Former NHL tough guy Georges Laraque took issue with the Stanley Cup-winning Pittsburgh Penguins deciding to visit the White House.
“I know hockey’s more conservative than other sports, but this time it’s just wrong,” the one-time Green Party candidate said of the Penguins' decision. “I’m surprised the NHL didn’t make a stand.”
“To me, it’s an embarrassment that they’re going,” he added. “When they go there, it’s not going to look good.”

Laraque, who never won a Stanley Cup and had a chance to visit the White House, added, “this is the last place the Stanley Cup should be.”
Done. Was tracking his reckless proclamations. No more. "@acrosscanada: PLEASE unfollow Trump. He is Hitler 2.0 and no example to follow!"— Elizabeth May (@ElizabethMay) September 24, 2017
The ultra left-wing attacks on Trump have come from other Greens too. On Sunday, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May actually retweeted a comment that claimed Trump is “Hitler 2.0” and she was only following him to track “his reckless proclamations”.
