Ford must RESIST Liberal grovelling for official party status

David MenziesMission Specialist

The magic number for official party status in Ontario is eight seats and the Liberals finished this election with seven, one seat shy of holding official party status.

As it stands now, Liberals will not receive a portion of the funds distributed among official parties for research, staff salaries and other perks.

Liberal MPPs will essentially operate as independents and will be excluded from debates in the legislature where time is divided evenly between recognized parties.

The eight-seat rule isn’t hard and fast though, and in the past some Premiers have changed them, others have not. The usual suspects are pestering Premier-elect Ford to turn a blind eye to the rules and give Liberals official party status.

Watch as I give a reminder of how past Premiers have dealt with this issue and explain why Premier Ford should resist the Liberal grovelling.

As it stands, Ford says he’ll discuss the issue with his team in the days ahead but based on precedent alone, he should tell Wynne and company to hold a bake sale if they need to raise funds.

No Way that could be the most dumb move of your career, I believe this is destiny as we all have seen enough of the Corruption the Liberal Socialist Party does and is capable of!

You will lose a lot of credibility with my family if you do that

Daniel Sphincter Ocean, Clooney and you are idiots to support one of the worst criminals of the century, and Hillary’s time is rapidly approaching. Nice of you to call all those millions of Americans stupid, I’d like to see you say it to their faces, but it is quite apparent you are too much of a coward.
As for my business, 30 years in oil tools, very lucrative, very rewarding, especially for all the employees and their families. Of course you wouldn’t know anything about that as it is very apparent you have never owned a business.

No Never! DO NOT FUND THEM. Are you wanting to give them the ammunition to kill you with?

The Liberals behaved most reprehensibly, with a depraved indifference to children, family, and society at large. The got spanked hard for it. They were warned (at least directly by me) and laughed at me – some throwback to the 1950s.

They got their consequence so richly deserved. Do not fund them. They need to learn the lesson normal people just taught them, and do some soul searching. That can’t happen if they do not come to terms with their reprehensible behaviours. They won’t do that if Ford gives them a get-out-of-jail-free card. No, No and No.

Also – Quote …. “Funds set aside to pay for research” ??? no, another reason not to fund them. Progressives don’t believe in research, facts or science – they actually get very angry when these get in the way of their debauchery.

Andrew the fake PhD Stephenson, tax cuts are easy in Ontario, it begins by getting rid of big government, cut the waste, which is horrendous, and knock out the virtue signalling programs like wind and solar power, bring back coal, natural gas, and bring Ontario back from the brink. Lump all those together and the savings will more than cover tax cuts, and encourage investment. It really is that easy. "

Is it really that easy? He’s promised a 4% cut. That’s 6b dollars. The tax cuts are estimated at somewhat more, circa 8 or maybe 10b dollars. That’s not quite enough to cover them … and doen’t address the existing deficit.

Canceling power contracts is what got the Liberals into trouble in that certain scandal that occurred two elections ago. Do you know what cancellation penalties are?

Even worse, the cuts he proposes are the worst kind to encourage investment. Most of Ontarios’ job creation in the last ten years has been in the service sector, which doesn’t care what gas costs. If you’re going to dig yourself in deeper … at least put it into something economically productive!

The problem with politicians is that they’re politicians. Rare indeed is the person with the intestinal fortitude to do what’s right rather than what’s expedient. This is why we absolutely must keep after conservative leaders to keep them in fear of losing our money and support.

Daniel Sphincter Ocean, for starters, Clooney is a loser, remember his public statement to a live audience that Trump would never be President. Well, your loser failed miserably on that one, a loser just like you, so it doesn’t surprise me you chose his character. You have never provided proof of your statements, you are just a liberal troll, and a very poor one at that. As for my job, I have owned my company for over 30 years, make and provide a great living for many, and am looking forward to retirement in a few years. Reading and commenting on the Rebel is a nice break during the day and provides for consistent entertainment from the trolls like you. Keep up the good work. You open your mouth as usual and remove all doubt as to what a complete idiot you are.

TAMMIE PUTINSKI-ZANDBELT.

Did the people of France really fall for migrant spiderman narrartive?
…………………………….
That is a very good question Tammie. Someone who took Macron’s fancy perhaps?

Of course Doug Ford should run over the Liberals, they haven’t earned a voice in parliament. They messed their bed so now the voters are going to have to decide whether they curl up with NDP or the Conservatives. All the back-door debts that must have dried up 5 days before election day? I think the political machine could use a little belt-tightening after so long in power.

You must get a little confused managing all of them. Do try and keep track.

Daniel Sphincter Ocean, why did you pick an alias based on Clooney, a complete loser? Of course there is NO debate about whether to grant the liberals party status. And your feelings are definitely irrelevant, as are your no proof arguments. You never provide proof of your claims. Just conclusions from your warped liberal troll mind.

Andrew, I would like to know the extent of any mess before claiming anything, surprised this escaped you as I did speak of an audit in my correspondence to the Premier elect, the one you decided to comment on.”

Do you feel it’s responsible to promise tax cuts if you’re not sure you can afford them?
commented 2018-06-16 21:04:39 -0400
Nothing to discuss.
The voters of Ontario have rendered their decision and reduced the liberals to non party status!
End of debate!

Sphincter/Ocean, your idea of facts are skewed nonsense proven wrong by real scientists.
Your zombie trot for the Liberals stinks!

Why didn’t you post the link like Liza requested? She said she would read the Statement of Claim you are insisting everyone read. I already fired you last week for being an armchair lawyer, judge and jury. The allegations are just that, time and an actual court proceeding will determine whether the claim has merit.

My guests have arrived, and, it’s time to bid you adieu. Enjoy your solitude Sphincter!

Tell Wynne to FO and die.
Stupid bitch ruined Ontario and now she/it has to pay for that, she/it can go and grovel to her/it’s Muslim friends.

Daniel Sphincter Ocean, first of all learn how to spell. Secondly, the liberals do not have a good side, ever, anywhere. There is no bombshell that is going to even remotely bother Doug Ford, you just wish. And an unsettled lawsuit is not a bombshell, a bombshell is what your sister Hillary is experiencing, what the FBI/DOJ in the US are experiencing. A bombshell is what you live everyday when you look in the mirror dreaming up yet another pathetic alias so spew your drivel.

Ted, I was thinking the latter. I can be swayed as I haven’t researched enough what rationale was used when NDP were denied status, and, what arguments Liberals are using today to try and convince the Premier Elect to ignore the rules. I would like to do a comparison to see if Wynne’s team are using historical arguments given by the NDP and what the full response/rationale was given at the time.
I hope this makes sense. I want to see if the Liberals are once again being hypocritical.
commented 2018-06-16 19:41:24 -0400
Tammie, I’m not clear what you mean. Swayed which way? And did you mean they had to get 8 seats via a by-election to be given official party statues, or just win Wynne’s seat again? I can’t buy into the latter idea. They have simply done too much damage to Ontario to be given consideration that they didn’t give the NDP.
commented 2018-06-16 19:36:40 -0400
Ted, your position is shared by many, I can be swayed on this one.
