There’s a gender-bending brouhaha going on in Nova Scotia after a transgender activist named Serina Slaunwhite, born male, filed a human rights complaint against the province demanding breast implants paid for by taxpayers.
Slaunwhite’s been denied a free ride, rightfully being told by the province that his desire to sport fake boobs is not a medical necessity.
But, since it’s 2018, he stomped over to the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission because apparently, a man’s wish to have his very own set of C-cups is a “human right.”
According to a CBC report, Slaunwhite filed the human rights complaint claiming there’s a double standard in that if a woman decides to become a man, the taxpayer is on the hook for breast-removal, but the province won’t pay for a breast-addition if a man wants to become a woman.
Slaunwhite has a point about a double standard, it’s just that his remedy is faulty.
In my book, neither breast removal or breast addition should be on the taxpayer dime!
