One gay man’s message after Orlando: Quit virtue signalling. Do THIS instead.

James CampbellRebel Columnist

I know what many of you have been doing these past few days on social media: Checking your phone continuously to count the retweets on your vacuous #Loveislove hashtags.

You have been tallying up how many likes you got for uploading a picture on Instagram of you at a meaningless candlelit public ceremony.

You have been indulging yourself in the supportive comments below your latest worthless Facebook post on how "Love will conquer all."

Once you've stopped signalling your virtue, what are you going to do? Wait around for the next attack so you can repeat the process?

You won’t like it, but here's what you can do instead.

1)      Understand Islam. Read the Koran. Study sharia. Islam is a world-conquering totalitarian ideology. Its aim is to eradicate ALL infidels. Gays are front of the line. This is the greatest threat to our survival. You must understand its true nature.

2)      Reconsider who your enemies are. (Hint: your enemies are not Republicans, Conservatives, guns, Christian bakers or white men.)

3)      Stop fixating over trivial issues like transgender bathrooms, gender neutral pronouns and other politically correct nonsense.

4)      Stop bullying and ostracizing members of your community who are not leftists or Islamophiles. There are brave gay men speaking the truth on these topics: Dave Rubin, Milo Yiannopoulos, Douglas Murray, Guy Benson, David Starkey and Dan Savage. Know them. Support them.

5)      Remind your straight friends and family that statistically speaking, an increase in the number of Islamic migrants to the West makes society that much more dangerous for you. There are other ways to show compassion without bringing them here.

6)      Consider voting for someone else. The Democrats in the US and the Liberals in Canada have and will continue to fail you. They only care about increasing their base of voters no matter the cost to our quality of life. It isn’t consistent to claim to be a champion for gay rights while also importing migrants who are statistically more likely to be homophobic.

So stop virtue signalling for the sake of momentary gratification. Anyone can do that. That costs you nothing. Instead, start talking about Islam.

The worst that can happen is that you have some uncomfortable conversations and lose a few friends.

Be brave.

This is the fight of your life.

Let’s all bear in mind one important fact shall we, homosexuality is just as wrong today as it was before these murderous, bloodthirsty savages from the 7th century – otherwise known as ISLAM – murdered these homosexuals in cold blood – because they were homosexuals and Westerners…
You offer some sound advice nevertheless.
Campbell, you cite Milo Yiannopoulos, whose effeminate mannerisms I find personally offensive and distracting from his message, but also appreciate the intelligence and pluckishness he possesses, to stand up to the New Orthodoxy to the extent that he does.
I haven’t heard of the rest of whom you refer to as “brave gay men” except for one Dan Savage – who ought to be in jail just for the cowardly and despicable ‘things’ he’s admitted to doing to heterosexuals, let alone what he has done and hasn’t admitted to, publicly…and the damage he is responsible for to our culture and system of law, so far.
You really need to work on developing more appropriate authority figures…

@drakenshield I couldn’t agree more

There is no left and right in any of this. Islam is an enemy of the west, full stop.

James Campbell, I agree wholeheartedly with every point you made. After every terrorist attack in the US, Obama comes out with his scripted repetitious speech……we condemn the attack…..our hearts & prayers are with the families……guns are the problem, etc. The story eventually disappears & nothing changes, all because of political correctness. Nothing different will happen here either. This will reoccur & as long as a democrat is in the White House, just pray, you are not the victim.

Mark RF I agree with you but I’m focusing on gays because I’m gay and surrounded by them, thus have some influence.
commented 2016-06-13 22:22:43 -0400
Actually Jews and Christians are on the frontline!!! More Christians are killed everyday worldwide for decades now than any other group, and Jews, well we all know but all the other points are common sense we, the few, have been trying to warn people about for a decade!!!

Thank you James…I agree with you 100%.

Just listened to the Catholic news on EWTN, a former CIA official stated Christians are being blamed for this since they created the homophobia frenzy!
The US (and Canadian) politicians/Clinton/Obama will simply use this incident and use the LGBTs for their own gain, and so will CBC.

Marty Courtney: Do you know what the term ‘common sense’ means? You don’t have to be, in US terms Democratic or Republican, you just have to have common sense to know what is the right action to take.

This is the “Gay” vote the Cons should consider going after as homosexuals like this are probably ostrasized by the leftists Gay Activists who think homosexual who does not agree with them is an inferior wanting to be subject to homophobia.

Look at the way lefty Feminists treat other Women who do not consider themselves Feminists as inferiors willing to be subjegated by men (except “equality” Feminists want to subjegate men)

This guy probably would not have problem allowing the term “marriage” be defined as a union between a man and a woman, and come up with appropriate term for same sex union

I don’t even vote conservative so what are you talking about?
commented 2016-06-13 18:59:57 -0400
You are a shill for the Republicans. I don’t like the Democrats either, but if this isn’t pandering and a blatant attempt to recruit for the conservatives, I don’t know what is.

Thankfully, not all gays are mind numbed robots manipulated by the left for the left’s selfish interests – which is primarily MORE POWER and authority for the left and their control freak agenda. The greater gay community had better WAKE UP and smell the coffee. Too many of them are being used as simple tools by the left in their quest for ever more power and authority. As a Christian conservative I find this to be a tragedy. I have NO desire to “change” or "fix"gays into something they are not or do not wish to be! But I DO strongly desire that the gay community come to grips with the fact that their most dangerous enemies are also MY most dangerous enemies. Those enemies are not only the Islamo-terrorists and their followers, but ALL who wish to dictate to others how they “should” lead their lives. If someone is granted the authority to strip me of my freedoms, that same someone can most certainly be granted the authority to strip gays of their freedoms. And I for one want NEITHER! Finally I would just like to extend my heart felt condolences to everyone who has been affected by this awful event.

Thank you, James.
And . . . . . . . . AMEN!

The real problem right now is leftists free-riding on social values they didn’t help build, and don’t care much about in any principled way. For all their dislike of capitalism, they sure are experts in capitalizing on social currencies, like gay rights, for as long as the currency is there to be milked. Once they devalue it beyond repair, through virtue signaling and bullying, or find a better one to milk, they happily move on.

Expect a mass migration from gay rights “supporters” towards islam “supporters” in the months to come, and a lot of victim blaming of the gay community. It will simply be easier and safer to bully dissenters through the prism of “islamophobia” from now on. The islamic currency is here to stay, and replace weaker, incompatible ones. The left has milked “homophobia” to depletion, and now they will leave it to rot.

Time for the makers to pick up the tools and rebuild anew, starting with firm foundations, if gay rights are to survive the decades to come.

Wow. This is a powerful message.

One other thing we can all do is seek out and support Muslims and ex-Muslims who are speaking out against hateful Islamic ideology. Gatestone Institute had a great piece about this the other day: http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/8227/muslim-dissidents

I was encouraged to see that there are in fact many Muslims dissidents, we just don’t hear about them due to selective reporting in the MSM.

I am not gay just to ensure full disclosure. I dont think those are bad tips for pretty much everyone not just gay men. The only issue with your statement is point #6, the only reason the LIberals made it into power is because the conservatives failed the country with their corruption. Personalty im a “the devil you know” kind of guy and was pretty sure the LIberals would turn out to be a different kind of failure but equally so. I am even more sad to say that I am very quickly feeling like the LIberals may be far worse than the conservatives were unfortunately their is no comfort in knowing I didnt vote for them. My only hope now is the conservatives get their shit together and clean house before the next election and that the Liberals do just enough to get voted out but now enough to cause long term permanent damage to the country, sadly 3 more years of this may be more than we can handle. Lastly I probably identify far more as a liberal than I would a conservative, but the liberal party is a breed of SJW that I just cant get behind. As for the Islam issue in general I am an anti-theist so that pretty much sums up my feelings for anyone who uses religion as an excuse for much of anything.

I appreciate your comments on “virtue signalling”. When I read this morning that an ACLU lawyer blamed yesterday’s attack on legislative attempts by the Christian right, and not radical Islam— and then got over seven thousand “hearts” for it— I frankly wondered where people’s “totalitarian radar” has fled. When rightful due process (whether agreeable to everyone or not) is being implicated in mass murder, we’re reaching new levels of insanity.

Well said, thank you

This should get the leftist progressive fucktards heads exploding.

James……well said!

The nightclub was struck because it was a soft target and one facet of what the Islamic fascists see as wrong with our society, but make no mistake they are consumed with one thing only, total domination and the eradication of unbelievers in their caliphate. Everybody should remember the poem ‘first they came for the…..’ and realize that with those barbarians it will be the case if we don’t stand up and make our governments acknowledge what the problem is, take action to stop the spread and signal to all people that come to or live in our countries that this will not be tolerated, period. They must be told that if they cannot live in our society peacefully they will be removed.
