Foreign money funds anti-Conservative “shadow campaigns” in Canada

Brian LilleyArchive

Federally there’s some proof that foreign money is being used by the left to fight elections in Canada. A Senate committee hearing last week found that untold millions could be used and there’s nothing Elections Canada can do about it.

Conservative Senator Linda Frum was quizzing Yves Cote, the Commissioner of Canada Elections about foreign money coming into Canada.

Cote had just explained that foreign money can come into Canada through a third party due to a loophole in a rule big enough to drive a truck through.

Watch as I explain what that loophole is and how it has been used by groups like LeadNow, Dogwood Initiative and a whole host of groups, to get people to vote for anybody but the Conservatives.

These groups use tactics that allow them to run shadow campaigns, the money can all be offshore and Elections Canada doesn’t monitor it at all.

Americans are worried about the Russians interfering in their elections but we should be worried here and maybe start thinking about changing the rules.

George Soros and his organizations are subverting democracy. This should be illegal in any democratic country.

Thank you, Brian. Until Attorney General of the US, Jeff Sessions, locks up George Soros and seizes all assets this dirty business will not stop.

If Michael Savage can publish a book that contains 5 pages of Soros funded groups, I know that information is available to the AG. Lock the doors on all those groups and arrest Soros. For whatever reason this is not happening though, and I’m sick and tired of waiting for the swamp to be drained in the US.

He has not only meddled in the politics of the US and this land, he’s also meddling in the election in France and many other countries in Europe.

I recall that prior to the last election the Conservatives were going to look into this and once a Trudeau government was elected, of course, that was put to an end. Foreign entities are allowed (welcomed) to treat Canada like a banana republic.

Lets not overlook the significance of Senator Linda Frums’ input on this story. Thanks to Linda Frum! Foreign money should never be allowed to influence or be accepted in the Canadian political system full stop. I am so disgusted with the Liberals pay to play and JTs’ private island retreats etc., they have no regard for the everyday Canadians they should be protecting and working for. PMJT should grow a pair and stand up for Canada & Canadians instead of joining in with the haters and watch our country & our economy go to hell in a hand basket.

Well of course , once the libs put us in the poorhouse they will need foreign money to run again as there will be nothing left to take from us.

Foreign interference in our democratic processes should be a crime, but hey, look what we have in the PMO, The astroturf kid, bought and payed for by Soros.

Soros’ corrosive tentacles corrupt everything they touch. The next election will be more like excising a malignant tumor as voting…

It would be good to see the rules updates and the loopholes closed so that foreign interests like George Soros can not meddle in Canadian democracy, while we still have democracy, that is.

Foreign interference in national and provincial elections – all encouraged by the liberals who refuse to stop it – because it helps their cause.

This needs to be closed and anyone involved needs to be jailed. For a long time.

They will never change our laws, forget it. They are ALL corrupted.
commented 2017-04-17 20:38:09 -0400
Well as long as the corrupt liberals are the ones benefiting nothing will be done and the MSM won’t say boo. Of course we knew all this since the last election.

Brian, you’re wrong. It is not foreign money coming to fight for Liberals and the globalist agenda, it’s Canadian tax-payer money.
Trudeau and Soros have it figured out. From the BILLIONS of our “humanitarian” tax dollars going overseas, a percentage of it, through the magic of accounting, is funneled to Soros, Tides, etc. to be spent back in Canada to perpetuate the alt-left agenda.

The thing is though, there are conservative billionaires that can be counter weights. Trump proved to be his own counterweight, but also had Brannon, the PayPal guy (can’t remember the name), and others to trump the Obintons. They did not care about left inspired optics.

Canadian conservatives, since the loop-hole exists, should use it as well. Ignore the outrage of the left that they are using it like the left does. Instead, our right will be content to point out the problem, let the left use it, and not take advantage themselves. They are too concerned about left inspired optics.

The real expert on this subject, in Canada, is Justin Trudeau and his Band of Merry Death Cultists.

DUMP TRUDEAU.

Whaaaaaaat??? Foreign money used to fund left wing parties in Canadian elections? No, say it ain’t so!

We need to always be reminded of this, and Brian Lilley you do an excellent job doing so, but this is not news that catches me off-guard in any way.

It does seem odd that it is only the left wing parties that accept this foreign money.

I do wish these other countries would go take a long walk off a short peer into piranha infested waters when it comes to interfering our elections … or shark infested waters would do as well if there are no piranha to be found.
