“It took four generations to dig ourselves out” of the LAST Trudeau's debt: FULL interview with Kevin O’Leary

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

At the Canadian Conservative Party convention in Vancouver last May, I sat down with investor, Dragon's Den star and potential CPC leadership candidate Kevin O'Leary. As you might expect, it was a provocative conversation about foreign and domestic policy, party branding and more.

O'Leary says he gets 10,000 emails a week, many from Millennials who break the "parents' basement intern" stereotype and look up to him as an unapologetic capitalist.

He's got specific proposals, including holding online referenda on contentious topics like pipeline construction.

O'Leary also calls the NDP a "virus" -- that's one of his many quotable quotes in this video...

A generation is defined as a period of twenty to twenty-five years. Don’t you mean decades?

Shebel Raj ,

You are clearly batshit crazy.

I am just watching this now , many hours later—- but I think Ezra is attempting to control his temper.
O’Leary is fucking tedious. That is so funny.
O’Leary is too full of himself and he is also fucking NUTS.
— he wants to be our new PM. hhhhahahaha

O’Leary is half Irish and half Canadian— that is special. . Wonder what the other half is?

Kevin O’ Leary is your only hope to beat Trudeau – be happy for that, instead of whining that he not all about Jesus or Christian beliefs. What you want is UNELECTABLE.

He’s a creep and opportunist. Waits until the day after the French language debate to announce his run?! He should speak French because he grew in Montreal. Couldn’t be bothered. Lives In Boston. Another Ignatieff. MSM will laude him so as to later demonize and destroy him, for good reason, just as they campaigned for Skippy. I want mini-me Trudeau and Co. out, but Kev O is no solution. The reds are on the move in the CPC and provincially.Let us not be as undiscerning on the idiots that bought into another Trudeau in control.

If he doesn’t care if people have sex with a goat, then no wonder why our population is not growing.

Unfortunately, he has a real following; young, hungry, sponge Bobs and Jills believing and lusting over every word he says to them on how to make money and have power. With enough of them buying CPC memberships, he could have the $$support buying him the leadership.

Be very, very careful of wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Opportunist alert!!

O’Leary would be a very bad choice for prime minister as he is anti-gun pro immigration and anti-freedom as well as wanting bigger government…
He might make a good Premier for Ontario.
commented 2017-01-18 14:44:53 -0500
If O’Leary is a pragmatist, he’ll abandon his liberal ideology and grasp onto the other option: conservative values.
I’ll wait and look for his current official stand on things like globalization, Canadian values, carbon-taxes/global warming science, immigration, deficits, and other major issues in Canada before supporting or writing him off.
Ezra, we look forward to your next interview with him so we can know exactly where he stands on the issues of the day.
We must defeat the Liberals and O’Leary’s verbosity may be what it takes. But there’s no point defeating the Liberals if the replacement is a Red Tory (aka Liberal-lite).

A lot of these same things were said about Trump so all is looking good for Kevin.

He’s a liberal and has said so on camera.

Newsflash kids, just because he’s a rich reality TV star doesn’t mean he’s like Trump.

Can’t wait for Ezra’s next glowing review of pedophile worshiper Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen.

Good interview, and questions, he would be a very good minister in anything to do with trade or economics, but don,t think he would be my choice for prime minister

A true social conservative will never be elected PM. Stephen Harper was smart enough to know this. As for same sex marriage, why do you Still want to beat this dead horse. It’s been legal for ten years.

@ David Roberts comment “Those of us who love liberty and freedom, who believe in the essential distinction between male and female, who want to teach our children conservative values and Christian beliefs can expect no help or support from this guy.”….REALLY? and how is he going to hurt your beliefs? He doesn’t care to impose his ideas on you outside of fiscal ideas. He is willing to give you liberty to live as you choose! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? If we had a conservative Christian man or woman running the country do you really think their focus would be on good management of the BUSINESS of running Canada or on making sure every school taught their own brand of Christian faith? I have been a conservative Christian for 35 years and I know that we do not need a Christian running things, necessarily…we need someone who believes in INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY and Fiscal Conservatism…more freedom through LESS GOVERNMENT…and NO unionization of School teachers who are taking our liberties away daily by indoctrinating our children with leftist ideas. Wouldn’t you choose O’Leary over Wynne ANY DAY? I would. He would be the first to bring back MATH, ENGLISH, GRAMMAR, WRITING AND REAL HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY into the classrooms instead of SOCIAL ENGINEERING that the left HAS ALREADY imposed on the young people of this country creating hopelessly unprepared children to make a living in the future.
commented 2016-06-04 16:12:46 -0400
People who are not social conservatives will always exist…they cannot be our enemies…all you Christians out there are supposed to be interested in missions…Kevin O’Leary is just part of your mission field…so don’t sweat that he doesn’t cross all your "t"s and dot all your ’i’s ( in fact the comments you make are scary and smell of a desire to dictate to others what they are permitted to believe…you have that quality of the leftists that is dangerous)…that said, what Conservatives should appreciate about his (marry a goat) comment is that Kevin O’Leary is talking about individual liberty…LIBERTY…don’t you Christians get it? (I speak as a Christian, too)…If he is willing to let people have their own faiths that is a SUPER BONUS for Christians. Please open your eyes and realize that without that attitude in government, Christians stand eventually to be ostracized for our faith, especially with the influx of Trudeau’s ‘new voters for import’…policy that will make our recent imports primed and ready, JUST IN TIME FOR THE NEXT ELECTION.

As a Christian, I WILL (must) not impose my views on others and if we can get a true fiscal conservative we should be thankful to God that there is one who is interested in being a PUBLIC SERVANTFOR THE GOOD OF ALL like Harper was… not just unionized workers, but ALL workers whether they own businesses or work for them. Aren’t you sick of the attitude that the only workers in the world are employees? Business owners work INFINITELY harder than their employees and they do deserve the praise and encouragement of their governments. The left hates them and with that hatred they destroy REAL jobs…

What Christians must be ready for in the near future is to be ready for a war when Islam decides it has enough representatives in this land to carry out THEIR agenda to kill all of us that don’t dot their ’i’s and cross their ’t’s…Freedom of religion is no less important than freedom of speech…and bringing in people who believe in neither is decidedly ANTI-CANADIAN…hence just remember, Trudeau is truly anti-Canadian…promoting an ideology that is anti-Canadian and just to ensure that HE gets into power…so much for sunny ways…and more like SUNNI ways.

How I despise opportunists like these leftist politicians and others who use and manipulate people just to get elected and steal from Canadians.

Sorry but Canada needs a man who is pro- life and and not for death a man who will bring back decency in our Canadian land and will reject all evil and establish decency.I never did like him i find him to be a greedy and manipulator man .

I listened with interest to this interview….until….Mr. O’Leary stated that he pretty much didn’t care if someone wanted to marry a goat. That doesn’t strike me as Conservative at all. That smacks of someone who can only talk about money and has no morals or a truly Conservative posture when it comes to gay marriage, abortion or other areas where true conservatives have major concerns with what is happening in Canada. The only option for true Conservatives, I believe, is the Christian Heritage Party. I’ve started to look into their platform since the Conservative party recently adopted a “We don’t care if gay people marry” policy. I don’t hate gay people, I have relatives and friends who are gay. I just don’t think that because a MINORITY group wants to legitimize something that goes against nature, they should be able to because they disagree with over 2500 plus years of the definition of marriage. Trust me, there are people out there who would love to marry a goat…or any other animal out there. They actually exist. Same for people who think it’s ok for a grown man to have sex with a young boy. Where do we draw the line here? Kevin shouldn’t even think of running as a Conservative, let alone for the position of Prime Minister as we have plenty of morally corrupt politicians out there right now.

I’m on caution side since O’Leary is know to promote GMO food, smells Monsanto and globalists money here.
commented 2016-06-02 20:44:26 -0400
Oh oh, another less than half-formed, shiny new shallow logical fallacy babbling and Godless barely semi-not really conservative at all mediocrity. And he QUOTES an alleged “fantastic quote” from Harper who lost big time? More fantastical really. “You can’t define the future from the past. You have to forget about it!” WTF?! REALLY O’Reilly? Er, no. That – is – insane -rubbish. What a nitwit bore. We’re doomed to leftists and their Muslim hot for jihad pals hell.

I would like to see Kevin O’Leary as our Finance Minister when the Conservatives win the next election. He will serve Canada well; handling a portfolio he understands and knows how to manage, unlike our present Finance Minister and PM of sunny days and ways. I think Justin has been running our country with his memories of ‘Sunny Days’ growing up with Sesame Street. This is Canada 2016 – NOT the Sesame Street neighbourhood. The financial and social mess he is creating in our country is frightening. I personally believe he will manage to do something really stupid during his mandate and we will head to the polls before 2019.

I wish someone like Kevin O’Leary with common economic sense would also respect our Judeo-Christian faith heritage as well. Social conservatism is okay! What’s so bad about being good? What happens in our in our homes impacts our whole moral fiber as a nation. The secrets get out and priorities are lived out and will impact economics. People make demands to accommodate these priorities and eventually our nation will succumb to social Marxism if there is no turn-about. Social conservatism is okay! How many people would be with us today if pre-born children were protected? Abortion is having a huge impact on school populations. About 100,000 children per year have been killed under abortion for many years now. If we didn’t have immigrants, we would have virtually no population growth. The number one problem worldwide is corruption. How are you going to combat that with the love-of-me mentality? For O’Leary, self-centered thinking is just fine! Stay out of the bedrooms! Isn’t that what Pierre Trudeau coined? Economically, are we going to be looking out for the other guy with our wealth if we don’t value human life from conception to natural death, if we don’t respect our constitutional heritage which states that we are “Under God” as a nation? So much good is hinged on our historic heritage and we should be proud of this heritage, not casting it aside. If we don’t respect the law of God, which says, “You shall not murder”, what good will our wealth do us, if we are under the pending judgment of the Almighty as a nation, where will we eventually end up? We are creating our own hell on earth…our wealth will corrode and death is not the end either. Will we choose life or death? The “death with dignity” lobby has used “life and liberty” to gain their own philosophy and take charge of their end, turning the law of God on its head. We will see how really wise we are when we become our own humanistic gods and chart our future apart from our roots, if we continue to speed down this path.

All you need to do is say you are a feminist and pander to Muslims. Wolah, you are prime minister.

An economic bigot who believes money is the answer to everything. Sure, money does ‘make the world go round’ to a high degree … but money isn’t the answer to ISIS, money isn’t what motivates a nuclear Iran (although they need a lot of it) and money isn’t the most important thing in life to social conservatives.

Those of us who love liberty and freedom, who believe in the essential distinction between male and female, who want to teach our children conservative values and Christian beliefs can expect no help or support from this guy.
commented 2016-05-30 18:20:46 -0400
Liked “dollarette”! How appropriate.

On the whole I think I agree with Mr. O’Leary fiscally. I was disappointed with his take on letting others fight ISIS and Canadians can clean up and keep the peace. Also, it was disappointing to hear someone who knows our economy and stated that 60% of it revolves around the oil industry refuse to say he supports pipelines and would put it to a popular vote. Isn’t that what happened in the election? And he did not critisize OPEC oil for supporting totalitarian regimes that abuse and kill women, non-muslims and anyone else that disagrees with them. He seemed to be sitting on the fence.

I have long thought that the Swiss referendum process on major expenditures and government decisions would be great to have here in Canada. On the whole it has proven to be excellent for the Swiss economy and democracy. First, though, we need to make sure that the majority of us believe in democracy!

On the whole, maybe he is correct that he should be a finance minister instead of PM.

This debt will be far worse. I doubt Canada will ever be able to pull out of this economic disaster in progress.

I imagine a pit in the desert where sand continually drops into, like the sand in an hour glass. Canada under this Liberal government is gleefully running down into the center of the pit, but even if we were to turn around and try to get out, our footing would be lost in sands as the descend into the pit, all the while each step is lost and we slowly descend into the pit. A feeling of helplessness shrouds over the mind of those intelligent enough to know that if we continue down into that sand pit, then we are finished as a country.

Maybe it is better to be willfully ignorant to the decline like the Liberals in Canada seem to be. At least then our minds would be at ease. Maybe ignorance truly is bliss, at least for the sake of sanity.
