GUESTS: Richard Spencer on the alt-right, and Robert Spencer on NOT being Richard Spencer

Gavin McInnesArchive

Alt-right leader Richard Spencer said, “Hail, Trump" at a conference on the weekend. Then some people in the audience made “Heil, Hitler” salutes, and now the media is trying to smear Trump and his supporters as Nazis.

I asked Richard Spencer himself just why he did what he did, knowing how the left would respond.

Is he really a neo-Nazi or what?

What does he think of me having a Jewish boss, for instance?

Robert Spencer, an expert on Islam and terrorism, has a had a pretty bad week, since now a lot of people have mixed him up with Richard and are calling HIM a fascist.

I had him on the show too, to state the obvious — he's not a Nazi — then move on to more important topics like whether or not America is overdue for a terrorist attack.

It’s an irrefutable fact that Jews are over-represented amongst Cultural Marxists. Us patriotic nationalistic Jews need a louder voice so that Jew is not a synonym for Cultural Marxist.

If Lord Monckton’s mathematical work on underlying errors in the computer modelling passes peer review it just may change the water on the beans, I am following this with interest….

Excellent series of interviews by the always amusing Gavin McInnes. I particularly enjoyed the discussion with the great Robert Spencer , good humorously trying to distance himself from the alt.right Richard Spencer.

All of us who have been aware of Robert Spencer for many years, would never confuse this quiet, intellectual, thoughtful man with a fascist. He has dedicated his life to fighting Islamofascism with reason and scholarship. He is hardly a man who would sink to the level of the brutal brown shirt tactics of fascism or neo-Nazism.

True conservatives like Gavin McInnes, Robert Spencer and Ezra Levant will always be distinct from members of the alt.right. These men understand that one does not fight the jackbooted fascism of the Left, or of the Islamofascists, with the jackbooted fascism of the Right.

One fights the extremism of the Left or the Right with moderation, reason, intelligence and rule of law with a zero tolerance for their criminality and/or terrorism.

I have been looking for more about this and can’t so far. Is it possible that many companies have been promised payouts for playing nice? Rather disturbing at the very least. I took note of the part that the letter was composed before Trump got in, so they were hedging their bets on American co operation. I am hoping they will change their tune now. Going to have to get to the bottom of that rot. I want to know what deals they were being cut. We’re the ones who will be footing the bill in the end. Pretty disturbing article. Say it ain’t so.

On a completely different subject, “climate change” has not gone away. The following piece appeared in this week’s Ottawa Metro News. It seems to me to be at the very least improbable. Is Junior hallucinating again? Can anyone corroborate?
Top execs push PM on climate policy

Trudeau and premiers urged to show ‘bold leadership’

Canadian corporate executives whose companies together employ more than a million people are urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the premiers to press ahead with collective climate action including putting a price on carbon emissions.

An open letter to the first ministers was released Thursday morning ahead of a planned meeting early next month in Ottawa, where the federal Liberals hope to finalize a pan-Canadian plan with all the provinces and territories.

“Canada has a history of taking far-sighted policy actions to capitalize on the opportunities created by global economic change,” says the letter.

“The time is right for the same kind of bold leadership.”

The 60-plus signatories include business leaders representing oil and gas, mining, forestry products, cement making, aluminium smelting, information technology, banking, grocery retail and building materials. Together, their businesses have revenues exceeding $300 billion annually.

Through the Smart Prosperity Institute based out of the University of Ottawa, they`ve made common cause with clean energy associations, environmental advocacy groups, organized labour and environmental think tanks.

Their common message is that enlightened self-interest dictates Canada strive to be at the front of the pack as the global economy makes a historic shift.

That includes putting a price on CO2 – ``the most cost-effective way to reduce emissions, stimulate innovation and drive energy efficiency,`` says the two page letter.

Michael Crothers, the president of Shell Canada, said the open letter was conceived in September – before the election of U.S. president-elect shook the climate policy world – and aimed less at the premiers than at fostering discussions with other industrial sectors across Canada. ``I`ve had a few with peers in our (oil and gas) sector but also with other business leaders,``he said.

@moderate Libertarian….demographic groups are not conjoined at the skull like Siamese twins and they do not have group think or group grievance or group rights or group privilage. That is Marxist Lenninist Maoist Castroist PolPotist bullshit…. And the Marxists and their derivatives killed and persecuted four times as many people as the Nazis did in the twentieth century so shame on you and your conjoined at the skull political whacko club.

Jay is is Black—- so the only reason anyone will give him a chance is so that they can brag about having a Black person on staff. YOU represent the Worst of Racism. You fucking prick. Welcome Jay. Sorry about this swine—

What you said about Jay is pretty insulting to him, but its not the first time he has been condescended to like you have just done, ML. It is a pathetic and lazyploy of the left.

There you go again Mod Lib, vomiting your ignorance again. Islam is a theocracy, hardly a religion at all. It is a political and social system which uses religion as a hook. Muslims come from all over the world. Hate to break it to you but they are not all brown and they most certainly are not all Arab. Speaking just for myself, I don’t hate all Arabs, only those who let themselves be ruled and manipulated by terrorists. Ever heard of Hamas duffus? They are not very nice guys. For the record I don’t hate Muslims, I hate Islamists. Go defend your boyfriend for waxing poetic about a dead murderer and tyrant, I don’t see you in that thread, coward.
Finally… what Shebal Raj said.

liza Rosie: Yeah it’s called a token house negro. There’s 3 different kinds of racist. Theirs hateful and theirs smug arrogant “get out of my country-muslims are not compatible” Yeah I know you all think it’s ok to to hate muslims because Islam is a religion, not a race but I know fact is you all hate Arabs and they are muslim first according to all of you. Last of all there’s the patronizing kind of racism which the left does routinely.

bla bla bla Mod Lib you couldn’t post an honest original thought to save your life. You are low information and low intellect. You parrot sound bites and repeat lies. You group and make assumptions about anyone or anything right of center. You are too damn lazy to do any research, you just keep repeating the same idiotic lies. You don’t even comment on posts you just flood a thread with your projectile vomit. Getting tired of your misrepresentation Mod Lib.
ML, by the way you do know the Rebel’s Jay Fayza is a Somali.
commented 2016-11-26 20:42:30 -0500
The rebal media is hate propaganda. Ezra Levant routinely talks about all Arab people as well as Somalies as if they are dogmatic savages and animals that should be tamed, trained and taught to be civilized.

Rebel media staff are a bunch of wackos with their own agenda and they are neither conservative or Libertarian. I am not impressed by this recentr trend of alt-right media online. It’s just one side of bullshit and propaganda vs the other.

Alt-right groups are using the exact same methods for recruiting members as the klan. They tell people to blame minorities, or blame government or blame anyone but themselves.

Wow, such intemperate stupidity! Peter Netterville has it right. “Moderate Libertarian” is neither moderate nor libertarian. He’s just another dumb, raving leftist troll.

I never heard of Richard Spencer, but if he said this – " “To be white is to be a striver, a crusader an, explorer, and a conqueror. We build, we produce, we go upward and we recognize the central lie of American race relations. We don’t exploit other groups. We don’t gain anything from their presence. They need us and not the other way around.” -- then he must be promoting his OWN White power agenda. I don’t like the term " White Privilege" . I think it is demeaning , provocative and Racist It pisses me off . Most of just went to work and tried to build something for ourselves and our families. It is also using that famous ’ broad brush’ that non-white people like to lament about as being Racist or Islamophobic. The fact is that White people ,to contradict, Richard Spencer – Did exploit other groups, Did gain from their presence , and now, we all do need each other, and must to learn to get along.

Maybe Glenn, but if so it’s a bad joke many will distance themselves from. Did you listen to Robert Spencer on his personal experience with Richard Spencer?
commented 2016-11-26 17:26:51 -0500
I was accused of being a nazi by a personnel executive at Veteran’s Affairs Canada simply for saying the words “feminism is not a gender it is a political ideology” ….

To me it is just another bullshit tar brush like “chauvanist, sexist, mysogynist, homophobe, racist”.

There is no danger of Hitler rising from the grave or coming out of hiding in Argentina.

I once seriously considered growing my forelocks long enough to braid like an Orthodox Jew getting the appropriate hat and wearing a yellow patch with a circle and arrow “male” symbol with the words “Geschlecht Jude” (gender Jew) in 1930’s German script font as an act of protest.

Those guys who did that salute are not nazis…they were celebrating the fall of political correctness.

Moderate Libertarian, shut the puck up!
The Rebel is no more guilty by association than Trump is guilty because this wingnut supports him. Richard Spencer in my opinion (after listening to several of his talks and debates since this ‘hail’ thing came out) has some problems. He is a trouble maker for the alternative right, and that term is used so loosely by so many groups now that no one would want to be affiliated with it any more. There needs to be a new name and group, and they should distance themselves from guys like this.
Trump has just denounced any connection to the alt right because of this loose cannon. I am inclined to give Paul Joseph Watson and Mike Cernovitch’s take on it seriously. I am still educating myself. One thing for sure, this isn’t a good look and no person who stands with Trump and an alternative to the old boy conservative republicans would want to partner themselves with this kind of inflammatory rhetoric. Then there is the possibility that the guy is a plant.

…Mod Lib, now go out side and play, you clearly need some exercise.

@moderate Libertarian…Richard Spencer is quoted as saying at this conference in Washington. “To be white is to be a striver, a crusader an, explorer, and a conqueror. We build, we produce, we go upward and we recognize the central lie of American race relations. We don’t exploit other groups. We don’t gain anything from their presence. They need us and not the other way around.”

So what part of that is criminal pray tell…….I don’t appologise to anybody for being white , male , or straight….it is high time that those who malign us….particularly on the tax payer’s dime appologise to us.

Go join AIDS SKRILLEX the lead screamer of your emo garage band…..

The staff for this garbage site are neither conservative nor are they real journalists. They are deceptive and misleading. They are fake. Making this about Robert Spencer was a badly done Strawman argument.

But, to me the ultimate Spencer the best of the Spencers is Roy W. Spencer a brilliant physicist and meteorologist , works out of university of Alabama, this guy destroys all the alarmist theories on AGW a book to read,
“the great global warming blunder " , Eh!

Moderate Libertarian said, “I am ashamed for being open minded enough to give the rebel media a chance and even pay them money. Since they want to buddy up with with an asshole like Richard Spencer.”

Moderate, The Rebel is NOT siding with Richard Spencer, they side with ROBERT Spencer who is against Islamic extremism.

Richard is not Robert. The two are different people.

Moderate continues on with his false premise, “Since they want to buddy up with with an asshole like Richard Spencer. I’m done with them.”

Like a standard left wing socialist liar, you make up a lie (called a straw man), then falsely apply that lie to someone you hate (The Rebel) and then proceed to falsely attack The Rebel. The Rebel is not siding with Richard Spencer.

But don’t let the truth stop you from leaving. So, please do go.
