WATCH: Generation Trudeau rate Obama’s presidency

David MenziesMission Specialist David Menzies

In the dying days of the Obama administration, as President-elect Trump is poised to take over, how do members of Generation Trudeau rate the presidency of Barack Obama?

Watch as they tell me he was great, though can’t really say why

They used to call it a generation gap dude cus that’s what it is. A gap between what they say and the reality on the ground. A gap in their knowledge. A gap in their retention. A gap in their focus. A gap in their ability to speak one coherent sentence. A gap between their ears. A gap between their teeth.

Notice who the black men are reticent about singing the praises of Obama?

Even black men can’t think of anything he’s done that was a success.

It’s the whites who are the idiots, proclaiming Obama’s glorious though non-existent achievements.

White liberals are the greatest threat.

In Texas, I find the hardest working, most intelligent, most self-reliant people are not white; rather, Blacks and Hispanics who are the most reliable to be the best people.

Why?

We are witnessing the corrosion of whites by other whites.

James – I agree, parents have to shoulder the responsibility, but our schools are undermining us in so many ways. They don’t want the parents involved. If we don’t revamp education, the future generations don’t stand a chance. Just look at the sex education they want to give to children in grade one, against the parents wishes. The only thing parents can do, is keep their children at home.

I must comment one more time on this subject. Bill Elder. A truly magnificent post. Absolutely bang on.

Deborah Graupner, I too am thankful I received my education when I did. I think we actually received an education : history, math, language skills…Etc. Today, It’s all about " feel good". But can we blame teachers, professors? I don’t think so. Only day these Marxists existed. In quite a few. But my grounding and beliefs were long since taught at home. I could dismiss the fools easily. So where I think the problem is, is the perversion, encouraged btw by the left wing state/ media, is the breakdown of the nuclear family. As part of the “silent majority”, we’ve gone AWOL.

The problem is that the Millenials have no real yardstick in which to critically assess Obama. And their education from the system is hopelessly biased. They have been bombarded by leftist views from a hopelessly biased media. But even worse, we as parents have failed miserably in guiding and teaching important values and responsibilities at home. Obama has been one of the most ineffective, weak Presidents in recent times. Carter, believe it or not, was vastly superior. But how can the Millenials know or compare? Unfortunately, you can’t put old heads on young shoulders. Our failure to teach, guide, discuss openly and honestly, has condemned this generation to suffer avoidable pain and hardship first hand.

I have always maintained that Hussein was the wrong Black President! Morgan Freeman would have my choice!

Bill Elder – very well stated! I think most teachers and professors should be rounded up and fired immediately. The unions are the reason we have teachers that are brainwashing unsuspecting minds, and they have been undermining parental authority for decades now. I always thought there should be cameras in all public classrooms. And now we know why the teachers didn’t want them in there. So they could carry out planting the seeds of marxism for the indoctrination of young minds for future control of society. I’m so glad that I went to school when I did. When the goal was to provide children with the tools, so that they could become productive members of society, by contributing to the best of their abilities. We need to take back the classrooms, or society is doomed.

The Millennials and much of the Xer gens were schooled without the use of logic or critical thinking. Left wing takeover of the social sciences and humanities in University have purged classical philosophy and logic training for ideological indoctrinating minus critical thinking and the requisite debate.

When you learn the formal procedures of logic, a new world opens up for you. Information no longer spreads out like a fog over a valley. You no longer feel frustrated and blunted by manipulative writing and rhetoric that seem to have no pattern or internal connections.

Logic is the “inside game” for the mind seeking a rational approach. Logic is the study of the internal clockwork of formal argument. What premises is the author or speaker assuming? How is he moving from those premises to a conclusion? What chain or line of deductive reasoning is he following? Is it empiric of fallible?
What fallacies is he using to come to an unfounded or wrong assertion? What contradictions is he employing?

These are the basics of logic. This is the basic map a person can use to assess what he is reading or hearing.

Non-logic gives you a flat unidimensional painting. Logic suddenly opens up space in the painting and you see dimensions and perspective.

The ancient Greeks—particularly Plato and Aristotle—took knowledge to a whole new level by examining the interior elements of reasoning. They stated that, in a society, open debate and discussion were essential to progress. Therefore, students should learn how to assess this process. No one in the West had ever put forward such an idea. It was revolutionary.

The Greeks believed in freedom to a degree never seen before. They recognized that logic was a necessary partner in that freedom.

Today, we can see the effect of freedom without logic—since the subject is no longer taught in early education. Students today are caught in the Big Drift. For them, information is an endless mall, from which they pick and choose what appeals to them on a superficial level. They find no particular connection between one piece of information and another or how they connect, conflict or stand up to logical scrutiny.
They are unaware that an author is moving along a predictive illogical line of reasoning. They enter text like a tourist, hoping to find an item that pleases them for the moment—or offends them. One dimensional thinking.

Teachers can get away with indoctrinating students in “values” (most fallible), because there is no consciousness of logic.

Logic has an additional and vital implication. By extension, it generally sharpens the mind of the user. He examines details more closely. He spots sloppiness of thought quickly. He withholds final judgment until he can discover what an author is actually saying. He is confident when confronted with a group of data.

And finally, as a philosophy prof. of mine put it to me, back in the day: “when you ground yourself in the study of logic, you know what you don’t know.” Logic is based in statement which we can prove to be fact therefore we arrive at truth. Statements based in what we don’t know or suspect is theory and all that can ever come from a theoretical argument is presumed probability where fallibility is still suspect.

You don’t assume you know everything. You don’t assume you know nothing. You’re not blinded in either direction. You know what you don’t know, and therefore you can investigate and discover the truth.
That is a great gift.

It’s never too late to study the foundations of rational thought: logic. Because so much of what we hear from indoctrinated ideological partisans these days is based in fallible premises to begin with – with a good grip on logic, you don’t have to waste your time arguing about a false assumptions or mindlessly regurgitating errant ideologies and “values”.

Obama’s greatest legacy is Donald Trump….I am so glad the Trudeau generation is in such an advanced state…an advanced state of total brain leakage. When the adults are gone they will be fried.

He is certainly entitled to dress as he wants, but he still made us uncomfortable.
