Now that those Conservatives are out of the way, bureaucrats in the RCMP are renewing their plans to prohibit legal firearms through re-classifications.
This time they’ve examined 12 legal guns in the RCMP lab that the bureaucrats think could be modified to be automatic. And so the bureaucrats want them reclassified to prohibited status.
The RCMP did not say if these guns, 11 rifles and a pistol, had ever been modified and used in the commission of a crime. They did not say if these guns are being modified at all. Not that any of this matters, since modifying guns is already illegal in this country.
StatsCan data shows that gun crime is down, almost 45%. And that’s not the only data I found. I found that the instances of offensive prohibited or restricted firearms are so infrequent that they are hardly a public safety crisis.
But this has never been about guns or statistical reality. It’s a struggle over who makes the laws in this country. Un-elected bureaucrats or the democratically elected government of the day. And it's not even a struggle anymore. Trudeau's Liberals are flat out conceding, giving the power to decide who is or isn’t a gun criminal, over to the police.
The only people who should be making laws in this country are the ones who I can hold accountable on election day.

The most recent issue of the NFA’s “Canadian Firearms Journal” puts membership numbers in the NFA at approaching 80,000. I don’t know what the membership numbers are of the CSSA.
We will lose this fight and continue to lose ground in the legislative and regulatory arena unless we all wake up and smell the coffee soon. I am very pessimistic with respect to what Trudeau and his ministers will do to the CFP this time around. Obviously, the RCMP brass are already angling to capitalize on this Liberal government windfall they’ve received. After years of the cold shoulder from the Conservatives they’re chomping at the bit to hit back at us gun owners who’ve enjoyed (in their opinion) too many years of Conservative government protection.
We may have held our ground and made small gains under the last regime. However, IMHO I do not predict that this trend will continue unless we all get vocal and do it very quickly.
I hunt and don’t own anything I suspect will be banned anytime soon, however I want…demand the right to choose an AR if I want one and I want the option to hunt with it. Not just take it to the range. A Mini14 is on my wish list…I want to bring it home one day and be able to use it. I want the freedom to choose!! So should all of us!!
“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves.”

The first time around opposition to draconian regulating of common sporting arms put the largest ever protest rally on parliament hill and the compliance rate was far far less than the politicians were admitting ( it was actually so low it was a political bombshell to repeat the real numbers so the politicians lowered the true number of owners by 10s of thousands to make the low compliance numbers look better) – It spawned a political movement which put the CPC in power
- you talk like some Rosedale lib bagman with a case of rectal cranial displacia – you sure as hell haven’t got a grip on the organic repercussions of bad law.
The firearms targeted are not the chosen weapon of either street gangs or gun smugglers. There is no demonstrable proof the guns have ever been converted easily and commonly and used in crimes routinely in full auto mode – unreasonable vexatious abusive prohibition and registry through reclassification causing significant property loss and criminal indemnity – it is unjustified by statute guidelines and by any constitutional test of law.
Join a civilian firearms advocacy organization, donate generously to their legal war chest and urge them to put this in front of the courts. At the very least you can make the venal bastards compensate those who lose money, business and property value due to capricious abusive regulating. Remember, no matter what the police would like reclassified, it will take a minister to sign off on it and the approval of parliamentary committee – if they try to evade the lawful process for legislative change, raise legal hell !!!
The number of firearms removed from public ownership is directly related to the mass importation of Muslim fanatics. Trudeau’s masters in the middle east, are obeyed willingly and without question.
Soon we will see new police vehicles on the streets, they will be APCs with 30 mm machine guns on the roof. They will all be manned by Muslims and likely have the ISIS flag painted on the sides.
This is the end of civilization, as we know it. We will be fighting back with Slings and Cross Bows.
Eventually we will win but it will be a hard battle, with great loss of life.
The only alternative is to stop Trudeau. NOW, by legal means, of course.

The new controversy and the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about is a trigger technique called “bump fire”…wherein the shooter adjusts his “length of pull” and butt pressure either against his shoulder or hip such that the recoil rebound pushes the trigger against the trigger finger at precisely the moment that the trigger sear has re-engaged for the next round thereby causing continuous fire.
Apparently kits have been offered on the internet that involve recoil pad and trigger mods that facilitate this.
The reason why Justin Bourke did not “bump fire” his Norinco during his firefight is because he knew :
(1) you cannot aim while you are doing it
(2) you cannot count on it because the gun will jam more often than it will successfully bump fire
(3) bump firing will not increase your rate of fire significantly
(4) your overall firepower and intimidation factor will not significantly change unless you use illegal high capacity magazines
Even trained troops who have full auto capability on their battle rifles rarely use it especially in .30 calibur rifles.
It is either gross incompetence, or malice. (or both!)
This is the LibTurdo way of doing an Obama-esque Executive Order, and bypassing the parliament and the democratic process, of which many died for, lest we forget.
Junior Jihad TurDope, you want actual safety, I suggest stop importing death cult adherents who worship a beheading pedophile that commands the eradication of all infidels, and debases women who, when not having their heads cloaked in garbage bags, as being filthy trollops justifiable worthy of gang rape, a la Taharrush.
That would be a logical place to start.

the rcmp high river gun grad was a trial run, a test if you will, too see just how much they could get away with. Obviously they didn’t get much push back from the citizenry. I can assure you they won’t be as covert as last time
