playing a little fast and loose with the truth. I mean, who doesn’t? It’s not only that pesky NannyGate business, but now Brian Lilley at The Rebel has not only spilled the beans about not balancing the deficits but now he’s let the cat out the bag by reporting that we’re having a hard time finding a few Syrians that want to come to Canada.
At least for now that idea Gerald had for McCallum to distract everyone by getting us to fret over a potential backlash is working like a charm. He’s putting out the notion that if Syrian refugees are pampered and given privileged treatment when Canadians are struggling for jobs themselves, it might cause divisiveness among Canadians. That should take the heat off me. I love it when a plan comes together.
