It only took 3 years to get this Access to Information request back after The Rebel caught a reporter from the Daily Caller being forcibly removed from a United Nations conference in India.
During the United Nations conferences on tobacco control back in November of 2016, 180 countries including Canada agreed to restrict journalists from entering the World Health Organization's “public” meetings.
Journalist Drew Johnson from the Daily Caller ignored the ban, and entered a conference hall and sat in the designated media section. In response, he was forcibly thrown out, and we caught it all on tape.
At the time, we filed an Access to Information request and now — three years later! — we can finally see what the Liberal government's bureaucrats were chatting about in regard to this conference.
In the 74 pages of documents that we received, Lorie Dubar and Rob Tripp had an enlightening exchange about The Rebel Media's presence and coverage of the event.
