Fourteen years after 9/11, the jihadists are still at war with the West

Brian LilleyArchive

If you were alive and aware fourteen years ago you'll likely never forget exactly where you were on that sunny September day as you listened to the terrifying news coming out of New York.

People haven't forgotten but unfortunately western politicians have refused to admit what happened then and what is happening now.

Most refuse to admit the attacks have anything to do with Islam, few will even say the ongoing terror threat is tied to a minority vision of Islam.

This is misguided. If we can't name what we are fighting then we cannot win.

I remember precisely where I was when I heard the news about the World Trade Centre. I lost two very dear friends in that attack.

To say ISIS is not Islamic is to say that the Jesuits were not Catholic.

With RICHARD BRINKMAN boldly declaring, “HONESTLY I do not believe THUGS who inflict terrorism against others represent Islam”, PETER NETTERVILLE you asked a cogent question, “Richard, why do you believe this to be the case?” That should be easy for Richard to answer since at the end of August, he confidently declared, “Everything that I’ve looked into tells me that Islam is a religion of peace.” We are all ears Richard for you to tell us everything that you’ve looked into and how it led to your conclusions that the “THUGS who inflict terrorism against others” do not represent Islam and that “Islam is a religion of peace”. After doing so Richard, I suggest you wander over and compare what you know with what a former Pentagon Intelligence Analyst knows. For some reason, you are missing there:

Keith you ask WHY? I believe Obama’s passivization of the US is the answer. With no deterrents, terrorist organizations like ISIS flourish and expand. In Israel, when when a terrorist does a suicide mission. Since the dead terrorist can’t pay the price for causing numerous Israeli deaths. Israel makes his family pay some price. Bulldozing down their home is one example.

I know it sounds crude and unCanadian, but answer me this question. If we made the family of the killer of Corporal Nathan Cirillo pay a price for his crime. Let’s say bulldozing his parent home and freezing their bank account. Of the next one thousand terrorist acts to be. IF these harsh measures prevent one terrorist from carrying out his act because he fears the consequences that his family may face. And the bulldozing of the other 999 have no effect. And this one prevention saves one Canadian life.
WILL IT BE WORTH IT??? I say yes
Obama giving Iran $150,000,000,000 is as stupid as Canada, giving the left wing propaganda machine, the CBC $1.1,000,000,000. And Canada repeats this dumb mistake every year. Iran will fund terrorism with some of that money.

We are at war with terrorism people, acknowledge it, This is the wrong time for Obama or Trudeau or Mulcair style governments. I would like the families of Nathan Cirillo or Patrice Vincent to tell Mulcair if this is our war or not.

Richard said, "I appreciate BRIAN LILLEY’S ideas here but HONESTLY I do not believe THUGS who inflict terrorism against others represent Islam anymore than Pro Lifers blowing up abortion clinics represent Christianity… "

Then I guess you will remain ignorant of the truth by choice, but let me ask you, Richard, why do you believe this to be the case?

It amazes me how simply stating what is so obviously a self-evident truth is considered racist fear-mongering by MSM and the left-leaning Political Parties. Harper isn’t the one appealing to our emotions, he’s appealing to our intellect….. our common sense. Read the Koran, and listen to what the Islamists are saying. If you think they just want to live peacefully and harmoniously with the rest of the world, then you’re the racist because you’re calling them all a bunch of liars. They say quite clearly that they want to either convert us or kill us. I believe them, but pretty much every head of state for every western democracy other than Stephen Harper seems to think they’re lying (or maybe just joking?). I’m reminded of a recent post in the Megaphone by Tim Ball where he quotes Herbert Spencer “The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of their own folly is to fill the world with fools”. The net result seems to be a World of fools who are inclined to elect even bigger fools to lead them. I’m completely baffled by it all. How can the world be so stupid!!

What we all should be asking is WHY, Why are the Western Worlds leaders just sitting back and doing nothing? PM Harper speaks more openly than all the other Western Leaders put together. Unfortunately he has an Election to consider and is somewhat restricted in what he says. As for Obama, I think he has made it pretty clear, as to where he stands. EU Leaders are just puppets under the control of the EU Parliament, but they could stand up and say “No” So, what is the reason that the West seems to do nothing. Why are Muslims allowed to walk all over us, threaten to kill us, rape young girls, as young as six years old (UK). A young man is punched in the face by a Muslim and then is charged by the Police for offending the Muslim, who was holding up a sign that stated, “We will rape your Wives and Daughters and Kill your Sons.” What has happened to our Leaders? Is it fear, Saudi money or the politically correct progressive thinking of the Left Wing? Dose anyone have an answer? I for one am confused, (Shut up Jimmy)

What is amusing about the left is their attack on Harper with respect to National Security. An attack on parliament hill and no suspension of civil rights. Yet let’s go back 45 years…nation wide suspension of civil rights for a provincial murder by a fringe group, and the left thinks its the greatest thing since Stalin. Why? Because of who did it. Go figure the logic of the left; one needs Alexander’s sword.

Islam is a religion of violence. Sharia is Islam which calls foe amputation of hands, stoning of women etc. It also in the Quran calls for killing Jews and those who will not convert to Islam. Morons like Brinkman don’t get this.

Brinkman you are a total loser. Muslim Arabs did 9/11 pure and simple. Of course they don’t represent all Muslims you idiot.
Stop stealing the Rebels dime loser.

I appreciate BRIAN LILLEY’S ideas here but HONESTLY I do not believe THUGS who inflict terrorism against others represent Islam anymore than Pro Lifers blowing up abortion clinics represent Christianity…

They ONLY represent themselves as evildoers and must be held accountable by Law of man for the violence they do to terrorize others.

Does Islam mean peace or submission?
An Arabic word only has one root. The root word for Islam is “al-Silm,” which means “submission” or “surrender.” There is no disagreement about this among Arabic or Islamic scholars. al-Silm (submission) does not mean the same thing as al-Salaam (peace), otherwise they would be the same word.

Excerpt from Daniel Janosik – Is Islam a Religion of Peace?

What has become the stock response – that Islam is a religion of peace – contains, however, a serious flaw. Even Islamic scholars, like Sahar Aziz, argue that “these terrorists are not related to religion” and that terrorism is instead “a complex political problem.” This is echoed in official foreign policy statements, such as the keystone speech on September 10, when President Obama stated that ISIL is not “Islamic” and that “no religion condones the killing of innocents.” Other authors take a slightly more balanced view, calling terrorism a “complex problem” in which religion is a “symptom” rather than a cause. These various explanations center on a premise that religion is not and even cannot be the motivation behind terrorist attacks. However, these arguments appear far less credible when examined in the light of Islamic history, Quranic scripture, and, perhaps most clearly of all, the statements of the terrorists themselves regarding their own actions. The evidence points not only to a logical association between Islamic religious teaching and terrorist violence, but also to a unique relationship between Islam and violent conquest which is not associated with any other religion. Many in the western world, most likely influenced by fear, deny that ISIS has anything to do with the religion of Islam. However, the leaders of the Islamic State assert boldly that all that they do is strictly motivated by their submission to Allah and their adherence to the Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet. Indeed, their war cry, “Allahu Akbar” (God is greater), has become the universal call to submit to the violent Jihad verses in the Qur’an (of which there are over 150).
Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood (1928) made it very clear as to what Jihad was all about: “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its laws on all nations and to extend its power to the entire world.” Sayed Qutb, the famed spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, declared that all non-Muslims should be considered “infidels,” therefore justifying the Qur’an’s mandate to fight against them “wherever they are found.” (In other words, there are no “innocent” non-Muslims). More recently, Al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the new Islamic State, urged his followers to “Support the religion of Allah through jihad in the path of Allah. Go forth, O mujahideen, in the path of Allah. Terrify the enemies of Allah and seek death in the places where you expect to find it, for the dunya [worldly life] will come to an end, and the hereafter will last forever.” Hasan al-Banna, Sayed Qutb, and al-Baghdadi claim to be the true voices of Islam today. Why, then, do we allow non-Muslim pundits, reporters, and politicians to tell us what Muslims believe about Islam?

This is pretty accurate summation of the exact problem I would say!

Great video Brian. The dumbest thing Muslims ever did was 9/11. Harper is the only leader to take a stance against the Islamatization of the West.

And many who live and work as Canadians are now supporting them in their fight. Including the progressives, libs, endeepeers and more.

The cowardly citizen of france and trudoe are two that I also call out – as they are so soft as to seem like they are supporting the islamics 100% – and wanting to bring them here to further the advance of the muslims.
