For $395, this ex-Notley employee teaches the “spiritual dimensions” of “climate change”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Do want to join a cult? Do you have $395 to spend getting your brain washed by a former Alberta Government employee?

Then you can make your way to picturesque Cortes Island, BC, at the exclusive Hollyhock Leadership mothership — I mean, Institute.

There you can sit in on a three-day seminar called “Climate + Spirit: Living the Spiritual Dimensions of the Climate Crisis.”

Normally I don't care about what hippies are dumb enough to waste their money on.

But I care this time because one of the leaders of this seminar is Karen Mahon from Stand.

Remember her? She’s one of Premier Rachel Notley’s handpicked oil and gas experts who sat with Tzeporah Berman on the Oil Sands Advisory Group.

Rachel Notley thought Mahon was such an strong expert, she put her on the panel in charge of the future of Alberta’s economy…

Just to repeat, a solid approach to the spiritual dimensions of climate change can be found in Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home”. It is was a best seller in booklet form and is available free online: w2.vatican.va/…/papa-francesco_20150524_enciclica-laudato-si.html

Sometimes we want to over-politicize issues or create some sort of false “us versus them” division. The encyclical takes a bit of time to read, but shows Pope Francis’ pastoral tone. Climate change is not something to fight over, it is something to give serious thought and reflection to.

Is this part of the NDP job creation plan?

I wonder if that $395 includes a rope and a pail along with the “apocalypse-pending” message?

These people have some serious scales on their eyes, and as a Christian I know there is only one who can remove those scales. I also read somewhere that Shannon Phillips is a Wicca witch. Has anyone else read or heard that before? The NDP is getting a little too new age for my Christian soul, and that points to only one direction in my mind & that would be anything not Christ following is anti Christ.
Religion aside, my view is that Rachel knows here days are numbered, she knows she is despised by Albertans, and I think this is just a stunt to do as much damage as possible before she gets evicted. Thanks SGR!

How about you go around picking up litter m it does not cost anything and actually helps the climate? Oh sorry that means effort , can’t have that.

Another way for these hypocrites to absolve their climate sins.

Certainly a sounder approach to the spiritual dimensions of climate change can be found in Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home”. It is available free online.

Well at east this leftard huckster is putting Global warming (AKA climate change hysteria) in its proper context – that is as faith based fear porn cultism for spiritually hollow leftbots.

Faith is all they have to support the utterly invalidated CAGW “hypothesis”. Not one of the IPCC’s Billion Dollar models has skillfully predicted recent or any climate changes. They recently and laughably tried to claim that because science could predict the eclipse to the millisecond, that one should hold all science as irrefutable truth. Only one problem, the motion of the planets is predictable for hundreds if not thousands of years in advance. cLIEmate UNscience is unable to skillfully predict climate even two weeks out.

“Professor Richard Feynman, Nobel Laureate in Physics said,

“It does not matter who you are, or how smart you are, or what title you have, or how many of you there are, and certainly not how many papers your side has published, if your prediction is wrong then your hypothesis is wrong. Period.” Climate predictions are consistently wrong, so the hypothesis is wrong and the computer models built on it are wrong and produce meaingless results. Failed predictions indicate climate science remains unsettled.

Finally some honesty. The left has always pooh-poohed religion. Many conservatives have called BS on them; pointing out that the SJW view is a religious one. Obviously the time was ripe to “come out of the closet” spiritually speaking. This speaks volumes about the NDP’s axe to grind with Christian schools and Christians in general. SO now the left has ‘fessed up and admitted that they hold religious views. It also speaks volumes about the left’s propensity for violence against non-believers a la islam.

The left, as David Horowitz states is trying to bring in the kingdom of heaven by their own divine works and decrees. All must worshippers at the temple of ecoweenie-dom. But at east the facts are out and we know who we are dealing with.

Sheila, go undercover and attend this nonsensical seminar, hidden cameras etc….bring a friend as a witness. Can’t wait for your report!
Might be prudent to pack your own food and drink, in case Mahon spikes it with something mind-altering!

Great reporting, Sheila!! Love the term, Econo-Nonsense!

We need to bring these climate liars back to reality. Let’s send them up north for the winter without any fuel and see what they think then. Maybe the spirit of the north wind will slap some common sense back into their warped minds.

Maybe they can have a seance to get in contact with the spirit of the invisible AB energy minister.
