Gordon Chang: Trump wants North Korea to feel safe enough to give up weapons

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant ShowGordon G. Chang joined me to talk about the historic visit of Donald Trump to North Korea.

An expert on the region, Chang believes that Trump has been making these moves in an attempt to make North Korea and Kim Jong-un feel more comfortable with giving up their weapons.

Chang comments on the “stunning event,” which started off with a tweet from Trump while he was finishing up his G20 meetings in Japan.

Glenn, you made a great suggestion!
I was actually thinking about posting a comment on some American websites last WK about Dennis Rodman.
Something like “Guess Dennis Rodman saw something in Kim, that the Liberals could not have exposed to the World”!

I have a suggestion for President Trump that just might be the element that tips the scale…Kim seems to be responsive to overtures that are made man to man and he respects those who are successfull.

So I would suggest to Mr Trump that he offer Dennis Rodman the honour of being the Ambassador to North Korea…offer him a nice Armani suit for formal occassions…then offer Kim the man he would be most likely to trust in that role…no…I’m not joking…

Imagine what a story that would be to our children and grand children

When has the world seen Kim Jong-un smile like that? It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Colour me hopeful.
