For Jews only: The truth about Gavin McInnes, Israel and the Media

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

We just got back from our trip to Israel, which was amazing. That’s not just my opinion, either.

Israel’s largest newspaper, Israel Today, loved one of Faith Goldy’s videos so much, they uploaded it with Hebrew captions — and it received nearly a million views in the first two days. Pretty incredible for a country of just 8.5 million people.

Not to be outdone, Al Jazeera hated one of Faith’s videos so much that after they criticized it, it got about TWO million views in the first two days.

In Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, strangers would call out to us.

They recognized me or Gavin McInnes from our videos.

A speakers bureau in Tel Aviv asked Gavin to give a talk, on one day’s notice, and more than 200 people RSVPd, and Gavin did a hilarious half-speech, half comedy routine, partly as himself, partly in character as his PLO-loving leftist brother “Miles.” So many people wanted to come work for us. I’d love to set up an Israel bureau.

If you want to see all of our videos from that recent trip, go to RebelIsrael.com

Now, normally I’d end this video there.

But I have another part to this video that’s just for Jews.

Because something funny popped up during and after this trip.

Actually, a few things happened all at once:

We went to Israel; and by coincidence in the same week, one of our contributors, Jay Fayza, criticized white nationalism, in a fairly thoughtful way.

And then Gavin McInnes made some off-colour comments, as he does pretty much every day, but he went pretty far this time. That video wasn’t for the Rebel, but for another TV company he works for.

But he still made a correction that we posted at TheRebel.media. I’m glad he did.

But all these things together shook out some of our viewers who were anti-Semitic or racist. How many do you think that was out of our 600,000?

It was about half a percent.

About 3,000 people quit being YouTube subscribers to us over our trip to Israel, because they thought we were too Jewish, and Jay Fayza was too anti-racist, and Gavin McInnes was too mean to neo-Nazis. Who cares?

But there is one other group that’s really mad as us:

Liberal Jews.

Specifically, four liberal Jewish journalists.

They’re saying we’re anti-Semitic.

These people are insane.

This particular incident has taught me something about anti-Semitism that I’d like to share with you.

I hope you’ll watch and see what I mean…

“Chester Koenig commented 3 hours ago
F**k Ezra Levant and f**k The Rebel. Seriously. "
Fuck off Chester. Assholes like you are not required.

@ Elton Braun

Yes, I witnessed the same transformation. It was an almost surreal “real time” shift in his thinking. I thought it was rather creepy. I stopped watching his shows on Sun News after that and never watched any of them on The Rebel. Now it seems he has gone full throttle to the left. He was only here for a couple of months at the beginning and I am so very glad he did not stay at The Rebel.

Since 9/11 – IN THE NAME OF ISLAM (SATAN): 32,990 Attacks, 211,567 Killed, 295,670 Injured that we know of.

When Michael Coren first came to Christianity, he was inspired to do so by TV Evangelist, Terry Winters, and he became an Evangelical. But as he began to dig into the Christian faith, he became convinced of the headship of Rome and the succession Peter, thus his conversion to Catholicism. He then came out with that New York Times best seller, “Why Catholics are Right”. He made a lot of very cogent arguments in the book, and while I didn’t agree with them, there was a thread of sound logic throughout, and I had to respect that. But then this screwy weird conversion to Anglicanism, and not orthodox Anglicanism, but Anti-Biblical, homosexual affirming Anglicanism…. that embraces same-sex marriage and the ordination of practicing homosexuals. I had always considered Michael Coren to be a very intelligent man, and certainly far better educated than myself. But in this latest conversion, he abandoned all logic, all common sense and Christian doctrine, and went with “feelings”. He says he can understand them because he also was sexually active before marriage. Big deal! So was I! I’ve never been married, but I sure had a lot of fun in the 60s. BUT IT WAS SIN!!! I never considered anything but sin. But I thought I was going to live forever so I just didn’t care enough at the time. But I never tried to rationalize it or justify it. If you call yourself a Christian, there is absolutely no way you can make it OK. You have to own it and repent. It seams to me that Michael Coren has become a spineless schizophrenic, who bends which ever way the wind blows at any given time, and that’s too bad.

Years ago I commented in a newspaper that I just couldn’t understand the left’s love for Islam considering their hate for Christianity and that the two had nothing in common. Another commentator replied that the common denominator was their mutual hatred for Jews. Bingo.
I used to be big fan of Coren back in his conservative days but then watched as he suddenly became a big supporter of not just gay rights (as most people are) but basically claiming Christians should be supporting gay marriage and gay pastors, etc. He must have picked up a different bible and took a hard left turn.

@ Chester Koenig & Literally Hitler

I bet you little girlies think everybody should do and say exactly what you tell them to do and anyone who doesn’t must shut the hell up. Am I right? Are you two cyber bullies?
commented 2017-03-18 14:38:04 -0400
Wasn’t M. Coren one of the original Rebel contributors? I guess that Ezra let him work here because he was a co-worker at Sun News and he felt sorry that he lost his job too.

@ Chester

You don’t have to be here. You can leave and never acknowledge that The Rebel even exists. But I suspect all you want to do is insult people and propagate hatred.

@ Literally Hitler

Once you realize that his videos are tongue-in-cheek sarcastic humor, you will realize he not anti-Semitic. But I suspect that you do not want to acknowledge that his video was meant as humor so you can whine and complain about Gavin.

Last week, Jack Cloverbale was telling us to get our opinion about The Rebel from the Occidental Dissent web-site. This makes him one of the 3 000.

I saw a video of that was almost 10 minutes of Gavin doing a monologue and it was uncut except at the end after he made his statement. Therefore, unless he made some relevant comments after the end of the video, I know that it was not taking it out of context or misrepresented. In the video, he clearly made a claim that The Holodomor was perpetrated by Jews.
Nothing in your video addressed that. Even if he is a big supporter of Jews and Israel, he should either admit that he is wrong or provide the justification that Jews perpetrated the holodomor.
Walking back comments or saying he’s a supporter of Israel does nothing about the credibility of that statement.
Please either address that statement, support it, apologize for it, or provide a link for the entire video including the portion after the statement that shows it was taken out of context.

The sooner these liberal Jews (JINOs?) come out and abandon altogether the pretense that they care about Jews and Jewish issues, the better. The mask has come off the Labor Party in the UK and here in Canada, perhaps partly because of the high representation of religion of peace enthusiasts in their ranks, the Liberal Party is starting to show the same anti-Semitism, but still hiding it behind supposed anti-Zionism (semantics, really), and being about Israel, not Jews per se.

As a slight aside, what the heck happened to Michael Coren? I know Ezra Levant and Faith Goldy who were his colleagues at Sun News would be too professional to speculate or speak badly of him, even though he seems to be attacking them directly now. But I don’t mind speculating (!) – at first I thought that he was going through some sort of mid-life crisis, and abandoning conservatism for liberalism and progressive causes as one might run off to a Tibetan monastery (Leonard Cohen) or become a California beach bum or something, to recapture their youths, reinvent themselves, whatever. Then my theory was that he was simply a person with no real allegiance to anything or anyone but himself. Therefore, when Sun News closed down, he believed that his career was better served if he “converted” to the Left (just as he has changed religion a couple of times now – if nothing else, suggesting a certain instability and volatility in his life). The Toronto Star, for instance, really wouldn’t want to hear about the security risks and costs incurred with mass Muslim immigration, but would prefer stories about how wonderful and enriching Islamic culture is to Western society. So that’s what he wrote. No more “Why Catholics are Right” books forthcoming from him, I don’t imagine! But neither of these explanations really seems to cover it, so who knows? A curious case.

A Rebel Fan said, “If some people unsubscribed because they are racist, that’s good.”

I couldn’t agree more. Rebel Media is far better off without those 3000ish neo-Nazis. I have always hated those on the extremist right (neo-Nazis) as much as I loathe the socialists and wannabe communists. Good riddance to them.

Always the same problem with the leftist Jew liberaLz and democrat, I think they are masochist , they would vote for an Arab who promised to exterminate all of the Jews , as Ezra is saying those guys are embarrassed that some Jews are conservatives. and if you want to meet a bunch of them just go to California, but I feel sorry for Barbara Kay who is a woman that I respect so much she lives in Montreal and survive among those leftist Jews and sad to say but her son is a disgrace.

If some people unsubscribed because they are racist, that’s good. I hope the door didn’t hit them in the seat on their way out. If Jewish leftists are critical of The Rebel, what can you expect? That’s what the Left is like. Personally, I was so desperate to hear news from a conservative standpoint that I felt like I’d found buried treasure when I found The Rebel so I’m staying right here. I’m not going anywhere.

Well put Ezra. Gavin did nothing wrong other than hurt the feelings of some snowflakes.
Let me just say that the whole Israel/Jew storyline is but just another important international item of interest. There are conflicts around the world where people are persecuted and/or killed for racial, political, or religious reasons: Tibet, Afghanistan, Syria, North Korea, Sweden, Nigeria, Philippines, Yemen, Ukraine, Sudan, and on and on. I don’t mean to slight the victimization of Jews or Israel, but in the sphere of present-day worldwide victims, they are but one.
I viewed some of the Israel videos and commend you and the team.
I look forward to more of the Rebel’s international assignments showing the conservative, freedom loving approach on issues and conflicts around the world.

The Progressive left senses a pushback to their madness and Ezra your highly successful conservative platform is seen as an existential threat. The ‘progressive’ bad gurrrls have made piles of stones to pillory the conservative heretics , heretics with the effrontery to challenge their ‘received wisdom’ , their holy-scriptures . I say let’s double down on the push-back . Ezra you’ve got their crotch-less panties in a twist , & they are on the verge of throwing those at you as well ~!?!

A highly enlightening video Ezra. One of your best.

Thanks for the update Calamity. I was iffy about Alexander but he was under consideration to be in the top half of the ranked ballot. But this twitter you say the twit made is in line with how he tried to walk back from the Edmonton rally and the Toronto rally after participating.

For Jonathon Kaye, I used to quite enjoy his writing and still do when the National Post periodically publishes an article. However, when he along with Coyne started auditioning for the CBC bucks, it became much more one sided than it already was.

I was pretty disappointed with Chris Alexander, the Tory Leadership Candidate. He was beaking it up on Twitter with one of Liberal journalists Ezra referred to in his article. He was saying that Gavin had gone too far and that he would never go on The Rebel again. Mr. Alexander has established his credentials as a spineless tit

I forgot about the existence of Michael Coren over the past two years, after the closure of SunNews and Post-Media not publishing him like they used to. I guess he is thankful “The Walrus” is desperate. What I remember about his monologues is that he was Jewish, but not really because he was RC but not really because he was Anglican but not really because Anglican wasn’t Christian but not really because Anglican was more Christian than United but not really because United was in tune with society but not really because society was turning muslim but not really because islam is Jewish Christianity but not really because he really wants to be Buddhist.

In short, not a serious writer.
