On last night's show, MP Garnett Genuis and I debated the need for M103, the recently passed Liberal motion to "study" "Islamophobia" with the ultimate aim of somehow eliminating it:

One of the things that will come of this motion is similar to the “gender related” policy review. It creates careers in the bureaucracy for SJW graduates with worthless degrees. “Islamophobia” being by its nature chronic and incurable assures lifelong careers.
While not said in the most eloquent way, nonetheless, well said Maurice!
Remember that Genius said, “it’s a problem (that is, anti-Muslim bigotry) that we see in Canada … it is reasonable for legislators to condemn”, therefore, presumably Garnius is speaking here for the Conservative caucus.
In this segment of the interview that Ezra had on his show with Genius, Genius declares, “anti-Muslim discrimination and bigotry is a problem; it’s a problem that we (presumably speaking here for the Conservative caucus) see in Canada…it is reasonable for legislators to condemn anti-Muslim bigotry”. In total, in this segment, Genius made reference to “bigotry” seven times.
During the full interview, Ezra, who one should remember is a non-practicing lawyer, tried unsuccessfully to pin Genius down as to what he meant by “bigotry”.
It was sad to see as this representative of the Conservative caucus squirmed and got all tangled up trying to explain what he meant by “bigotry”.
The Oxford dictionary defines ‘bigotry’ as “Intolerance towards those who hold different opinions from oneself”. For all I know about Islam, its doctrines, the implications of sharia law, and the intention of its adherents to achieve global dominance as a caliphate, I must say that put me in the class of being a ‘bigot’, which, like Islamophobia, is an over-used word by the ‘progressive’ left.
Well said Maurice.
Trudeau’s pro-Sharia policies (such as segregated genders in public schools, condoning girls on their period being considered “dirty”, allowing for Imam’s calling for the genocide of Jews, etc.) are dividing Canadians like no previous PM, including his father, has ever done.
How are those middle east cabbies treating you Maratime gals?
How are those middle east cabbies treating you Maratime gals?
This would also greatly reduce the chances of the Liberals being re elected.
1. Where is that list of different meanings?
2. Which one of those in this “nebulous” list is used in the M103 motion?
