Guns & Gals was EPIC — So don’t miss the next one

Faith GoldyArchive

This month, I hosted The Rebel's first ever Guns & Gals event at Target Sports Shooting Range in Ontario, and it couldn't have gone any better! Enjoy some of the highlights from our day:

Over 150 women turned up, the vast majority of whom were first-time shooters.

After firing AR-15s and Glock 9mm all day, it's safe to say first-timers and returning shoots alike left with a “gunnie's grin” from ear to ear!

Now, The Rebel is getting requests for more events just like Guns & Gals. So we're taking the tour across the country!

Whether by YouTube comment or by email to faith@therebel.media, let me know which town you think we should visit next (and whether we should let the boys shoot with us, too.)

There’s only one problem with that suggestion, SPACE MOOSE, and it’s a safety issue. When you are shooting down range you will be shooting into America.
The first rule of firearms safety is to ALWAYS consider your firearm is loaded and therefore ALWAYS have your firearm pointed in a safe direction!
Building a 8,891 K (5,525 M) berm to shoot into may be a tad expensive…even for Justin’s taxpayer funded largesse.
But basically a good suggestion…because we need solutions…and the weather is warming up.

Hold these events in towns where the fake refugees are coming over.

I don’t get why this event is targeted exclusively or even primarily to women; I’m sure plenty of men are curious about guns and would enjoy such an event. I know I would! Of course, I’m assuming the cost is reasonable; if you want a lot of money to participate, I would reluctantly choose not to go.

As a kid, my brother and I shot pellet guns – both a pistol and a rifle – in the basement but I’ve never fired a “real” gun. I think it would be fun to fire a pistol, rifle and maybe a shotgun too.

Somewhere in the Kitchener/London area would be ideal for me.

What is not to like about girls and guns?
Being excluded?

I fired my first .22 when I was 10… Never will forget the moment… I know my grandchildren will do the same…

Peter.. Peter.. Peter… To expect a CBC news crew to turn up to cover such an event, would be like expecting a village of medieval Romanians to turn up to place flowers at Dracula’s tomb… Just not going to happen… Unless of course Canadian ladies start turning out by the thousands to such events!?…Only to be wished, eh?…

I’m really looking forward to seeing you at your seminar at the CSSA General Meeting in Saskatoon on Saturday. I’ll be the one with the buckskin coat…

GLAD TO SEE YOUR EVENT WENT SO WELL.
MY SUGGESTION IS TO DO A CROSS COUNTRY GALS & GUNS TOUR BEGINNG IN NEW FOUNDLAND AND ENDING IN VICTORIA B.C.
THE OTHER SUGGESTION IS TO CHANGE THE NAME A LITTLE. LIKE GALS WITH GUNS BRING THEIR MEN. OR MAYBE GUYS LOVE GALS WITH GUNS or else

Glad you gals had a great time, Faith!

I’m surprised that you did not have a CBC reporter there to generate a fabricated falsified report on all the evil guns and all the women running around shooting the guns wildly into he air screaming racist and Islamophobic slurs, and other evil extremist right wing activities.

Great idea, Faith. I’m glad to hear it went so well. I would suggest it take place in the biggest lefty enclaves to give some perspective the urbo-wenies who have no experience in the joys of shooting.

Our local club had an open house day a few years ago where they supplied the pistols and ammo so non-shooters could get the experience and info first hand. And not one person came away with PTSD! Turns out my daughter is a really good shot with a IPSC open 45 pistol. I was thrilled. More clubs should do something like that.
If you decide to do one in Winnipeg she’ll be there.
