Firearms expert explains why Canadian gun owners should be VERY concerned

Brian LilleyArchive

The Speech from the Throne made some vague references to the government’s promises on guns but what do those promises really mean?

I thought it was time to have another discussion with Tony Bernardo, Executive Director of the Canadian Shooting Sports Association, to see what he made of Trudeau’s comments.

Listen to our interview to learn more about what gun owners can expect in the coming years and don’t forget to share.

The High River gun grab violated every Canadian's civil liberties, and must never be repeated.

I saw on the news last night that is was the anniversary of John Lennon’s death, and they played up the fact that 1, 400,000 people in the U.S. have been shot dead since the — as though that is some huge number.
Given the population of the U.S. that is actually a pretty small number, and hardly effects the overall life expectancy. One thing though, those shot dead are disproportionately foreigners like Lennon. It is one way to keep the population of nare-do-wells down, and Canada benefits from the trickle-down effect.

Nope, not gonna do it! Not this time. I played nice the last time and went along, got called all kinds of foul names by the left even after I went along. Was singled out as a criminal, along with every other fire arms owner in the country. This time, Trudeau and the far left can go pound sand up their back sides. I will not comply, I will not conform, I will not cooperate.

Why should I register any of my old long guns or new ones (since Feb. 17, 2012), it’s 2015 after all – right Justin?

Look, anybody concerned about firearms issues here, you have got to spread the following info far and wide and to everyone in Toronto and beyond: On Friday December 4th 2015, a Mercedes sedan which was involved in a minor collision – apparently with a guard rail – was discovered by police on Transit Road in Toronto, somewhere between Downsview and Wilson; the report from the scene documents that among other things, a MACHINE GUN, as well as more than one SILENCER, were found in the car. Also found in the car were what were reported to be ‘religious items,’ though allegedly more specifically: a Quran/Koran. Gun People of CANADA: since when is it legal here to own a full-automatic firearm, OR silencers? The point is: it doesn’t seem to matter that these items are totally illegal according to our laws – they are nevertheless possessed, clearly by criminals, who obviously have no regard for those same laws. What difference does it make then for the government to ‘crack down’ on or ‘hassle’ legitimate, law abiding, and properly licensed firearms owners, when the real danger and threat comes from people who are not going to be significantly impeded by whatever laws exist or will come to pass? And furthermore regarding this particular incident – why on earth is so much of the media reluctant to mention that one of the religious items found was a Koran? Is it because they don’t want good and decent citizens to have any misgivings about or pose any challenge to our government’s mandate to welcome 50000 mostly Muslim individuals into our country? A machine gun with a silencer was found in an abandoned car on a Friday morning – they didn’t find the criminal(s) who abandoned the car yet – who knows what they were planning for a Friday afternoon in downtown Toronto? Who knows what weapons these missing criminals took with them before ditching the Benz? They had silencers for heaven’s sake – maybe they made off with the rocket launcher and the grenades long before the police arrived! Where is the follow-up reporting of this story? What the hell is wrong with our society?!

Charles, very good idea, that is the choke point for the lefts war on guns. Didn’t obamie try the same thing to ban a certain type of ammo ?

Only a fool would register their guns.

My suggestion is to start stocking your ammunition now. This is the easiest point of entry for control measures by the socialists: heavy duties on ammo. Ammo is costly enough now, imagine a 10-20% tax on it.

It is my bet that this will be the first level of new controls. Taxes on Ammo is the easiest point of control and bans for Provincial and Civic Governments as well. Note that Toronto proposed a by-law to ban ammo from the city; I’m not sure if it was adopted though.

Stock up, and this Christmas give ammunition to your hunting and target friends.

Great sound your guess had the right equipment, but our stupid politicos, in Quebec, voted unanimously for that idiot union money pit, the gun registry, unions sre so happy , they will make millions $ with the army of functionaries trying to manage that leftist non-sense bureaucrat invention, but a group of feminist leftist with beard and a beaver in the arm pit will be satisfied.

The only way to get this country back is to break it up (peacefully and legally) and reconstitute it. Just look at what the RCMP did in Alberta, kicking down doors and confiscating firearms. They behaved like a police organization in a police state.Ontario? The OPP actively campaigned for Wynne so they are completely compromised , totally co-opted.
Sorry. No amount of logic or reason will prevail in the gun argument or the refugee argument. We have no independent media. They joined the left and are nothing more than another Ministry of the Government.
Just wait till the next election you say? Whats going to be left after four years , at either the Federal or Provincial levels.

Trudeau wants to keep guns out of the hands of the average citizen for his own useless safety. Further, he still wants to have his criminal and terrorist friends to have free access to weapons and, due to his own personal idiocy, to have them safe from any return fire from citizens defending themselves. After all, like Obama, he is out to hand Canada over to lawlessness and terrorism!

The only thing Canadian gun owners have to be concerned about is their own laziness. If it happens, it’s because you let it happen.

Trudeau and his Marxist friends at the UN want to take complete control of the population. This means that civilians with guns are problematic for them. They also do not like the thought of private citizens using Muslims for target practice. What killjoys they are.

FFS, Brian is doing yet another gun video?

Jay when did he allow private ownership of guns?

We could learn a lesson from Enver Hoxha who ruled Albania for 41 years and encouraged citizens to own firearms. Literacy soared, health indicators improved, and no foreigners invaded.

The PM’s primary duty, is the defense of this country, including it’s sovereignty. Attempting to sign it away, is a Breach of Trust, a chargeable offense!

Nothing would surprise me for the last 30 years these A holes have been making up firearms laws as they go and changing the rules when it suits them – there is no reliable linear interpretation and enforcement of lawful firearms regulatory law. It’s at a point now where we have to ask what’s the point in rigidly following laws which change on a whim, or more accurately government/police prejudice.

Playing politics with peoples lives and legal liability is a recipe for wide public disrepute of the law.

After the High River gun grab, no gun owner in his/her right mind would register a gun. It may end up in the wrong hands.

When it comes to my and my families survival NOBODY will dictate to me.
I predict that none of this will come to full fruition (gun control etc.) because the Islamist’s are coming and they are going to cause so much trouble for good old Turdeau that he and his cohorts and the bureaucrats will have their hands so full their heads will be spinning.

Prepare for confiscation. Socialists hate an armed populace. Interferes with their goal of a communist dictatorship!
