Full-day kindergarten is taxpayer-funded babysitting

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, guest-host Jerry Agar said a report in the Globe and Mail failed to prove that full-day kindergarten has a positive impact on students beyond Grade 2.

Supporters of the program were celebrating the results of this study, but is this really what Ontarians were hoping for from the expensive government program?

WATCH my video to see why Jerry thinks our schools should be aiming to produce more than just bright seven-year-olds.

The comments about education on here are quite clever and somewhat subtle. Readers of The Rebel were not all born after the introduction of compulsory secondary education. Grade six was good enough for our grandfathers.

Don’t know where I’d be today without all day kindergarten.
Oh, shit, wait a minute…we didn’t have kindergarten when I was a kid.

Einstein, Newton, Edison…they must have gone, though, right?

turdo la doo?

To be fair to Professor Pelletier, she cannot make a statement about children beyond grade 2, because the program has not been in existence long enough for a proper study. I respect her honesty in stating “at least until the end of grade 2.”

When i was in early grade school we had Al Oeming bring a tiger(may have been another large cat) from his park, we had field trips to the space sciences center , the museum, the early computer labs at the UofA , interesting and amazing things to see and expand our minds. What the hell do kids get now? A gulag education on left wing policies. YAY!

JUST ANOTHER ENTITLEMENT FOR CANADIANS SO THEY CAN SHOP, SHOP, SHOP AND HAVE SOMEONE ELSE RAISE THEIR KIDS FOR THEM.
