First Nations entrepreneur fears BC NDP win, may leave province —again

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

Today I’m very pleased to interview Gordon Shank, an Innovation Award winning entrepreneur from Burnaby, British Columbia who actually left BC during the decade of darkness that was the 1990s under the BC NDP

Shank has since returned to BC, but with the NDP possibly winning a majority this week, he has a message for all other business owners and voters:

Don't let the NDP win or we may see another exodus of people, businesses and entrepreneurs like Mr. Shank.

What I find most inspiring about his story is his life as a First Nations individual growing up in foster care, and then at age 18 setting out on his own and establishing his now flourishing business.

Do the NDP really want to drive away such a shining example of entrepreneurship?

Unfortunately, their record in every province seems to say yes.

The hard work and perseverance of Gordon Shank should inspire us all – in spite of his unfortunate and tragic beginnings, and his near fatal tangle with NDP policies in BC.
It’s pretty darn obvious it’s ‘the government’, the MSM, and identity-politics spewing, entitled and privileged liberal useful-idiots that are in fact responsible for the bigotry of low expectations of the Indians and a prolongation of their misery – along with lots of foreign money – it is in their interest after all because they all benefit, not the Indians.
Those Indians who choose to live on a reserve under ‘the government’s care’, choose to live how they do, as wards of the state, and victims – or partners in crime – of the chiefs and that venal, corrupt system…
…choose not to live there, that way – or STFU* – don’t bite the hand that feeds you!

STFU* – Acronym for:
If you don’t like things here, change, or move back to your ancestral homelands in Asia!

We need to hear more from Aboriginals like him.

Billy Howard i have worked with my share as well, they usually left the reserve to build their own life away from the corruption. I guess BC will have to stand for Bring Cash again, too bad Alberta will not have much to bring.

Congratulations to Mr. Shank for not falling into the “poor me” trap of First Nations poverty. I too know natives that have used the power from within to become successful.
As for the election tomorrow, I’ll be saying an extra prayer, as a fellow entrepreneur, that the NDP doesn’t just lose, but loses a ton of seats (to the Greens?) so that the next election might see 4 or 5 parties to choose from. Getting sick of the usual “lesser of 2 evils” choice we’ve had in BC for decades.
