Gunning to lead CPC, Scheer ready to take on BIG sleeper issues facing Canadians

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator Holly Nicholas

Andrew Scheer is a CPC leadership candidate from Regina, Saskatchewan. He knows all about living on the prairies and understands how important the oil and gas industry and farmers are to the vitality of provinces like Alberta making him a top choice for CPC leadership in the West.

Scheer was in Calgary recently for the leadership forum so I spoke with him about his policies - everything from the carbon tax to firearms policy.

Watch my video to see what Scheer has to say about his campaign and all things conservative.

Scheer’s campaign seems to have a lot of common sense policies – he doesn’t support a carbon tax and wants to pay the debt Justin Trudeau has racked up in two years saying if it’s possible for Trudeau to append $30B in a year, it’s doable to pay it off in two.

He also says he’s running for leadership to protect future generations from getting saddled for decades to come with the bad decisions this Liberal government is making now.

The leadership vote takes place on May 27th, so there’s still time to decide who will get your vote but to place that vote, you have to be a CPC member by March 28th of this year.

Stay tuned to The Rebel for more CPC Leadership vote news!

I am very impressed with Pierre Lemieux’s policies. He has 20 years of military experience and 10 years in as a MP. IMHO he’s the person who will get it done and hold ground against the attacks on Canadian nationalism. He has recently updated his policy page, check it out. http://www.pierrelemieux.ca/policy

Mainstream media has been very quiet about Pierre Lemieux because they know he is a real threat to the Liberals; they don’t want to give him any face/print time for fear of promoting him. I know one regular poster on here said that whoever the media is trash talking, is the person we should be voting for… I disagree, the person to vote for is the person the media is terrified of bringing any attention to.

Liza you may have heard Scheer say he doesn’t believe in man-made climate change, but I give greater credence to what is written in black-and-white at his campaign web site, namely that he would take a sector by sector approach “to reduce greenhouse gas emissions”:

Tarak Fatah addresses the Canadian Senate: It is clear that some Muslims fear the Trudeau governments’ understanding of what Islam is and fear that the moderate Muslim is not included in Parliament’s understanding of Islam, but is excluded. LIsten to his grievances and weep. There is something very strange going on in the halls of Ottawa and there are strange bedfellows there, and this may be our last chance to drain the swamp. It will take more than smiles, Mr. Scheer. This is a matter of life and death and the times need a very serious warrior fighting for the Canadian people. We won’t settle for just the standard Conservatism, anymore…this is a war against our Charter Rights of free speech and freedom of association, as well as true blue Conservatism. “If you want to know who rules OVER you, ask who it is you are not allowed to criticize” (Voltaire). M103 is a general surrender of Canada to Islam and Islam will rule over us by means of only this resolution. This bill opens the door to lawsuit upon lawsuit, until we are fully surrendered. Islamophobia is no different than the dire suspicion that hangs over communism, Christianity and Catholicism. If we can stand the phobia against us as non-Muslims, then unless Islam is able to stand the same criticisms and attacks, they are unfit to live in a free country and should return to lands where their weak faith is coddled and protected by draconian totalitarianism. It takes courage and determination to live in a secular society as people of faith and only those who have counted the cost may remain here. We need real leaders who have this courage, not smiling appeasers, and we will not have such to govern us as our public servants.

Andrew Scheer did am excellent job as Speaker of the House and was respected by all sides. If the Conservatives have any hope of regaining lost support they are going to have to find someone who comes across as moderate and balanced. Also, of the lot, Andrew is one of the few who is perfectly bilingual.

I like Andrew. He’s a good guy. How is he going to aggressively manage a Trudeau loving mainstream media? Their tactic is to get Conservatives on the defensive and trash them continuously while celebrating the Dear Leader, the “Little Potato-Genius” of the Laurentians.

Totally agree with everyone else here on the Islamic issue needing to be stopped dead in it’s tracks NOW. The islamic agenda here is to take down Canada which has been going on for years now and is what m103 is really about. Do the libtards actually think that Canadians believe all the BS the MSM is feeding them about how islam is a religion of peace? Actually the way the MSM is constantly brainwashing the public about the muslim victims of hate and by hiding the reality of what is going on all throughout Europe by the islamists average Canadians really don’t know and believe all of the lies being pumped out.

Andrew Scheer, one other thing. Saudi Arabia isn’t going to take any refugees. It would be abjectly counter intuitive to expect the main funder of terrorism to take in the very refugees it is having a hand in producing in the first place. The Saudis know where they want those refugees to go.

Andrew, I watch all the debates, read all your emails, answer all your surveys, but when you ask me who is my first pick I hesitate. Just say the magic words and the votes that would flood your way will make your head spin.
Because Islam is the KEY issue. Without this being addressed nothing else matters.

I am T H I S close. Just whisper the right words in my ear.
‘Islam is the problem’
…and you have my vote.

A definite bonus, http://www.andrewscheer.com/adding-property-rights-to-the-charter-of-rights-and-freedoms

Ron Voss, " he hasn’t declared that there is no scientific basis for climate change". Scheer did actually, in the Halifax debate. You’d have to watch it, I haven’t seen it written anywhere, but I heard it come out of his mouth.

Agree with all who are concerned about the lack of conversation from the leadership candidates regarding the Islamification/Islamization of Canada. It is clearly at the top of the list for many of us.
Conservatives had better catch up, because the Liberals are real clear on the concept. Time to educate yourselves candidates and crack open a Koran, as Ron has mentioned here.

As far as “common sense” policies (fiscal management, debt,no carbon tax, gun policy, etc), pretty much ditto for many of the other candidates. While he is opposed to the carbon tax not unlike most of the others, except for CINO Chong, unlike Bad Trost, he hasn’t declared that there is no scientific basis for climate change. Unfortunate that those candidates who say they are against a carbon tax but don’t say that they don’t believe in man-made climate change, aren’t asked what they would do instead to address the problem they say needs to be addressed. His big plus is broad caucus support.
With respect to addressing BIG sleeper issues, none is BIGGER than mass Muslim immigration, and he, like many of the others, are quiet on this issue or don’t address it head on but only in an oblique manner. He gave the following as his reasons for voting against anti-Islamophobia motion M-103:
1) M-103 is not inclusive. It singles out just one faith. I believe that all religions deserve the same level of respect and protection.
2) M-103 does not define Islamophobia. (Who cares as it is a politically-correct term used by the ‘progressive" left and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to stifle free speech and criticism of Islam.)
3) M-103 could be interpreted as a step towards stifling free speech and legitimate criticism.
With respect to 1), I am sorry, I don’t believe “all religions deserve the same level of respect”, and, particularly, in the case of Islam, I see it, like Geert Wilders, as a “totalitarian ideology camouflaged as a religion”, and, accordingly, dangerous to Canada’s sovereignty and security.
If Scheer wants to be Canada’s Prime Minister, as Professor Jordan Peterson said when asked by Jay Fayza in a recent interview, “What should we do to combat the threat of radical Islamic movement?”, Peterson responded:
“First thing is to learn everything you can about Islam, so you know what you are talking about.”

but not a one of them will speak about the islamic overthrow of Canada and how to stop it! They also support the “anti Islamophobia” law which denies we Canadians our Charter of rights and freedoms while allowing it for the Muslims. In my opinion they are ALL TRAITORS, COWARDS AND ANTI CANADIAN! NOne have proved me wrong yet!

What about our big problem with reckless immigration policies, and getting the numbers way, way down? How are we going to be kept safe? Firearms ideas are good! We’re all going to need guns! The Refugee crisis is a UN resettlement agenda. Let’s get out from under the corrupt UN.
